Tuesday, November 17th, 2009Dan and Shay Go home
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009Red line? Why the heck do we have to have a red line this week? It is hard enough to have one person go home each week but to have to send home two?
All through the Biggest Loser tonight, knowing that 2 people would be gong home, was awful. Worrying about who would go home. Hoping that at least one, if not both, would not be our favorites. Only to find that of all the people that could go home that it would be that they were our 2 favorites
Our Two FAVORITES! UGH!!!
I know that some people will argue that Dan has been on the show more than anyone else but Dan won over our heart last season and we were so surprised and elated that he was brought back to be able to finish what he started.
Dan went home way too early last season and, although he did well at home, he never got the opportunity to deal with what got him to the size that he was when he first came on the Biggest Loser ranch. When he came back this season we already loved him and we were hoping that he would end up being one the finalists this season.
Though Dan managed to stay on the ranch a lot longer this season we found out tonight that our hopes of him being one of the finalists was not to be. With his falling below the red line Dan had no second chance, no pleading his case…..he just went home.
I was upset about Dan going home but also worried about who was going to end up being below the yellow line. We already had lost one of our favorites.. would we lose another one too?
We were hoping and praying that the worst would not happen.
But it DID!
Shay, from the moment you stepped off of that bus and on to the Biggest Loser ranch you won over America’s heart.
Watching you work so hard to attain your goals despite what all life has thrown at you was amazing.
Every time you worked out- we were rooting for you
Every time you tried to win a challenge- we were rooting for you
Every time you stepped up on the scales- we were rooting for you
Life may have handed you some lemons but you turned your life around and you made some major lemonade :0)lol
As sad as it was to see you go we were absolutely FLOORED when we saw you on Jay Leno and we saw hoe much weight you have lost.
WOW!!!
You have far surpassed what many would have thought you would do considering your size when you left the Biggest Loser ranch. You may not have been on there as long as you would have liked (or as long as we all had hoped for) but you obviously were on there long enough to learn what you needed to learn.
We saw the recent pic of you with Jillian and I have to say that as much weight as Dan has lost that he, and all of the other contestants that have gone home, better watch out cuz I think you have a VERY good chance of winning the home prize of $100,000.
Shay and Dan, you have done such an amazing job. You have lost the weight. You look AMAZING! You have changed your lives.
Reach for the stars and never look back!

Biggest Loser Tracey Goes Home
Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009What can I say about this week’s Biggest Loser show? For us, it was a dream come true. Believe me, there was a lot of cheering going on here and I am sure, by what I have been seeing and hearing, that the same was true for many other homes as well.
Tracey found a place in our heart when she collapsed the first week before she could even get on the Biggest Loser ranch. We worried about her while she was in the hospital and hoped that Moe could keep them there so that Tracey would have the chance to utilize the Biggest Loser facilities and to gain the necessary knowledge she needed from Bob and Jillian.
If we had known then what we know now we probably wouldn’t have (Ok, we definitely wouldn’t have) been rooting for her so much.
It seemed that right from the moment that Tracey came on the Biggest Loser ranch that she was all about ‘the game’. I understand that, to a certain extent, many people are. But, she was so obvious about it. She lied and she backstabbed people that trusted her.
THAT is what I don’t like. And as soon as Tracey started doing that…..we kicked her right out of that place she had been in inside our heart. Well, maybe not ‘as soon as’ , we did try to give her the benefit of the doubt. After all, maybe it was panic because she wouldn’t be able to exercise like the other contestants were.
But, with one dumb, or mean, move after another we found ourselves beginning to truly dislike Tracey. From everything we have seen and heard, both online and off, it seems that Tracey brought out a lot of anger, and for some it seems she brought out hate, in many people.
The more that we watched Tracey the more it seemed like we had another Vicky on the show. She made us want her to have to go home NOW! But week after week she managed to win challenges and stay above the yellow line. Even when she fell below the yellow line and we were certain that this was our moment, that this was going to be the week that Tracey actually went home… she always managed to stay.
When Tracey fell below the yellow line we were certain that with how she had backstabbed so many people on the Biggest Loser ranch that she would be sent home without hesitation. Yet Liz didn’t follow through on her promise to ‘send Tracey home the first chance she got’ and Moe stepped in and gave up his opportunity to stay on the ranch. We couldn’t believe that Moe took the fall for Tracey.
Well, as the weeks wore on I had nightmares of Tracey being a finalist and actually winning the prize money- UGH… the HORROR! I hate the idea of someone that lies and backstabs winning the money and being someone that people should ‘look up to’
We found ourselves wishing, and praying, that Tracey would go home. In our opinion, there were much more deserving people on the show that were dealing with the issues that got them where they were.
Well, we FINALLY got to see Tracey sent home! Actually, after how Liz didn’t send Tracey packing as she promised, and how she then turned around and became best friends with her, our opinion of Liz became lower and lower. We began wanting Liz to go home nearly as much as Tracey.
So, to have both Liz and Tracey face going home was an unexpected treat after so many weeks of seeing these two still on the ranch while people that we liked were being sent home one after another.
This was, without a doubt, one of our favorite Biggest Loser episodes this season.
How do you feel? Did you like Tracey? Were you happy or sad to see her get sent home?
BTW, after Biggest Loser was done did you happen to catch Tracey on The Jay Leno show? We couldn’t believe how much weight she had lost. Since she didn’t seem to deal with the issues that got her on the Biggest Loser ranch in the first place how did she manage to lose so much weight?
There has been talk that she was using diet pills while on the ranch- why else would she lose so much (enough to stay above the yellow line) when she couldn’t exercise? I can’t imagine that the Biggest Loser would allow that as it is in their rules that you cannot use diet pills. But, it does make me wonder if that could be how she managed to lose so much after she went home. I am not saying she did, I am just saying that it makes me wonder.
And did you notice that she still is all about ‘the game’? When Jay asked her how much she weighs now she wouldn’t tell because she doesn’t want the other contestants to know how much weight she has lost
Sorry Tracey if the truth hurts but I got to say that I am glad you went home. The Biggest Loser ranch is a much better place without people like you there. I also must admit that I am hoping that you don’t win the Biggest Loser at home prize. People that would step on those that they call friends just to get to the top are not people that should be rewarded for it.
Biggest Loser-Abbey Goes Home
Sunday, November 1st, 2009Did you see Biggest Loser Tuesday night? I was glued to the tv- laughing, yelling, wishing a certain 2 people would just ‘Go HOME!’ and crying my eyes out when Abbey…. Well, let’s start at the begining. From the get go when the black team came in from having to send Dina home and Liz made her comment about how it was fake tears and that she hoped that the black team would have to send someone else home this week so that she could see them cry real tears- I was PISSED! I don’t know about you, but I have not really liked Liz since she had the opportunity to send crazy Tracey home and didn’t. All of her talk about getting revenge and sending Tracey home the first chance that she got was just a bunch of talk. Since then it seems like her and Tracey are best buddies. It also seems that Liz is showing a side of her I just don’t like. She has been making comments that make her sound like a very bad sport. I really liked Liz when she first came on the Biggest Loser ranch but in the last few weeks my opinion of her has gone downhill. And Tracey? Well, my opinion of her has been bad since she first set foot on the ranch. When she was on the bus and was running the race for the first challange we liked her. When she collapsed we were very worried about her. Even while she was in the hospital she seemed nice. But since the moment she came to the ranch she has just went NUTS! Ok, tonight’s challenge: When Amanda was taking her turn she was really moving along and I think it is the best she has done on any of the challenges so far. It didn’t look like she had slowed down so I am still wondering why she quit when she did? I have to say that I have a feeling that if Amanda had stayed in it just 5 more minutes that the black team probably would have won. At the rate that she was racking up the points I firmly believe that it would have made a difference Everyone on the black team did pretty well but it seemed that Amanda was the one that really seemed to be racking up the points the fastest. For her size, Shay was really moving. She did much better than I had thought that she would. I am seeing big improvements in Shay in the time that she has been on the Biggest Loser ranch and I must say that she is winning the hearts of many. I feel so bad for her. Having a child myself, I cannot imagine treating my child the way that Shay’s mother treated her. I know that there are many people out there addicted to drugs and that this kind of thing happens far too often but I could never treat a child like that. Shay is so starved for the love that her mother should have given her. She is a wonderful person and for her mother to have not seen that and appreciated it is just such a tragedy. Shay we love you and we can see the bond that has developed between you and Abbey. There is your ‘mother’. Maybe that is why you both ended up on the Biggest Loser ranch- in order to find each other. Abbey has so much love to give and you deserve the love that she has to offer. We hope that you two will continue your friendship long after this season of Biggest Loser is done. Now Dan did a wonderful job- don’t get me wrong. He wanted to win it and he really put his all into it. Dan closed the gap in the points between the teams. For the black team to lose by a mere 3 points was heartbreaking for them. Dan, I am glad that you have realized that your mother’s ‘harping’ on you about your eating was done not to be mean but out of love. I think that this was a big breakthrough for you. A friend of mine had a mother who was obese. Now my friend has a daughter that is overweight and she tends to harp on her about her eating choices. Now since I knew her mom I understand why she does this. She is terribly afraid that her daughter is on the same path. Considering her age, her weight and her eating habits I tend to agree but I also think that sitting her daughter down and explaining why she feels the way that she does might be a better solution. Her daughter never met the grandmother because she died of cancer before Amanda (the grand daughter) was born. Because of this I think that Amanda probably is in much the same situation that Dan was before he realized that his mother was doing this out of love. Anyway, I am trying to be glad for the blue team but it is difficult because of how Tracey and Liz have been. I liked them both when this season of Biggest Loser started but now I find myself comparing them to Vicky and Heba and I just cannot stand the way that they have been behaving. I realize that with any game show that there will be gameplay involved but with Biggest Loser I think that the real reason for being there should be to lose weight and get healthy. The potential prize money should take a backseat. I can understand that as the finale gets closer that gameplay will start to factor in but I think that this season it started WAY TOO SOON with Tracey Now for the challenge, I think that the black team played it smart by combining their efforts against each of the biggest threats first and then working their way on down the line. It sure did pay off too. Ok, now for the weigh-in, does anyone else think that it was a big mistake to waste thier 2 pound advantage on Amanda? Have you noticed that Amanda seems to be the slimmest person on black team and yet she always seems to be taking the easy way out of a lot of the challenges? And who piped up about being the one to get the 2 pound advantage? Amanda. I have to wonder, since she lost the weigh-in even WITH the 2 pound advantage, what would have happened if someone else would have gotten it instead? Would the blue team have been the one to be ‘crying real tears’ as Liz put it? Have you noticed that Danny has gotten immunity in the weigh-in the last 2 weeks? He is worried that because of the friendship of the other black team members that they will send him home the first chance they get. Yet he is the one pulling the highest weight loss numbers. Now on to Abbey. This kind hearted woman has lost so much in her life. I hated to see her go home and yet I had to agree with her that her journey was more about being able to open herself up to love people again. To go through the kind of loss that she did would make it so hard for anyone to want to take a chance of loving people and losing them. I know as we have lost so many family members and friend’s of our family and it is so very hard each and every time. I find it harder and harder to open my heart to people because it hurts so much to lose them What Abbey did for her team was an act of unselfish love. To see that in the face of the blue teams greedy gamery just indeared the black team to my heart even more. It seems that the blue teams’ Tracey and Liz could take a few lessons from the kindness that we have seen shown by the black team members. Not all of the blue team members are the way that Tracey and Liz are but for now I find myself rooting for the black team every time due to Tracey and Liz. Once they are sent home maybe I can again feel joy for the other blue team members when they win a challenge but for now I cannot stand those 2 Vicky/Heba wannabees and will be glad to see them go home. Everyone else seems to be more about being at the Biggest Loser ranch to lose weight and learn about healthy food choices but all I see from them is gameplay. I think that Neil started the whole gameplay thing with his water weight gain a few seasons ago and now it seems that more and more players are there for gameplay. I am tired of the gameplay. Give me contestants like Abbey, Shay, Dan, Danny, Sean, Antoinne, etc. Contestants like them make the world a better place with their kindheartedness. The blue team did help out with the food bank and I liked that. I just cannot stand the way that Tracey and Liz have been acting and the comments that they have made. Anway,we would love to hear comments from you and to know how you feel about Tracey and Liz as well as how you feel about Abbey’s sacrifice for her teammates. BTW, I will be posting more soon. Wondering who the other 12 Biggest Loser alumni are that ran the triathlon? I’ll be telling you. Wondering about Jillian’s new weight loss show and if she is leaving Biggest Loser? I will be poating about that as well. Take care ~Michelle & Josh
Biggest Loser last week and tonight
Wednesday, October 21st, 2009Hi All.
I am sorry that I didn’t post last week. I had every intention of doing so until the last few minutes of Biggest Loser.
I really enjoyed the show and from how everything was going we were so SURE that Tracey was going home.
I don’t know about all of you but Josh and I are fed up with her being all about ‘the game’ and how she has stabbed every one in the back.. but that’s ok because it’s just ‘a game’
It seemed like everything was lining up just perfectly and Tracey was going home. We were laughing and so happy because we were so sure that we had seen the last of her so that the rest of the players could get back to being supportive like they were before she kept pushing ’the game, the game’
Liz was talking about how southern women get even, how she was going to be so nice to Tracey and then send her home first chance she got and she wouldn’t even see it coming.
Then Coach MO spoke up and all of that went right down the drain.
WHAT HAPPENED????
Did everyone conveniently forget how Tracey had stabbed them all in the back?
So anyway, all through Biggest Loser last week everything seemed to be on the right track and we were getting so excited and then…..
They sent Coach MO home :0(
So tonight we sat down to watch Biggest Loser not really sure how things would go.
to be honest we still had hope that maybe the blue team would wake up and see Tracey for what she is and that if they had to send someone home it would be her.
All through the challenge we were rooting for the black team. Sorry Bob, we love you, but we just cannot stand Tracey.
It just seems like Vickey all over again
Does anyone else out there see the similarities?
Vickey made that whole season absolute misery
Is Tracey going to do the same this season? Isn’t she already?
Okay, so the blue team sent the black team home for the week thinking that it would give them the advantage.
So at the weigh-in the blue team went first and I must say that for the fact that the blue team was there at the Biggest Loser ranch all week their numbers were not that impressive.
Then the black team got up to get weighed. Even though they had been home all week we had great hopes for the, From what we had seen it looked like they all did pretty good. They seemed to make good choices and exercised.
Then the numbers that they were putting up weren’t very good. We started to worry that the black team would be sending someone home. Then Danny got up there and pulled off a 15 pound weight loss.
FIFTEEN POUNDS!!!
Dan only had to lose 11 pounds and the black team would be safe.
11 pounds….
We were so sure that Dan had it, that he could do this.
Then the horrifying news that Dan had gained a pound
G A I N E D!
OMG!
of all people Dan gained a pound. we couldn’t believe it. then we were worried that Dan would get sent home. He finally had a break through and might be able to finally deal with the emotional issues that got him where he was when he came on the ranch last season.
Don’t get me wrong, we like Dina too but we really would like to see Dan go to the finale.
So how does everyone else feel about Tracey? How do you like how the show has been the last couple of weeks?
Are we the only ones wanting Tracey to go home? I wouldn’t think so.
Go ahead and leave your comments and let us know what you think about Tracey and the Biggest Loser…
Later

Biggest Loser Season 8-week 4
Wednesday, October 7th, 2009Boy tonight’s Biggest Loser was really good.
What a challenge to only be there for 3 weeks and then to have to order all of your meals and not know what extra oils and salts have been added
I think that everyone did a pretty good job with their choices. I do have to wonder if the orders may have been messed up on purpose so that the contestants would learn how to deal with these things happening at home
After the preview from last week Josh & I were sure that Tracey not being able to exercise was karma for how she was last week. We thought it was terrible that MO would have to have all of this pressure, since day 1, to be able to keep them both there.
Franky, I must be honest that after how Tracey was last week we were both hoping that she would be going home. She is so much about playing the game that I just don’t think that she is learning what she needs to, and dealing with whatever it is that got her where she is, because she is so focused on ‘the game’
What about the challenge where the contestants had to hold themselves above the water like that?
Shay? WOW Girl! You did GREAT!
As contestants were dropping off into the water we couldn’t believe that Shay was doing so well. She outdid so many that weight less than she does. Shay you should be so proud of yourself!
When it got down to the last 2 teams- orange or green- it was difficult to know who to root for. Dan is a fav from last season and has definitely won a place in our heart. Shay needs to be there so for Dan to win immunity for them both would be wonderful :0)
Green team has it’s place in our heart too though. And Abby has really touched us. Having gone through so much hardship and loss of those we love, we understand the devastation that Abby has faced. We are so proud of her and how she has kept going when others would have given up.
Yehhhhh! To Dan for winning immunity for him and Shay. Hard to believe that Dan was only on for 4 weeks last time and yet he made such an impression on us and so many others. We are happy that he will be on longer this time and we hope that he will continue to the finals :0)
I have so much more to say but it is late and I have work tomorrow so I will have to stop for now. More later :0)
