***UPDATE*** Yes, McDonalds has promised to remove the pink stuff from their products, BUT- it is still found in many grocery items that you may buy for your family. It is found even in name brand foods and foods that may surprise you. Please help us to get this practice STOPPED.

If your food contains ’mechanically processed chicken, turkey or pork’ it can contain any part of the whole animal including the eyes and the guts.. Then, because of the bacteria it contains it is washed with ammonia and because it tastes awful it then has artificial flavors and colors added. This has been linked to food allergies, digestive issues and cancer.

This mechanically separated meat is found in hot dogs, bologna, pepperoni, salami, some jerky and chicken nuggets to name a few.

Do you honestly want to feed your family this stuff?

FYI- In the US, Beef is not supposed to be processed this way due to mad cow disease. You should check all labels carefully though as we went to buy a salsbury dinner and found it to contain mechanically separated chicken and pork in addition to the beef which was not mechanically processed.
