  • To help relieve chest congestion due to a cold or flu, soak a piece of brown paper in apple cider vinegar and cover one side with black pepper. Strap the paper (pepper-side down) to the chest area and leave on for approximately 30 minutes.
  • To calm a stubborn cough due to a cold or flu, sprinkle some apple cider vinegar onto the pillow before you sleep.
  • To soothe a sore throat due to a cold or flu, mix equal parts of apple cider vinegar and water and gargle every hour, making sure to rinse your mouth thoroughly afterwards in order to prevent the acid from eroding the enamel on your teeth.

S wine flu update

Reading the news today is scary business. The s wine flu is spreading and the World Health Organization just increased the pandemic s wine flu alert level from phase 3 to phase 4. This is just two levels below a declaration of a full pandemic.
This increase in the s wine flu alert level is due to the fact that there has now been a sustained human to human transmission of this new s wine flu virus. Scientists now feel that the government needs to concentrate on slowing the spread of the s wine flu virus instead of trying to contain it.
Mexico has now closed all schools until at least May sixth.
Confirmed cases of the s wine flu have doubled in the US although, it is important to note that, all cases of s wine flu in the US have been treated without serious consequences.
There are also new cases of the s wine flu being reported in Canada, Spain and Scotland

1. Be sure to avoid stress whenever possible
2. Find time to relax each day- something as simple as a nap, a bubblebath, reading a good book, watching a movie. These will help you to relax and get your mind off of your worries- at least for a little while.
3. Consider taking a multi-vitamin
4. Eat more fruits and vegetables, eat organic if possible, eat less junk food (or better yet-None)
5. Get plenty of sleep. 8 hours is recommended for most people
6. Exercise- even just a daily walk can help you to wind down and relax while helping your health

7. Breathe deep in the fresh air often or use an air purifier

Flu Pandemic- S W I N E (H1N1) flu Level Raised

Sorry for those of you that liked my previous s e i n e flu blog but I had to change it and move it due to being unable to post to it for several weeks. I gave numerous other blogs and can post to them with no problem so I have mny ideas of why the trouble with that 1 blog. decided to try this and hope that it won’t end up blocked as well

Who has now listed the h1n1 s w i n e flu as a pandemic.

People are being told not to panic but I have to wonder why we were hearing so much about it when it was around 100 or so victims and yet, all of a sudden, we are being told that it has now affected 29,000 people.

Why have we been kept in the dark about this?

S wine Flu Spam?

I just read about that there is now and increase in spam with subject lines to do with the s wine flu. Such subject lines as (will list some celebrity such as…) ‘Madonna infected with s wine flu’
Now these spam s wine flu emails could just be a waste of your time or they could be someone trying to sell you a product or ( I could see someone coming out with a s wine flu computer virus) so BEWARE!
I also see that people all over the net are scared. Some of them don’t know if s wine flu can kill you and are wondering if it has been found in their state yet.
Yes, the s wine flu- as with any flu- has the potential to kill you. BUT, this is more apt to affect very young children, the elderly and those with a compromised immune system-usually not the general public.
As far as I am aware at this time, the US has had just one death from the s wine flu and it was a toddler who came from Mexico.

People, please do NOT panic! Yes, this is a terrible time but stress will actually harm your immune system which could then put you more at risk for getting ANY illness. You need your immune system to be strong to fight off whatever life throws at you.
