New Biggest Loser Game

Sunday, August 9th, 2009

A lot of us that have had a whole lot of fun playing the Biggest Loser memory game where we matched the different contestants before and after pictures.
Now there is a brand new Biggest Loser game and I must say that I am becoming addicted to it :0)LOL
I have surprisingly managed to handle not being able to watch the Biggest Loser tv show. A big part of the reason why not being able to see Biggest Loser all summer hasn’t been as bad as I had thought that it would be (and as bad as it usually is) is because my mind has been so totally consumed by everything that has been going on around here.
The year started off on a really bad foot and has continued to stay that way for the most part.
I was working for my cousin and found her lying in a pool of blood at the bottom of her stairs. She had fallen down her basement steps and hit her head on the cement floor.
We lost a very good friend, our cousin and my job that day.
Since then we have lost more friends and relatives, I have had health problems and we have had car trouble several times that extended into a much bigger ordeal than we had thought and hoped it would be.

On top of all of that, one of my best friend’s lost her sister just 2 days after we lost our cousin Judy (when I lost my job) and her mom died shortly after that. Her other sister just committed suicide and her nephew was the one to find her. She had hung herself.

Now I am concerned about my friend and her nephew. I am worried that this all might be too much for them. She says that she would never do that. But I still worry. She is like a sister to me and an Aunt to my son.

So, we have been trying to be supportive to help her to get through these tough times.

With all of this that has been going on I hope that you can all understand why I haven’t been blogging as much as I had planned on.

We have several blogs as you can see on our

mepage for Oaks Blogs and right now we are behind on adding new posts because of all that has been going on. We hope everyone will be understanding about it now that you know the reasons why.
So this summer has been a busy and stressful one but recently I saw a tv commercial for the Biggest Loser and since then I have been feeling the effects of having to wait so long to see BL.
So, I decided to do some looking and see what new news I could find about the Biggest Loser and guess what I found?

Yep, you guessed it- a brand new Biggest Loser game.

Seeing how things have been going around here I really was happy to find something that not only will entertain me and get my mind off of all of the sad things but also includes my favorite tv show ‘The Biggest Loser’

The only drawback is the fact that I could see myself becoming addicted to this new Biggest Loser game. When I play and do great I want to try to do better. And when I don’t get a good score then I want to play again so that I can try to get a better score.

I really like this new game. You use your knowledge about which foods are healthy and which foods are unhealthy- but don’t worry- it’s not rocket science ;0)lol

Got you interested? Want to try your hand at it and see how well you do?
You too can play the new Biggest Loser Game.

Recipe for Disaster-Unhealthy Kids Foods

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

If you have kids you know that they can be very adamant about what they like and what they want to eat.

As adults we don’t always eat the healthiest foods- as is witnessed by obesity and rampant disease throughout not only the USA but all over the world. We need to be more aware of what foods are healthy and which foods are unhealthy. And it is never more important than when it comes to our children

The food choices that we make are never more important than when it comes to kids.

Bad food choices are bad enough for adults but kids being so much smaller these bad choices can add up even more quickly.

IMHO toxins in our kids foods can build up to unhealthy levels more quickly than in children.

Do you realize that there are kids foods that your child should not be eating?

For instance, take tv dinners. They are a popular fast food that many parents choose because they are quick and easy. You may keep your freezer stocked up with them for times when you don’t have time to cook a meal or when your child is home alone while you work as they can pop them into the microwave and have a ‘home cooked’ meal in minutes.

But do you realize the amounts of sodium and other items that are excessive and could be very unhealthy? (This applies not just for your kids but you too)

I am not saying that you should throw out all of the tv dinners that you have in your freezer as that would be wasteful. But, be aware and try to make healthier choices from now on.

Even within brands you will find that certain meals have a lot more sodium than others. Try to lean towards the lower sodium/lower fat meals

Even a popular tv dinner that is geared towards children is guilty of the same thing so do not just think that it is for children and should be healthy. Take a few minutes and look at the nutrition chart and the ingredients.

How about crackers? They are a quick and easy snack that is popular not only with kids but adults too.

There is a popular name brand cracker that is geared towards children and yet the sodium levels in these crackers is very high.

A better choice? Graham crackers. They were popular when I was a child and I gave them to my son as a treat too. I am talking about plain old fashioned graham crackers. The popular new ones with all of that sugar and cinnamon on them has a LOT of sugar so feed them to your child accordingly. One of them once in a while would be fine but not large amounts of them.

Many parents think that fruit rollups are a good healthy snack for kids to get their vitamins.

Many of the fruit rollups that are geared towards kids are actually high in sugar. Check brands and compare. Better yet? Give your child the real thing. An apple, grapes or other fruit is fast food too and is high in vitamins, minerals and fiber.

Keeping fruits and vegetables washed, cored and ready to eat in containers in your refrigerator makes it easy for kids (and YOU) to snack on them instead of junk food. A container (or baggie) of apple slices with a small container of peanut butter makes for a healthier snack ,or meal, choice.

Fruit drinks

taste great and kids love them. The bad thing? They can be full of sugars, artificial colors and preservatives.

Better? Get your kids to drink real fruit juice. Want to send some for your child to drink with their lunch? Afraid of it spoiling? Freeze some in a bottle and put in with their meal in the morning. This helps keep other items cold and will be thawed for lunch time ready to drink.

Prepackaged lunch trays

are a common item for kids. They are already packaged and so are an easy to take meal for your child. But, these items can be high in sodium and other items such as preservatives.

If you feel you need to buy these for your children then at least compare labels and compare ‘meals’ within each label for the best choice.

The best choice would be for you to get your child an insulated lunch bag with a water bottle or thermos. You can freeze bottles of real fruit juice or milk ( even chocolate) and send sandwiches, fruit and prepared vegetables all ready to eat. These are fast and easy too but are full of good nutrition that will help your child to stay healthy, build strong bones and feed their brains so that they do better in school.

Soup

is healthy-USUALLY. Yet again, you need to be checking labels for ingredients and nutrition. Soups that are geared for children do not necessarily mean that they are healthy for kids.

Better yet? Homemade soup. It is not difficult. Anyone can make it and it will be full of good nutrition without all of the sodium and preservatives.

Don’t have time? Make large batches and freeze them in individual servings. Use a slow cooker so that your home made meal can be thrown together the night before and sat in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning just get your soup, or meal, going on your slow cooker. When you and your family come home you will have a good for you home cooked meal that was fast and easy.

Many people have switched from candy bars to granola bars as a healthier snack. BUT, some granola bars are full of bad ingredients too. As with everything else- check your labels.

Another healthier option might be to make your own granola bars so that you control what goes in them. Too hard? No they’re not.

Macaroni and cheese

is a huge favorite among kids and adults alike. Some popular brands are geared more towards kids with fun shapes and yet they are high in sodium.

I am starting to feel like a broken record…..uhhhhh…scratched cd :0)LOL

Check your labels people.

A better choice? Home made macaroni and cheese. Use whole grain pasta with low fat cheese and milk. This is easy to make. You can freeze small portions for individual servings to be heated later so making a large batch once every 2-4 weeks takes no more time than making enough for 1 meal and you will be all set for weeks.

Waffles

make for a fast easy breakfast and yet some of the prepackaged waffles you buy may not be the best choice due to high sodium and high sugar content.

Do you ever make home made waffles? When you do just make a double or triple batch and put the extra in the freezer for warming in the toaster in minutes for a ‘home made’ breakfast.

Cereal

? Kids cereals are full of sugar and sodium. Start your kids on the path to good nutrition by starting them early on whole grains. Too late? Try getting them to eat a mixture of whole grain cereal an kids cereal. Slowly increase the whole grain cereal and decrease the kid cereal.

I did this with my son and he likes to eat bran cereal, raisin bran and other healthy cereals

Lunchmeat

? Clearly all lunchmeats are not created equal. Check your labels and be aware that it is much better when you are able to to cook extra meat when you make your meals. Make sandwiches out of the extra. Or, make your own lunchmeat. It is not as hard as you might think and you can control how much salt goes into it, avoid preservatives and unhealthy amounts of fat.

I have told you about many choices that you can make to feed you and your family healthier food. Some of them you would be better off preparing at home. Think that it is too hard to make these items at home? Keep your eyes open as I am going to be bringing you an ebook that will give you the tools you need to make healthier foods for your family fast and easy.

5 Fat Burning Foods….

Sunday, May 24th, 2009

Okay, earlier I promised you that I would try to list 5 of the top fat burning foods and here they are.

But first I would like to say that if you are trying to lose weight filling up on fat burning foods is a great idea but you don’t have to just stick with eating fat burning foods all of the time. You can eat pretty much any food and still be able to lose weight. The key is moderation.

Individually wrapped sweets can be a good way to practice portion control. You know what I mean- the bags of little candy bars like you give out at Halloween?

As long as you make sure not to eat the whole bag and can stop at just 1 or 2 you are ok.

Maybe a way to help with this would be to keep the bag in the freezer and only take out 1 or 2 to thaw as your treat for a day or two.

Something else that might help would be to set a simple rule. When you want to have a treat you should always try to make sure that you have had a good healthy meal first. Treats are just that a TREAT they are not a meal.

Before actually having your treat you might want to always have a glass of water and make yourself wait something like 10-15 minutes.

This way you have the opportunity to see if you REALLY want the treat or if you were just thirsty.

If you simply follow these 3 rules it can help keep you from gobbling them down and not even being able to taste them.

In this way you can actually enjoy them guilt free. A simple treat once in a while is fine. So don’t beat yourself up over it.

When you deprive yourself until you can’t stand it then you are much more likely to binge on them and possibly eat thousands of calories.

You might also want to keep on hand other ‘treats’ like fruits and vegetable that are ready for snacking instead of fatty, unhealthy foods like potato chips and other fried salty snacks.

Having bags or containers of fruits and vegetables all cleaned, peeled and sliced makes them handy for grabbing when you want a snack.

Anyway, so here are the fat burning foods that I promised you.

Now remember, these are just 5 of the list of many fat burning foods that I will be listing in my ebook once it goes to the paid full version. I am giving you these 5 fat burning foods as well as complete information on exactly HOW I lost weight without dieting or exercise. If you hurry right now you can get started losing weight today without having to pay anything at all for the information.

The only reason that the e-book will be going to a paid version is simply because as a single mother I gave got to be able to pay the bills. I am sure you can understand that right?

So, grab your copy now for free just for being early bird visitors to My Biggest Loser Blog,

Here are the 5 fat burning foods:

Apples

Watermelon

Cucumbers

Radishes

Pineapple

Oh heck, here’s a couple extra free fat burning foods for you :0)

Celery

Spinach

Now, in order for these to stay Fat Burning Foods you need to eat them as close to their natural state as possible.

Raw is best as the enzymes in them will help your body to digest your foods better and assimilate the nutrition better.

You can steam or boil but the most important thing is to watch what you put ON them. Forget the salt shaker. Try to learn to enjoy the natural flavor of your food. Or, if you need to add something then try herbs and spices.

Don’t smother them in butter or other high calorie condiments

A simple low fat vanilla yogurt with fresh fruit can be a tasty treat while also helping your body to burn fat.

Try eating some raw fruits or vegetables each day. This is especially important as you get older because as we age our body’s enzyme stores aren’t as strong. We need raw natural enzymes to help to properly digest foods.

When foods are properly digested they don’t stagnate in our colon and become breeding grounds for bacteria and parasites. They don’t stick like glue to our colon walls and cause other foods to stick to them too building a thick sludge that makes it impossible for our body to get the nutrition from the food we eat and causing us to gain weight.

Did you know that Elvis, and other people who have passed on, have had as much as 50 pounds (or more) of garbage in their colon? That all shows up as extra weight on your scales every time that you get weighed.

Besides being unhealthy, I think that the thought of having food that you ate years ago still lying there inside your body is pretty disgusting. You should always be eliminating approximately the same amount as what you are eating each day.

I read once that it is important to eat raw foods daily. Now you know why. Raw foods will help keep your body’s digestive system running more smoothly

Learning to love these fat burning foods raw is not as hard as you might think.

Example: When I was a child I have fond memories of my Mom making corn on the cob. I remember the steaming hot corn all slippery with lots of melted butter and sprinkling lots of salt all over it just like my Mom did. I remember the warm tangy corn and the fabulous flavors dancing on my tongue.

Ok, are you hungry for corn on the cob now? :0)lol

Now, my son and I – once in a blue moon-do have our corn with a bit of butter on it but for the most part we have found that we enjoy the naturally sweet flavor of corn on the cob raw. Not right out of the refrigerator cold -just room temp.

Matter of fact we just had some today. We had our chickens out running around the yard and we were outside having some fresh raw corn on the cob. As we would drop a kernel the chickens would run over and squabble over the kernels.

When we would finish a section we would break it off from the rest of the cob- making sure to leave a few kernels on it and would toss it to the chickens.

Now, if you enjoy nature at all you would love to see the hilarious site of those chickens running after the corn cob. One would grab it and try carrying this big piece of corn in their beak while running with all of the others chasing them trying to get it away.

Doesn’t matter how many pieces you toss down they always do the same thing and it is just as cute and funny to watch the first time as it is the 21st.

We have more corn and if the weather cooperates maybe we will try to video tape some of this hilarity for you all to enjoy too.

Anyway, sorry for wandering off like that. My point was that even though I was brought up to like eating my corn on the cob in a basically unhealthy way (though we didn’t know that back then) I taught my son to like eating it the same exact way and yet we both now love eating our corn on the cob raw just as much (if not more) than eating it the fattening, unhealthy way.

Talk about fast food?

All you need to do is peel off the husk, remove the silks and you are ready to eat some sweet and delicious food within seconds. So, even if you think that you could NEVER like eating raw natural foods without all of that butter, salt and calories you should think again and give it a try.

The smaller kernels are sweeter. Big kernels are usually tougher and not as flavorful.

BTW, when we DO cook our corn on the cob we like to leave it in the husk and toss it in the microwave for a couple of minutes per each ear of corn. We can cook several ears of corn at a time this way and it is quick and easy. It steams the corn so it is really moist and delicious and so EASY to make.

Another way is to leave it in the husk and put it on the grill to cook through

Another example? Strawberries are on sale this week. My son and I got some and we just enjoy snacking on them in the evening just plain. We enjoy their naturally sweet goodness without adding anything. They are DELICIOUS!!!

Now, the guy that I work for likes strawberries too. BUT, he has to have them covered with splenda. I don’t mean a light sprinkle on top I am talking about COVERED with it all over through the whole bowl.

Course this man also has me put spoonful after spoonful of Splenda into pretty much everything- including spanish rice, goulash, etc. I don’t know about you but when I have a dish with meat in it I don’t want it to taste disgustingly sweet. I save sweet taste for my treats.

So, which way do you think is healthier? Enjoying the fresh natural taste of strawberries and other foods or throwing on tons of sugar, splenda, salt, butter, etc.?

Hey, I like to put condiments on food too but I try to enjoy the natural flavors of foods as much as possible because most condiments have calories and some have a LOT of calories. By eating less condiments you can enjoy a LOT more food each day for the same amount of calories

Later! :0)

Biggest Loser is finished

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

Taping the first week of season 8 that is. Alison Sweeney says that it was an emotional night when they wrapped up that first week.

I have asked her when Biggest Loser will start again in the Fall and am waiting to hear back from her. I will let you know as soon as I find out.

I bet the contestants are working their butts off and losing huge amounts of weight as it seems that the first week on the Biggest Loser the contestants usually losethe highest numbers of all of the weight that they lose while on the Biggest Loser ranch.

I can’t wait to find out more about the contestants- who they are, where they come from, how much weight they need to lose, why they want to lose the weight so vadly that theywere able to manage to get on the Biggest Loser tv show, etc.

It is always so interesting to find out the stories behind each contestant.

I just was reading that someone thinks that Helen is TOO skinny to the point that they think that she looks unhealthy.

Now I admit that Helen is pretty tiny but I don’t think that she looks unhealthy. I don’t think that she needs to lose any more weight at this point. I think that she has lost enough weight for someone her size.

Helen says that she has some sagging skin but that her doctor told her to wait a year before she considers having surgery to remove it.

I think that if she just keeps exercising that she should be able to tone the sagging skin without any surgery at all.

When someone loses a lot of weight like that they Do sometimes need to have surgery but I don’t think that surgery is anything that they should jump into. Helen’s doctor seems to have the right idea and I think that it is good advice.

What do YOU think? Do you think that Biggest Loser’s Helen is too thin and unhealthy? Or do you think that she is just right for her size.

BTW if you want to see something AMAZING you should check out the transformations on NBC’s Biggest Loser site. Helen, Mike and Tara’s transformations are jaw dropping.

You can even go back to seasons 3,4,5 & 6 and watch the great transformations from past season’s. The transformations of season 5′s Kelly, Ali and Roger  are pretty amazing too. I spent some time over there last night just checking out how different everyone looks after losing so much weight. Wouldn’t it be cool if you could lose weight as fast as the transformations show it? It wouldn’t be healthy but OHHHH to lose weight that fast and be skinny almost instantly? Maybe in the future huh? :0)LOL

More to say about the Biggest Loser Finale

Friday, May 15th, 2009

Hi, I’m back. Sorry I didn’t get back sooner but my boss had surgery and so I have had to work extra as well as finish finding homes for the last few cats that my cousin left behind when she died.
Would you like a cat? ;0)
Ok, now was anyone REALLY surprised that America chose Mike over Ron?
Was it just that they like Mike better? Was it because of Ron asking that they give his son the chance to be the 3rd finalist and that he have the opportunity to be the Biggest Loser?
After seeing how many people were voting my polls saying that they wanted Ron to go home even weeks ago I have to wonder if Mike got to be the 3rd finalist simply because people didn’t seem to take to Ron for some reason.
Anyway, I would have been happy no matter which of them got to be the 3rd finalist but I was happy that Mike be given such a great opportunity as- even though Ron has lost a lot of weight and looks good- Mike has really worked hard and it is absolutely AMAZING how much weight he has lost and how different he looks.
I loved the fact that Biggest Loser was on for 3 hours instead of the usual 2. It didn’t seem so rushed. And yet, even with a full 3 hours it didn’t seem to be enough :0)
I thought it was great that Biggest Loser had some of the winnders from previous seasons but it would have been great if we could have heard a bit more from them about how they are doing now.
They all seem to be keeping the weight off and look great!
OMG0 could you believe it when Jerry took the lead for the Biggest Loser at home $100,000 winner and kept it!?
It just floors me to think of how Jerry was so unhealthy when he came on Biggest Loser that he passed out and we were worried that he would die.
Then to see him walk out on the stage and be so skinny. He and estella both looked wonderful and they seem so happy.
We are happy for them both for their weight loss and for Jerry’s win.
Wow! Everyone- well, almost everyone- looked great and had lost so much weight.
Looking at my chart from my previous post you can see at a glance what the contestants weighed when they first started on Biggest Loser, how much they weigh now and how much weight that they lost.
It is easy to see who really tried and who didn’t try as much.
I couldn’t believe Dan when he walked on stage. He has lost so much weight and he looks great.
Keep up the great work Dan- You WILL reach your goal!!!
We saw Filipe’s dad in the audience and he looked great. It was good to see him looking so healthy after he had that stroke.
We like the fact that Kirsten, Sione and Filipe are helping others to lose weight by passing on the knowledge that they gained at the Biggest Loser ranch.
Tara also vowed to pass on the knowledge that she had gained from her tim on the Biggest Loser ranch.
There may have been others too but those are the only ones I can think of right now.
It was nice to see Carla and Joelle getting along again. They both had lost a nice amount of weight but Carla really lost a lot. She lost 128 pounds which is a whole person.
Just from what I have seen of Carla and my talks with her I believe that she will continue on her weight loss journey and will reach her goal too :0)
And wasn’t it something that the two oldest, and unhealthiest, men were the ones that were neck and neck to win the Biggest Loser at home $100,000 prize?
And that if Ron had just lost something like 5 more pounds that HE would have beat Jerry?
Then we take a look at the 3 Biggest Loser finalists…
Mike lost a total of 207 pounds while Tara lost 155 and Helen lost the least amount of the 3 with losing 140 pounds. And YET Helen was the Biggest Loser with the highest weight loss percentage.
Each one of the 3 finalists lost an entire PERSON!
And Ron lost nearly 2 whole people!
This season of Biggest Loser was wonderful. We were so happy that you could really enjoy the show without all of the backstabbing and meaneness that we witnessed last season.
I wasn’t thrilled with Ron making sure that Mike would vote in such a way as to send Kirsten home and then act like he had no control ove Mike and he would NEVER have sent Kirsten home after all he had promised her mother that he would take care of her.
Okay, I understand the love of a parent for a child and being in th same place I might even do the same. Who is to know until they themself are in such a spot?
But, after all of last season’s nastiness this was a small thing and when seeing how everyone came together to walk with Ron across the finish line during the race I think that I can overlook his sneakiness and concentrate more on the unity that hisinjury brought about between not only this season’s members but previous Biggest Loser members too.
And, for those that haven’t yet realised it – PINK Won AGAIN!!!
That is 3 times in a row that Pink has won. Hmmmm…. makes you wonder it there will be some knock down drag out fights over who will be pink this next season? :0)
Now, I am thinking of a contest to try to help some of you to lose weight that need to. I don’t have everything figured out yet but I will be working on it and I will let you know as soon as I have it ready.
Just because Biggest Loser is done for the Summer doesn’t mean we are here at My Biggest Loser Blog. Summer is the time for showing skin and for those that ar overweight it is an embarassing time.
Let’s take advantage of Biggest Loser’s hiatus and we will spend that time trying to help each other to lose weight-K?
Have some weight loss tips? Great recipes?
I am setting up a My Biggest Loser Blog community. I can’t remember right now if it is ready or not. As I said before this is all new to me and I am still figuring everything out.
I will try to find time to check it out and finish it if it isn’t already asap. Then I want for us all to post weight loss tips and recipes all summer long. Post how you are coming on losing your weight. Maybe find a weight loss buddy whereas you can urge each other on.
In the meantime, if you haven’t already, check out my free report and try using the method I explain in there. I lost 10-12 dress sizes with no dieting or exercise and have been keeping it off with no effort.
Sound unbelievable? Maybe so but, it DID happen and, I showed you pictures to prove it.
Whatever you think it does NOT cost you anything for the information and even to get started is the cheapest way you will probably ever lose weight.
Just from using my method I have seen a difference in our grocery bill that more than covers what I spent to get started. Half of my method is a one time fee of less than $20- you will NEVER need to buy this again and yet it will help you to lose weight from now on if you just use it and using it is EASY!!!
Ok, time to go as I have to work again tomorrow.
I’ll be posting more soon so please bookmark us and keep checking back.
Later! :0)

Why do some Biggest Loser contestants gain the weight back while others don’t?

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

I just read a post on another blog about the Biggest Loser. This person thinks that Biggest Loser is flawed in the way that they help people to lose weight. They believe that all former Biggest Loser contestants gain the weight back.
I KNOW differently. You see, I am in touch with many of the former contestants of Biggest Loser and I have to say that all of the former Biggest Loser contestants that I am in contact with are maintaining their weight loss.
Sure, some are having a bit more of a struggle than others but I think that some of those are people that weren’t on the Biggest Loser as long. Maybe they didn’t learn as much about how to lose the wieght and keep it off, maybe they didn’t deal with the reason why they gained the weight in the first place.
I understand that there ARE some former Biggest Loser contestants that have gained back the weight that they lost while on the show but I think that I know why that is the case- at least for some of them.
In more recent season’s of the Biggest Loser tv show we have seen that game play has become more of an issue.
Why is this?
Simply because for many of these Biggest Loser contestants that are more concerned with the game play aspect of Biggest Loser are the very people that are on the Biggest Loser tv show more for the money and the fame that can come with being a contestant.
Now, I am not saying that this is the case with ALL contestants that are involved in game play but I think that for many it is true.
I can also see that when certain people that were on Biggest Loser are there more for fame and fortune that they do not take the time to deal with the issues of why they gained all of that weight in the first place.
They do not learn the lessons of nutrition, exercise and feeding the body for energy and health rather than using the food for entertainment and stuffing down the emotions that are the reason that they got fat in the first place.
The Biggest Loser contestants that dealt with the issues that made them gain the weight are the ones that are much more likely to keep that weight off rather than to gain it back.
Maybe that might not be the case with every Biggest Loser contestant but I would say that it would cover a good percentage of former Biggest Loser contestants.
How can you manage to keep the weight off when you go right back to eating the same way and the same unhealthy food choices?
How can you keep the weight off when you haven’t dealt with the underlying reason that made you gain the weight in the first place?
How can you keep the weight off if you haven’t changed the way that you feel about food and it’s role in your life?
I say that for people that want to be on the Biggest Loser tv show just to try to win the money then they should go on a game show. Want fame and fortune? Can you sing? Dance? Have some other talent? Go on America’s Got Talent or some other reality tv show that is for becoming famous rather than one that is about losing weight.
Now, if you REALLY want to lose weight and just hope for some fame and fortune as a by product of that weight loss then that is fine as long as you can keep your mind focused on the reason you are there at the Biggest Loser ranch- to Lose Weight!
Concern yourself with rethinking how you feel about food, dealing with emotional issues that got you where you are, learn how to eat healthy and how to exercise properly so that you have the tools that you will need to lose the weight and keep it off.
But don’t go on the Biggest Loser tv show specifically for the express purpose of gaining fame and fortune from stabbing your fellow contestanst in the back and then whine later about how you went on the Biggest Loser tv show and you gained all of the weight back so it is THEIR fault not YOURS!
Did they put a gun to your head and force you to eat fatty, unhealthy foods while sitting on your butt watching tv or playing video games?
Biggest Loser is here to help people to lose weight, and they ARE doing that all over the world, but they are NOT going to be by your side day by day for the rest of your life to stop you from going back to the very habits that made you gain the weight.
It is YOUR responsibility to learn WHY you gained the weight and deal with those issues if you Honestly want to keep the weight off.
It is not easy. But losing all of that weight isn’t easy. Why go to all of that trouble if you are not wiling to change the way that you think and feel about food and WHY you gained all of that weight in the first pace?
Well that’s my rant for now :0)lol Listen, my new website is so much differnt that my My Biggest Loser Blog that I had over on Blogger. I am still learning about where everything is and how to use it. I was able to get a poll app installed and I even managed to get a few polls going but now I cannot find them!?
I thought that they would be on the side of the page but they aren’t there.
Does anyone know about wordpress blogs, the poll apps and where I can find my polls?
Help!???
