Lose Weight & Get Healthy

Saturday, June 20th, 2009

If you need to lose weight and you have health problems then you might want to read this through to the end.

For anyone that is over-weight. and cannot move around a lot due to being so over-weight or due to health problems from their weight:

If you think that you can’t exercise- You CAN!

Even very sick people or elderly people should be able to do this.

You should check with your doctor to be on the safe side since your doctor knows your health concerns.

I am going to be telling you about 2 ways that you should be able to exercise to help you to get healthier and strengthen your muscles. I will tell you one way today and bring you the other method sometime this weekend.

Neither one of these is difficult nor is there any impact like if you are walking, running or weight training. You can do one of these exercises anywhere. Yes ANYWHERE!

It is also completely free. You can start this as soon as you read this and you can do it while watching tv, driving, at work, and people won’t even know that you are exercising.

What is this exercise?

It is called Isometric exercise.

Many of you are probably saying, “IS-O-WHAT?”

Isometric exercising is just simply tightening a muscle and holding it for

Isometrics are just “muscle” movements. This places the stress entirely on the muscle fibers. Done carefully and often, isometric (non-movement) exercises can help you to strengthen your muscles around the joints and reduce the wear and tear on them that you get with conventional exercising.

1) To start off you can just tighten your arm muscles and hold for 10 seconds. Release and relax for 10 seconds. Breathe deeply throughout. Repeats four more times and then do the other arm.

See how easy that was?

2) Tighten your chest muscles and hold for 10 seconds. Release and relax for 10 seconds. Repeat 4 more times

3) Tighten your stomach muscles and hold for 10 seconds. . Release and relax for 10 seconds. Repeat 4 more times

4) Tighten your leg and buttock muscles and hold for 10 seconds. . Release and relax for 10 seconds. Repeat 4 more times

This is one set. When you are finished with these you can repeat the whole set again. Start off small with one or two sets once or twice a week if you are in very bad health or very obese. If you are a bit healthier you can do one or two sets each day or even twice a day.

Now, if you are at home in front of the tv and you don’t have to worry about someone seeing you exercise you can also do these extra exercises for your chest , biceps and triceps.

Isometric Hand Press Exercise

While sitting upright in your chair you simply grasp your hands together in front of your chest, and firmly press them together. Make sure that you continue to breathe throughout the exercise. You should hold for 10 seconds and then relax for 10 seconds. Repeat this exercise four more times.

Another one that I like to do is what I call the

Bear Hug Exercise

Hold my arms in front of me and then bring them to the opposite side as if I am going to give myself a hug. Keeping the muscles tight I alternate with right arm above the left and then left above the right. Do this for 10 ’hugs’ Relax for 10 seconds and then repeat 4 more times

This will firm up the arms and chest (triceps, biceps and pectoral muscles). These WORK!

I believe that wearing a bra could be part of why breast cancer is so high. The pressure against the lymph glands stops them from doing their job properly- which is to cleanse the lymph fluid getting toxins out of your system.

So, I don’t wear a bra- even though I have large breasts. My Mom and a friend of mine always joked that I got enough for 2 people- course that was probably because my Mom was small breasted and my friend wears a smaller bra size than I do.

Anyway, without wearing a bra most people would have their breasts hanging down to their stomach. Mine don’t. I simply do these exercises at least once every week or so. My friend and her mother actually asked me why my breasts don’t hang down since I don’t wear a bra.

I believe that the only reason that they don’t is from these 2 exercises listed above. I also do the isometric exercises for the stomach, legs and buttocks. If these exercises work this well using them once every week or so, just imagine how well they can work if you do them more often. And they are not hard to do. There should be no gasping for air, no stress on the joints. Just be sure not to over do it when you first start as your muscles may feel sore since these are so easy you might not realize just how powerful they really are.

You should be able to go ahead and get started if you are in good health. If not, then please check with your doctor first but since there is no cost involved this is a great exercise that anyone can do. It is easy, simple, free and effective.

You might not lose a bunch of weight fast like they do on the Biggest Loser tv show by doing these but these are a simple way to start getting in better shape or as a way to exercise on days that you just don’t have time to get to the gym.

These may be little but they are MIGHTY! :0)

Like these simple exercises? Just wait until you find out what the other type of exercise is and how easy and FUN it can be :0)

Biggest Loser Trainer Called “Fat” What is the World Coming to?

Monday, June 1st, 2009

Last night I was tired when I posted about someone calling Jillian fat. Today I would like to talk a bit more about that incident.

But first-

Like many of you, I have been skinny and I have been fat and everywhere in between in my life. I was a little chubby when I was little. Back then they called it ‘baby fat’. When I hit my pre-teens I lost my ‘baby fat’ and was a normal weight for a time. Then I hit my teens and started to want to look like the models and famous actresses that were so thin.

I started to diet and exercise. I ate 1 sandwich a day with 1 slice of meat and 2 pieces of bread. I found out that dill pickles only have 5 calories each so I ate LOTS of dill pickles.

I exercised almost constantly when I was home.

When I was on the phone- I exercised.

When I watched tv- I exercised.

I lost weight. I got skinny.

And yet I still wasn’t happy and thought that I needed to lose more. My Mom was only 5 foot 2 inches tall and I am 5 foot 8 inches tall. Yet I lost enough weight that I could wear my Mom’s clothes. My bones stuck out and sitting was no longer comfortable so I kept moving more.

I didn’t know it then but I found out years later that my Mom was worried about me.

Back then we didn’t know about anorexia and bulemia like we do now.

Part of the problem that started that whole ball rolling was that the boyfriend that I had at that time told me I was fat. He continued to do so until my bones stuck out so bad that he couldn’t stand to have me sit on his lap.

When he complained about my bones sticking out then I realized that I was too thin.

Luckily I was able to start eating more normal and after a time I was back to being a normal weight and was fairly happy and healthy.

I was always the thin one of most of my friends- even at my normal weight. Who would have guessed that I would one day be ‘fat’?

I was in my early 20’s when I fell hard on cement and damaged my knee caps severely. I didn’t think that I would even be able to stand and for a long time just walking was a chore and very painful.

I iced my knees and did my exercises that they knee specialist recommended. Still, it took a long time for them to heal where I could walk without aid.

I believed for a long time that I would never run or dance again. I felt that I would be lucky if I was able to just walk normal again.

During that time I started gaining weight. I wasn’t able to move around much and when I did it was very difficult and painful. I became depressed. So I ate.

Eating was something that I COULD do without any problem.

I became chunky again but this time it wasn’t ‘baby fat’. I didn’t like it but there were people a lot bigger than me so I convinced myself that I was ok.

Then one day we went out to eat at a local fast food restaurant. I didn’t have a lot of food, just a sandwich, French fries and a drink. Yet I remember a young guy mooing at me. Seriously he mooed. And there were even at that time people a LOT bigger than I was. I don’t understand why he picked me to do that to but I was horrified, I was embarrassed beyond belief.

After that I didn’t want to go anywhere for a long time. I seldom left the house and I started wearing black all the time.

I had read that black is slimming and I thought that it would help me to look thinner.

It also was easier to color co-ordinate my clothes.

So this was my life for a time.

Then I had my son. He was 2 months premature. I had spent weeks in bed at home because of spotting and after suffering 2 miscarriages I did not want to lose my baby and would do whatever necessary to be sure that he would be ok.

At Christmastime I was finally able to get up and about a little bit. I still had to be careful but I managed to go in the stores a couple of times to pick out Christmas gifts.

Then in January I started leaking amniotic fluid and had to be rushed to the hospital.

That first night was HORRIBLE!!!

I was so worried about my baby and because they were concerned about emergency childbirth and the possibility of an emergency c-section they had me on this hard thing all night. It was almost impossible to get to sleep between being so uncomfortable, the worrying and the moniter they had strapped around me to keep track of my baby.

Every time I would finally doze off I would bump the wires and an alarm would go off. The nurse would have to keep coming in and fix it.

I was also hungry as I hadn’t had anything to eat all day in case they had to do emergency surgery.

We got through the night ok and managed to spend the next 6 weeks in there leaking amniotic fluid the whole time. I could get up to use the bathroom and a shower but that was it.

I went through 12 roommates while I was in there and if I hadn’t of had my son when I did I would have had roommate number 13 the day that Josh was born.

Because of how early he was he had to stay in the hospital for weeks and with all of the running back and forth I quickly lost all of the pregnancy weight that I had gained, and then some.

I wasn’t skinny but I wasn’t so overweight any more either.

Then my husband began to drink and use drugs. Domestic violence is a HORRIBLE thing and no one should have to live like that.

During this time I lost weight again. A LOT of weight and though I wasn’t skinny I was at a pretty much normal weight again for the first time in a long time but what a way to do it?!

My husband refused to admit that he had a problem and get help. I refused for Josh and I to live like that and despite all of the death threats and the fear that he actually WOULD kill us, I divorced him.

Being a single Mom is not what I had planned for in my life but we have gotten through and living as a single parent is much preferable to having the person that professed to love us refuse us food, medical care and threatening to kill us.

Luckily Josh was little but what memories he has of his father are not good ones but he is a happy, well adjusted person now and I have done my best to be both Mother and Father to him. I have also tried to put positive male role models in his life. NO NOT by dating! Make relatives and friends of the family.

Anyway, so I went through a period of time where I was of a normal weight and then…. my Mom died. My Mother was both Mother and Father to me as my Dad died in a car accident when I was a baby. I never felt that I missed out as she was always there and we were close. Mom was not only my Mother but my best friend. Losing her was one of the worst times of my life.

I became depressed. But I knew that I needed to be here for Josh and so I pushed through. I also started to eat more to shove down those emotions.

I gained weight.

Thus began a period of 10 years of losing loved one after loved one. I cannot tell you how many people we have lost in the last 10 years due to cancer, old age and accidents because to sit here and think about it would be just too depressing.

We are still dealing with the lose and pain of finding our cousin dead in a pool of blood. She had fallen down her basement stairs and hot her head on the cement floor at the bottom.

To find her like that and to lose not only our cousin but one of our best friends AND my job all at once was another one of the worst times in my life. I have gone through a LOT of bad things in my life and yet I keep going- without using alcohol or drugs as they don’t help your problems they just make things worse

From all of the stress and just the toll of living my life and pollutions and such- I ended up with 2 lung diseases and other health problems/

With all of my health problems- my back, my knees, my hands, my lungs and more- I couldn’t do all of the things that I used to do. There have been times that I could barely move.

There was another problem. Eating to shove down emotions and yet unable to move enough to burn even a portion of those calories.

I got to the heaviest weight I have even been in my life. I quit getting on the scales a long time ago because I didn’t like what I saw.

Then last year I discovered a combination of 2 things that had me losing weight so easily that I didn’t even realize that I was. I was just concentrating on getting healthy.

By the time my weight loss was brought to my attention my clothes literally hung on me. My son tells me they look like clown clothes on me.

After several months of using my method I quit it order to test it to see if I would have lasting results, or if like so many other weight loss methods the weight would come right back.

It has been over 6 months and the weight seems to be staying off.

I know now that if I would start to gain the weight back I can just use my method again.

I want to lose some more weight but for the sake of testing my method I am waiting a while longer.

But, for the first time in a long time I do not worry about my weight. I concentrate on making a better life for Josh and I and on us just being the healthiest that we can- which is why we are busy trying to enlarge our garden to try to grow most of our own food, We have chickens and are thinking of raising rabbits, turkeys and maybe some mini cattle as well as anything else that will help us to be more self sufficient.

We want to put a house roof over our trailer as it keeps wanting to leak and we have used roof coating but we have a couple of cats that like to get up there and when they do it sounds like a herd of cattle. All of that weight makes the metal buckle and get cracks. Also, I have to go up every winter and shovel snow off and with my health I will not be able to do that for too much more.

We would also like to have a greenhouse to grow food year round and a storm shelter/root cellar to store food in and to go in case of a storm as you know that trailers are not a good place to be during storms.

Anyway, sorry about getting of track there. My point was that we all tend to believe that we should be model thin. That’s not true nor is it healthy.

We should all strive to find a weight that is healthy for us and then just concern ourselves more with eating healthy and BEING healthy instead of wanting our cheek bones to stick out and to be so thin that we disappear when we turn sideways.

Calling Jillian fat is simply the mentality that so many are in anymore. We think that anyone that weighs more than the models do is overweight or ‘fat’

That’s not true and it isn’t right.

Let’s all worry more about our own business, being healthy and helping our fellow human beings.

To the person that called Jillian ‘fat’? You need to work on your image of what a woman should look like. If you think that Jillian is overweight then you have some issues you need to deal with.

You may be thin now but one day you might not be. One day you may not have your looks, your youth, health or your hair. When that happens I am sure that there will be someone just like you are now that will be quick to point it out and at that time maybe you will realize how many people you have hurt by your harsh words and inappropriate attitude toward women

You also do not know what got them overweight in the first place. It may be health reasons or some emotional one. I do not believe that most people that are overweight got there just because of laziness.

So before you put someone down because of their weight you might want to think about what got them there and how easy it might be for YOU to be where they are.

‘But for the grace of God go I’

Well, that’s enough of my rant for today :0)lol

Let us know what you think by leaving comments ( hopefully nice) and we would appreciate it is you would share our site with others so that we may grow and be able to help as many people as possible to lose weight and get healthy in addition to sharing our thoughts about the Biggest Loser – our favorite tv show :0))

5 Fat Burning Foods….

Sunday, May 24th, 2009

Okay, earlier I promised you that I would try to list 5 of the top fat burning foods and here they are.

But first I would like to say that if you are trying to lose weight filling up on fat burning foods is a great idea but you don’t have to just stick with eating fat burning foods all of the time. You can eat pretty much any food and still be able to lose weight. The key is moderation.

Individually wrapped sweets can be a good way to practice portion control. You know what I mean- the bags of little candy bars like you give out at Halloween?

As long as you make sure not to eat the whole bag and can stop at just 1 or 2 you are ok.

Maybe a way to help with this would be to keep the bag in the freezer and only take out 1 or 2 to thaw as your treat for a day or two.

Something else that might help would be to set a simple rule. When you want to have a treat you should always try to make sure that you have had a good healthy meal first. Treats are just that a TREAT they are not a meal.

Before actually having your treat you might want to always have a glass of water and make yourself wait something like 10-15 minutes.

This way you have the opportunity to see if you REALLY want the treat or if you were just thirsty.

If you simply follow these 3 rules it can help keep you from gobbling them down and not even being able to taste them.

In this way you can actually enjoy them guilt free. A simple treat once in a while is fine. So don’t beat yourself up over it.

When you deprive yourself until you can’t stand it then you are much more likely to binge on them and possibly eat thousands of calories.

You might also want to keep on hand other ‘treats’ like fruits and vegetable that are ready for snacking instead of fatty, unhealthy foods like potato chips and other fried salty snacks.

Having bags or containers of fruits and vegetables all cleaned, peeled and sliced makes them handy for grabbing when you want a snack.

Anyway, so here are the fat burning foods that I promised you.

Now remember, these are just 5 of the list of many fat burning foods that I will be listing in my ebook once it goes to the paid full version. I am giving you these 5 fat burning foods as well as complete information on exactly HOW I lost weight without dieting or exercise. If you hurry right now you can get started losing weight today without having to pay anything at all for the information.

The only reason that the e-book will be going to a paid version is simply because as a single mother I gave got to be able to pay the bills. I am sure you can understand that right?

So, grab your copy now for free just for being early bird visitors to My Biggest Loser Blog,

Here are the 5 fat burning foods:

Apples

Watermelon

Cucumbers

Radishes

Pineapple

Oh heck, here’s a couple extra free fat burning foods for you :0)

Celery

Spinach

Now, in order for these to stay Fat Burning Foods you need to eat them as close to their natural state as possible.

Raw is best as the enzymes in them will help your body to digest your foods better and assimilate the nutrition better.

You can steam or boil but the most important thing is to watch what you put ON them. Forget the salt shaker. Try to learn to enjoy the natural flavor of your food. Or, if you need to add something then try herbs and spices.

Don’t smother them in butter or other high calorie condiments

A simple low fat vanilla yogurt with fresh fruit can be a tasty treat while also helping your body to burn fat.

Try eating some raw fruits or vegetables each day. This is especially important as you get older because as we age our body’s enzyme stores aren’t as strong. We need raw natural enzymes to help to properly digest foods.

When foods are properly digested they don’t stagnate in our colon and become breeding grounds for bacteria and parasites. They don’t stick like glue to our colon walls and cause other foods to stick to them too building a thick sludge that makes it impossible for our body to get the nutrition from the food we eat and causing us to gain weight.

Did you know that Elvis, and other people who have passed on, have had as much as 50 pounds (or more) of garbage in their colon? That all shows up as extra weight on your scales every time that you get weighed.

Besides being unhealthy, I think that the thought of having food that you ate years ago still lying there inside your body is pretty disgusting. You should always be eliminating approximately the same amount as what you are eating each day.

I read once that it is important to eat raw foods daily. Now you know why. Raw foods will help keep your body’s digestive system running more smoothly

Learning to love these fat burning foods raw is not as hard as you might think.

Example: When I was a child I have fond memories of my Mom making corn on the cob. I remember the steaming hot corn all slippery with lots of melted butter and sprinkling lots of salt all over it just like my Mom did. I remember the warm tangy corn and the fabulous flavors dancing on my tongue.

Ok, are you hungry for corn on the cob now? :0)lol

Now, my son and I – once in a blue moon-do have our corn with a bit of butter on it but for the most part we have found that we enjoy the naturally sweet flavor of corn on the cob raw. Not right out of the refrigerator cold -just room temp.

Matter of fact we just had some today. We had our chickens out running around the yard and we were outside having some fresh raw corn on the cob. As we would drop a kernel the chickens would run over and squabble over the kernels.

When we would finish a section we would break it off from the rest of the cob- making sure to leave a few kernels on it and would toss it to the chickens.

Now, if you enjoy nature at all you would love to see the hilarious site of those chickens running after the corn cob. One would grab it and try carrying this big piece of corn in their beak while running with all of the others chasing them trying to get it away.

Doesn’t matter how many pieces you toss down they always do the same thing and it is just as cute and funny to watch the first time as it is the 21st.

We have more corn and if the weather cooperates maybe we will try to video tape some of this hilarity for you all to enjoy too.

Anyway, sorry for wandering off like that. My point was that even though I was brought up to like eating my corn on the cob in a basically unhealthy way (though we didn’t know that back then) I taught my son to like eating it the same exact way and yet we both now love eating our corn on the cob raw just as much (if not more) than eating it the fattening, unhealthy way.

Talk about fast food?

All you need to do is peel off the husk, remove the silks and you are ready to eat some sweet and delicious food within seconds. So, even if you think that you could NEVER like eating raw natural foods without all of that butter, salt and calories you should think again and give it a try.

The smaller kernels are sweeter. Big kernels are usually tougher and not as flavorful.

BTW, when we DO cook our corn on the cob we like to leave it in the husk and toss it in the microwave for a couple of minutes per each ear of corn. We can cook several ears of corn at a time this way and it is quick and easy. It steams the corn so it is really moist and delicious and so EASY to make.

Another way is to leave it in the husk and put it on the grill to cook through

Another example? Strawberries are on sale this week. My son and I got some and we just enjoy snacking on them in the evening just plain. We enjoy their naturally sweet goodness without adding anything. They are DELICIOUS!!!

Now, the guy that I work for likes strawberries too. BUT, he has to have them covered with splenda. I don’t mean a light sprinkle on top I am talking about COVERED with it all over through the whole bowl.

Course this man also has me put spoonful after spoonful of Splenda into pretty much everything- including spanish rice, goulash, etc. I don’t know about you but when I have a dish with meat in it I don’t want it to taste disgustingly sweet. I save sweet taste for my treats.

So, which way do you think is healthier? Enjoying the fresh natural taste of strawberries and other foods or throwing on tons of sugar, splenda, salt, butter, etc.?

Hey, I like to put condiments on food too but I try to enjoy the natural flavors of foods as much as possible because most condiments have calories and some have a LOT of calories. By eating less condiments you can enjoy a LOT more food each day for the same amount of calories

Later! :0)

Ice Cream Sandwich Torture and burning zillions of calories

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

Hey everyone- isn’t it a beautiful day out today? I am posting here and then I am heading outside to enjoy the sun, great weather and fresh air.

Course it won’t be for fun and games. There is lots of yard work and gardening to get done right now but I try to see the positive side of it all. Lots of fresh air and moving around (ie: exercise) will help me to burn off all the calories I had last night.

Was someone trying to tell me something or what? I decided that since it was hot out that it had been a long time since we had had ice cream and it sounded good.

So, we get a box of ice cream sandwiches. My son and I each have one while in the parking lot of the grocery store as it is so hot out and something cold sounds so refreshing. We figure on having the rest in the freezer to enjoy over the coming weeks of hot weather.

Little did we know that disaster was about to strike :0(

So, we get home and go to put away the ice cream sandwiches and discover, to our horror, that the freezer has quit working.

Now, this is awful as we had the chest freezer nearly

full in our efforts of stocking up for emergencies.

All of our meats, fruits, vegetables, etc. have thawed and spoiled as from the smell when we opened the door of the freezer the dang thing quit a couple of days ago- probably right after we got in there the other day.

So, not only do we have literally hundreds of dollars worth of food spoiled that we REALLY could not afford to lose- BUT we have this whole box of ice cream sandwiches that are getting softer by the minute. It’s too late to call friends and have them over so what’s a girl to do?

Yep, you guessed it- we ate the WHOLE BOX OF ICE CREAM SANDWICHES!!!

Now for someone who recently lost a lot of weight this could be a disaster as big, or bigger, than losing hundreds of dollars worth of food.

But, in my effort to try to look at the positive side of things (though I STILL haven’t seen the positive side of losing all of that food we had stocked up on) I must say that eating that many ice cream sandwiches has definitely changed the way that I feel about ice cream sandwiches.

Right now I am not sure if I will EVER enjoy eating one of them again. So, maybe that will stop me from buying them for a long time. If that doesn’t- not having a working freezer should.

So, I am now in the market for a low cost, used, freezer that runs GOOD- if you live in the thumb of Michigan and have one then please let me know.

I have also decided that maybe we will stick more with dehydrating and canning from now on. STILL, a freezer is nice for some foods and for things like ice, ice cream ice cream sandwiches….. just kidding :0)lol

Anyway, with all of the yard work that needs to be done I am not even going to worry about gaining weight from that binge last night.

I will drink LOTS of water and eat some fresh veggies.

Just a reminder: you can get my free e-book about how to easily lose weight- just look below for all of the details.

BTW, a word of advice ALWAYS make sure that your freezer is working before buying ice cream

Now I am off to try to burn a zillion calories :0)lol

More to say about the Biggest Loser Finale

Friday, May 15th, 2009

Hi, I’m back. Sorry I didn’t get back sooner but my boss had surgery and so I have had to work extra as well as finish finding homes for the last few cats that my cousin left behind when she died.
Would you like a cat? ;0)
Ok, now was anyone REALLY surprised that America chose Mike over Ron?
Was it just that they like Mike better? Was it because of Ron asking that they give his son the chance to be the 3rd finalist and that he have the opportunity to be the Biggest Loser?
After seeing how many people were voting my polls saying that they wanted Ron to go home even weeks ago I have to wonder if Mike got to be the 3rd finalist simply because people didn’t seem to take to Ron for some reason.
Anyway, I would have been happy no matter which of them got to be the 3rd finalist but I was happy that Mike be given such a great opportunity as- even though Ron has lost a lot of weight and looks good- Mike has really worked hard and it is absolutely AMAZING how much weight he has lost and how different he looks.
I loved the fact that Biggest Loser was on for 3 hours instead of the usual 2. It didn’t seem so rushed. And yet, even with a full 3 hours it didn’t seem to be enough :0)
I thought it was great that Biggest Loser had some of the winnders from previous seasons but it would have been great if we could have heard a bit more from them about how they are doing now.
They all seem to be keeping the weight off and look great!
OMG0 could you believe it when Jerry took the lead for the Biggest Loser at home $100,000 winner and kept it!?
It just floors me to think of how Jerry was so unhealthy when he came on Biggest Loser that he passed out and we were worried that he would die.
Then to see him walk out on the stage and be so skinny. He and estella both looked wonderful and they seem so happy.
We are happy for them both for their weight loss and for Jerry’s win.
Wow! Everyone- well, almost everyone- looked great and had lost so much weight.
Looking at my chart from my previous post you can see at a glance what the contestants weighed when they first started on Biggest Loser, how much they weigh now and how much weight that they lost.
It is easy to see who really tried and who didn’t try as much.
I couldn’t believe Dan when he walked on stage. He has lost so much weight and he looks great.
Keep up the great work Dan- You WILL reach your goal!!!
We saw Filipe’s dad in the audience and he looked great. It was good to see him looking so healthy after he had that stroke.
We like the fact that Kirsten, Sione and Filipe are helping others to lose weight by passing on the knowledge that they gained at the Biggest Loser ranch.
Tara also vowed to pass on the knowledge that she had gained from her tim on the Biggest Loser ranch.
There may have been others too but those are the only ones I can think of right now.
It was nice to see Carla and Joelle getting along again. They both had lost a nice amount of weight but Carla really lost a lot. She lost 128 pounds which is a whole person.
Just from what I have seen of Carla and my talks with her I believe that she will continue on her weight loss journey and will reach her goal too :0)
And wasn’t it something that the two oldest, and unhealthiest, men were the ones that were neck and neck to win the Biggest Loser at home $100,000 prize?
And that if Ron had just lost something like 5 more pounds that HE would have beat Jerry?
Then we take a look at the 3 Biggest Loser finalists…
Mike lost a total of 207 pounds while Tara lost 155 and Helen lost the least amount of the 3 with losing 140 pounds. And YET Helen was the Biggest Loser with the highest weight loss percentage.
Each one of the 3 finalists lost an entire PERSON!
And Ron lost nearly 2 whole people!
This season of Biggest Loser was wonderful. We were so happy that you could really enjoy the show without all of the backstabbing and meaneness that we witnessed last season.
I wasn’t thrilled with Ron making sure that Mike would vote in such a way as to send Kirsten home and then act like he had no control ove Mike and he would NEVER have sent Kirsten home after all he had promised her mother that he would take care of her.
Okay, I understand the love of a parent for a child and being in th same place I might even do the same. Who is to know until they themself are in such a spot?
But, after all of last season’s nastiness this was a small thing and when seeing how everyone came together to walk with Ron across the finish line during the race I think that I can overlook his sneakiness and concentrate more on the unity that hisinjury brought about between not only this season’s members but previous Biggest Loser members too.
And, for those that haven’t yet realised it – PINK Won AGAIN!!!
That is 3 times in a row that Pink has won. Hmmmm…. makes you wonder it there will be some knock down drag out fights over who will be pink this next season? :0)
Now, I am thinking of a contest to try to help some of you to lose weight that need to. I don’t have everything figured out yet but I will be working on it and I will let you know as soon as I have it ready.
Just because Biggest Loser is done for the Summer doesn’t mean we are here at My Biggest Loser Blog. Summer is the time for showing skin and for those that ar overweight it is an embarassing time.
Let’s take advantage of Biggest Loser’s hiatus and we will spend that time trying to help each other to lose weight-K?
Have some weight loss tips? Great recipes?
I am setting up a My Biggest Loser Blog community. I can’t remember right now if it is ready or not. As I said before this is all new to me and I am still figuring everything out.
I will try to find time to check it out and finish it if it isn’t already asap. Then I want for us all to post weight loss tips and recipes all summer long. Post how you are coming on losing your weight. Maybe find a weight loss buddy whereas you can urge each other on.
In the meantime, if you haven’t already, check out my free report and try using the method I explain in there. I lost 10-12 dress sizes with no dieting or exercise and have been keeping it off with no effort.
Sound unbelievable? Maybe so but, it DID happen and, I showed you pictures to prove it.
Whatever you think it does NOT cost you anything for the information and even to get started is the cheapest way you will probably ever lose weight.
Just from using my method I have seen a difference in our grocery bill that more than covers what I spent to get started. Half of my method is a one time fee of less than $20- you will NEVER need to buy this again and yet it will help you to lose weight from now on if you just use it and using it is EASY!!!
Ok, time to go as I have to work again tomorrow.
I’ll be posting more soon so please bookmark us and keep checking back.
Later! :0)

Why do some Biggest Loser contestants gain the weight back while others don’t?

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

I just read a post on another blog about the Biggest Loser. This person thinks that Biggest Loser is flawed in the way that they help people to lose weight. They believe that all former Biggest Loser contestants gain the weight back.
I KNOW differently. You see, I am in touch with many of the former contestants of Biggest Loser and I have to say that all of the former Biggest Loser contestants that I am in contact with are maintaining their weight loss.
Sure, some are having a bit more of a struggle than others but I think that some of those are people that weren’t on the Biggest Loser as long. Maybe they didn’t learn as much about how to lose the wieght and keep it off, maybe they didn’t deal with the reason why they gained the weight in the first place.
I understand that there ARE some former Biggest Loser contestants that have gained back the weight that they lost while on the show but I think that I know why that is the case- at least for some of them.
In more recent season’s of the Biggest Loser tv show we have seen that game play has become more of an issue.
Why is this?
Simply because for many of these Biggest Loser contestants that are more concerned with the game play aspect of Biggest Loser are the very people that are on the Biggest Loser tv show more for the money and the fame that can come with being a contestant.
Now, I am not saying that this is the case with ALL contestants that are involved in game play but I think that for many it is true.
I can also see that when certain people that were on Biggest Loser are there more for fame and fortune that they do not take the time to deal with the issues of why they gained all of that weight in the first place.
They do not learn the lessons of nutrition, exercise and feeding the body for energy and health rather than using the food for entertainment and stuffing down the emotions that are the reason that they got fat in the first place.
The Biggest Loser contestants that dealt with the issues that made them gain the weight are the ones that are much more likely to keep that weight off rather than to gain it back.
Maybe that might not be the case with every Biggest Loser contestant but I would say that it would cover a good percentage of former Biggest Loser contestants.
How can you manage to keep the weight off when you go right back to eating the same way and the same unhealthy food choices?
How can you keep the weight off when you haven’t dealt with the underlying reason that made you gain the weight in the first place?
How can you keep the weight off if you haven’t changed the way that you feel about food and it’s role in your life?
I say that for people that want to be on the Biggest Loser tv show just to try to win the money then they should go on a game show. Want fame and fortune? Can you sing? Dance? Have some other talent? Go on America’s Got Talent or some other reality tv show that is for becoming famous rather than one that is about losing weight.
Now, if you REALLY want to lose weight and just hope for some fame and fortune as a by product of that weight loss then that is fine as long as you can keep your mind focused on the reason you are there at the Biggest Loser ranch- to Lose Weight!
Concern yourself with rethinking how you feel about food, dealing with emotional issues that got you where you are, learn how to eat healthy and how to exercise properly so that you have the tools that you will need to lose the weight and keep it off.
But don’t go on the Biggest Loser tv show specifically for the express purpose of gaining fame and fortune from stabbing your fellow contestanst in the back and then whine later about how you went on the Biggest Loser tv show and you gained all of the weight back so it is THEIR fault not YOURS!
Did they put a gun to your head and force you to eat fatty, unhealthy foods while sitting on your butt watching tv or playing video games?
Biggest Loser is here to help people to lose weight, and they ARE doing that all over the world, but they are NOT going to be by your side day by day for the rest of your life to stop you from going back to the very habits that made you gain the weight.
It is YOUR responsibility to learn WHY you gained the weight and deal with those issues if you Honestly want to keep the weight off.
It is not easy. But losing all of that weight isn’t easy. Why go to all of that trouble if you are not wiling to change the way that you think and feel about food and WHY you gained all of that weight in the first pace?
Well that’s my rant for now :0)lol Listen, my new website is so much differnt that my My Biggest Loser Blog that I had over on Blogger. I am still learning about where everything is and how to use it. I was able to get a poll app installed and I even managed to get a few polls going but now I cannot find them!?
I thought that they would be on the side of the page but they aren’t there.
Does anyone know about wordpress blogs, the poll apps and where I can find my polls?
Help!???

One hour to go….

One hour to go….

Yes, there is but 1 hour to go until tonight’s Biggest Loser tv show is on and boy do I need my Biggest Loser fix today! :0)
Every week I watch Biggest Loser. That is MY time for me. It is the only time that I really take for myself all week but when Biggest Loser comes on I am all about watching the show and don’t even think about talking unless it is life or death.
Watching Biggest Loser makes me happy and relaxes me- well, other than all of the screaming and jumping up and down I tend to do during the weigh ins :0)lol But then at least I AM getting exercise in while I watch the show.
Anyway, there is only an hour left until tonight’s Biggest Loser show and I cannot wait! I had an extremely bad day at work today and have been so stressed out because of my boss. I am trying to let go of all of that stress and I am surer that when Biggest Loser comes on I will forget all about my boss screaming and swearing at me today for not answering the phone when answering the phone isn’t even part of my job and it only rang a couple of rings (one time) while I was in the middle of doing what IS part of my job.
I have only worked for this man for about 6 weeks and it feels like at least 6 YEARS!
Anyway, back to tonight’s Biggest Loser show – tonight we will find out who will be in the final three…..
or WILL we?
I am wondering if they will make us wait until the finale? Or have America vote again?
It is hard to tell when you are talking about Biggest Loser but then again that is all part of the wonder of it. The joy, the tears, the struggle, the drama, the suspence…
Biggest Loser has it all and, like a junkie craving their drug when life becomes difficult, I REALLY need my Biggest Loser fix tonight.
Two hours of thinking of nothing but Mike, Ron, Tara and Helen and wondering WHO will be in the finale? Who will be sent home?
What will be tonight’s challenge?
Everyone went home at the end of last week’s Biggest Loser episode. How well did they all do at home? Did they all lose weight? How much?
I a, also starting to think ahead to the Biggest Loser finale. Most of the contestants that were sent home seemed to have been doing well but I am wondering if they have all stuck with it? Who will win the $250,000? and who will win the Biggest Loser home prize of the $100,000.
They all seemed to have lost HUGE amounts of weight this season- over 1500 POUNDS! WOW!!! And no matter who wins the money I think that it is great that they have lost so much weight and learned all about getting healthy.
I have loved Biggest Loser through thick and through thin (small joke :0)lol) but to see how much they have helped these people this season that were heavier than any other contestants is fantastic. To see that so many of these people have now gone on and are passing on their new found knowledge to others to give others the opportunity to lose the weight just like they have is wonderful.
To see Ron, who has been overweight his whole life and has tried EVERYTHING (including surgery) finally lose weight and weigh now what he weighed back when he was a teenager is AMAZING! This show and people like this give hope to so many that may otherwise just give up.
To people that are overweight food is like a drug. It is unfair that so many people are mistreated simply because they are overweight. I feel that the Biggest Loser tv show is not only helping people to be able to lose weight but maybe it is also helping to teach people that aren’t overweight that they should be more understanding. It could just as easily be them in the size 26.
When I was a child I was a bit overweight. Not a lot but it was called ‘baby fat’ back then. As a teen I lost my ‘baby fat’ and was very thin-at one point I was nearly anorexic. I was eating 2 slices of bread, 1 slice of lunchmeat and lots of dill pickles every day and that was ALL that I ate for the entire day. I had found out that dill pickles had only 5 calories each so I filled up on them. Now I can barely look at a dill pickle :0)
Then, I went through domestic violence, a divorce, losing my Mom. My weight has gone from one extreme to the other.
Right now I am in a 14/16 after having used the methods I tell about in my free report which you can get by looking through my archives. Last year I was a size 26 or 28.
My weight has been a life long roller coaster for me. I love food. I have had a lot of very HARD times in my life. Times that some people would have just given up. I used food to comfort me through those hard times and to celebrate the joys.
I am doing pretty well at keeping my weight down and I may try to lose more weight at some point but right now I am still testing my weight loss yo see if it stays off without working at it. So far so good and it has been 6 months
I have also tried to switch my habit from being addicted to food to being addicted to Biggest Loser. So far I am REALLY addicted to the Biggest Loser tv show and have done well at keeping my food addiction under control.
Listen, my report is free so if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off? Grab my free report and give this a try. It has worked for me- no diet, no exercise and I haven’t even used my ‘method’ for around 6 months and have done well about not gaining the weight back.
Well, 10 minutes and Biggest Loser will be on.
I need to finish up here so that I won’t miss a single solitary second of it ;0)lol
I won’t be able to blog after the show about tonight’s Biggest Loser show as I have to get up extra early for work tomorrow. But, I will try to post tomorrow after I get home.

Collection of Biggest Loser posts for January 2009

I am so incredibly ANGRY!!!

I am so incredibly angry with Dan’s friend David! I cannot begin to describe how upset I am with David. Dan has worked his a** off trying to bring him back onto the Biggest Loser ranch and this kid goes and not only throws it up in Dans face like it is NOTHING! But he also goes and ruins it for Dan at the same time!!!!
I have not been this angry over something on Biggest Loser since the whole Vicky/Heba fiasco.
When I think of how hard Dan has worked not only for himself but he was worried about being able to bring his friend back and then when he could have made an effort to swing the vote in their favor David goes and acts like they don’t need to be there.
Then he talks big about how he’s going to lose all of this weight at home. I actually yelled at the tv “In your DREAMS!”
I was so worried about how well Dan would do at home especially with this backstabbing friend of his.
But, oh didn’t Dan look AMAZING!? He has lost over 100 pounds! I am so happy that Dan is doing as well as he is and I hope that it continues. He is putting David to shame. I wonder how their friendship is holding up to this?
If I were Dan I would be upset to work so hard for your friend for 4 weeks just to have this wonderful gift- this unbelievable opportunity just thrownback in your face?
I am SO mad at David!
If he didn’t want to be there then why did he agree to do it in the first place? Couldn’t he make an effort for his friend when he knows that Dan needed to be there on the Biggest Loser ranch?
Thank God Dan had taken to heart the information that he learned. Though his losing the 2 pound advantage for David was a waste.
Gee, can you tell that I am upset?
Ok, enough about that. I need to talk about something else as this has got my blood pressure up.
Now, Didn’t I say that I felt that Joelle might surprise us? I have been having a feeling about her. I felt that she was going to turn this around and look at what she did. She nearly won the challenge and she lost 10 pounds! WOW! I also see that she is getting along with her group now.
I think that having Carla on the Biggest Loser ranch will be a hoot! She just has that kind of a personality that she just shines and makes you smile :0)
And weren’t the high numbers that we were seeing this week AMAZING? And the girls were pulling numbers that not only rivaled the guys but for the most part outdid the guys.
Helen was so happy that at her age she was able to do so well and bring Shannon back.
Kristen was thrilled to see her mom and be able to get her mom back on the Biggest Loser ranch. She has worked so hard to bring this about and she did it :0)
And wasn’t Blaine’s son so cute? I meant the baby but the little boy was too. He was so sad to see his daddy leave that my heart went out to him.
Green team- Tara? I am pretty sure that I have her name right. I will have to check. She wanted to win the challenge so bad but I am glad that someone else got that chance since she has won the last 2 challenges.
BUT, boy was she upset over the whole David thing and I was glad that she let him have it. I was glad that she gave David something to chew on besides his fried chicken!
Yellow team- I think that the one that stayed on the ranch (sorry I can’t think of her name right this minute. I will check and put it in later) she looks so much like Brittney. Remember Brittney from season 5?
I think that she was really worried that she wouldn’t be able to stay above the yellow line and bring her partner (sister?) back. To see her sheer joy that she was able to do it was wonderful :0)
Okay, well that’s all for right now. Please leave your comments and I will try to blog more tomorrow- more about the show and about what thoughts that you have.

Have you seen the Biggest Loser preview?

Have you seen the new preview for the Biggest Loser? My son & I saw it and we are wondering if maybe Ron and Mike (the brown team) will tell everyone to put their name on the plate so that Dan can stay. :o le Jerry did.
It would explain the way that Dan says “I love you guys” as he hugs Ron.
Ron was really adamant that Dan needs to stay because he doesn’t have the support and when you look at Mike and Dan- Mike isn’t as heavy.
Ron and Mike seem to be very supportive of each other so I think that they would do well at home. Though as a fellow Michigander I must say that I would hate to see them leave and yet I really feel that Dan needs to stay. His friend will be no help at all as we have seen.
Let me know if you have seen the preview and if you think that this might be a possibility?
I will be blogging more after Biggest Loser is done tomorrow night.
I CAN’T WAIT!!! :0))

OMG! What a NIGHT!!!

Wasn’t Biggest Loser just so AMAZING? WOW!
I don’t even know where to start.
Did you hear that Jerry actually told everyone to put his name down. He knew that Dan needs to be there so much. I think that Jerry is such an amazing guy. He knew that he had come far enough and would have the support at home that he could lose the weight at home. He put Dan’s life- on the line- need to be there in order to live a full life above his own desire to be there.
This is the emotional drama that we LOVE to see on Biggest Loser. It surprises us and lifts our heart.
Kudos Jerry you are a wonderful man :0)
Now, on to tonight’s Biggest Loser tv show. I was picking each person and saying whether they had eaten anything and I was right on the money for everyone- everyone, that is, except for Joelle! WOW!!! I was so sure that she had eaten something. For the effort that we have seen from her I figured that we would see her fall to temptation- especially when the prise was to go home.
How unbelievable that I was right about which team would give us the ‘fireworks’ but boy I was so WRONG about which team member it would be to give in.
Joelle, congratulations for not giving in to temptation. I hope that this is the start of a new Joelle that will realize the life changing opportunity that is placed before her. I hope that she will grab it up and gobble it down and let it spread change for the better through-out her body and her life :0))
The challenge on Biggest Loser tonight was something to see, wasn’t it? Some of the people that I thought would do well on it were the first to finish and then there was the purple team member, Kristen. WOW! She wanted to win that challenge so bad.
Since Tara from the green team won the challenge last week I was hoping that Kristen would win tonight. She worked so hard. But, as it turned out they both are bringing their team-mate back next week.
It couldn’t have come at a better time!
Joelle just seemed like no matter what anyone said to her that she was just tuning them out and that she just wasn’t getting it.
But, maybe she got it more than she let on as she lost 6 pounds this week! I think that we will see some more fireworks when Carla comes back onto the Biggest Loser ranch.
I also think that maybe Joelle wants this more than she has let on. I get the idea that maybe she is afraid of the changes that this will bring.
We might not always like what we have (like excess weight) but it can be that the weight shields them and they are afraid of letting go of that shield and dealing with the emotional reasons that they got overweight in the first place.
Now as for the weigh in and who was sent home? I wasn’t surprised by Dan;s weight loss as they gave that away in their commercials. I am so happy for him. He needs to be there so much in order to make the changes he needs to not only lose the weight but to keep it off too.
I am concerned for his friend David. He REALLY doesn’t seem to be making an effort at all. His friend that he was having lunch with had a salad and he was scarfing down fried chicken?
Dan will have such a hard time of it if he has to go home and be around his friend when he has not made any positive changes in his eating habits does not bode well for Dan.
Dan has, along with many others this season, gotten a place in my heart. The contestants this season are so much more positive and heartwarming after all of the nasty drama we endured last season.
Even Joelle, has started to win me over. I get more and more the feeling that she wants and needs this more than what she is letting on. She may surprise many of us once Carla gets there and she puts a fire under Joelle’s butt.
I see the preview for next week and I am worried for Dan. Yes, Ron and his son Mike, need to be there and it looks like Mike will be below the yellow line with Dan this next week.
Another heart-wrenching decision for the contestants.
I like Mike and Ron and I know that they need to be there and yet Dan’s situation seems more life threatening.
Living in Michigan I want to vote for the Michigan team to stay and yet Dan….. I REALLY want Dan to stay on Biggest Loser until the very end. I want so much to see all of the contestants succeed and yet Dan is one of the ones that tugs at my heartstrings just a little bit more.
I don’t know. I think that Biggest Loser will be yet another good show this next week and yet I see many tears being shed no matter who ends up getting sent home.
What do YOU think? Leave a comment and let me know :0)
Btw, thanks for all of the great comments you have been leaving. I would like to answer them but am extremely busy right now.
.

I think that it is good that Joelle stayed in as much that her and Carla do really need to be there on the Biggest Loser ranch.
I feel bad for Damien but to see the update it seems that him and Nicolle have done an great job of losing weight. They both look great and seem so happy. We are glad for them.

Tuesday’s Biggest Loser -UPDATE!

I just found out that on Tuesday’s Biggest Loser that one of the contestants will be able to win going home to see their partner and they will take their trainer with them.
I guess fireworks will break out when the home partner accuses the Biggest Loser ranch partner of not doing everything that she can to stay on the ranch.
Notice the ‘SHE’
I may be wrong but this leads me to believe that maybe it will be Joelle going home with the trainer and that Carla is going to be MAD at how Joelle hasn’t been working her butt off at the Biggest Loser ranch and losing the weight that she could be.
Yes, I think it is entirely possible that Joelle could win this prize even though she hasn’t been doing much so far. I think that only beating the ‘oldest and the biggest’ may have made her stop and think.
Now, Biggest Loser has been showing us what the home contestants are doing so I think that they are probably showing the home contestants what their partner on the ranch is doing- or NOT doing- as the case may be.
And since Carla has been moving every time we have seen her, and Joelle is usually standing still while arguing with Bob that she is ‘working as hard as everyone else is’ , I could definitely see this scenario happening.
OOOHHHH we are gonna get to see FIREWORK’S in January! :0)LOL
Can’t wait to see the show. I think it promises to be an interesting one ;0)
What are your thoughts? Leave a comment and let me know.
I will try to get to some of your comments soon.

Oh, what a show- Biggest Loser made me laugh and made me cry…

Tonight the Biggest Loser was the best show we have seen in a while. They all are good to me but there was something special tonight. No petty backstabbing and eye-rolling. Everyone was so supportive.
We laughed so hard to see Bob so upset. Not that we like Bob being upset but it just wasn’t ‘Bob’. And then when he said at the weigh-in that he was ” ‘possessed’ by Jillian Michaels” this week was hilarious :0)LOL
Bib NEVER gets upset like that. He is always Mr. Calm, yoga and more gentle workouts. Jillian is the one that screams, gets irate and pushes her group. So to see the shoe on the other foot was a nice change of pace.
Joelle seems to have upset everyone and I think that a lot of people were hoping that she would go home.
I was sure that if it came down between her and Jerry that she would be the one to go home. BUT, all day today I have had a bad feeling that it might be Jerry or Daniel going home and my worst fears ( actually the worst fears of a LOT of people) were realized when it came down between the 2 people that needed to be on the Biggest Loser ranch the most.
Trying to decide between them was so painful. When Ron spoke up about that Dan needed to be there the worst as Jerry has been thin before but Dan never has. It had a ring of truth to it. The more I thought about it I felt that Jerry would be ok if he went home but that Dan really needs to stay.
When the contestants had to tell who they voted for there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. I had tears rolling down my face. But how wonderful to see the update for Jerry and see he has lost 84 pounds. EIGHTY -FOUR POUNDS!!! WOW!
He looks so wonderful! That made me feel so much better about him going home from the Biggest Loser ranch and it just confirms that not only can ANYONE do this at home but for all of the 9 people that were sent home last week CAN DO THIS!
How nice to see the updates with the 9 that were sent home. Boy that Carla was REALLY working out! Every single time you saw her she was MOVING!
It is too bad that she didn’t stay on the Biggest Loser ranch instead of Joelle. BUT, maybe seeing that she only came ahead of the ‘oldest’ and the ‘largest’ (her words) might be what Joelle needs to make a change and actually start working out.
And that temptation? WOW- Joelle was SO tempted, wasn’t she? Everyone else stepped back and didn’t have to even think twice about it but right down to the last second it was any one’s guess if Joelle was going to accept the temptation or stay there on the Biggest Loser ranch.
And the challenge? It was amazing to see how well some of the contestants did. I felt so bad for Jerry and Daniel being at the last and then I nearly cried when Daniel came in last and got the 1 pound disadvantage.
My son said for me not to give up that Daniel being as big as he is that he could lose enough weight that the 1 pound might not even matter.
I tried to think that but I just couldn’t shake the bad feeling that I had that it would be between Daniel and Jerry.
Boy, that Daniel is really something, isn’t he? Usually Jillian is pushing people till they cry for mercy but she was wanting Dan to hit 6.2 and he said 6.4, No 7 Miles An HOUR! And he DID IT! What an accomplishment and how proud we are of him for not only pushing himself harder than Jillian but actually hitting his goal?
You see everyone trying so hard and then you see Joelle standing around while SAYING that she was working as hard as everyone else. I feel bad for Carla. Here she is at home working her butt off and yet because Joelle isn’t putting the effort into it, Carla might not even be able to come back to the Biggest Loser ranch at all.
Through the whole Biggest Loser show tonight I laughed and I cried and when it was done I felt SO GOOD! What a refreshing change from Biggest Loser season 6-huh?
Even as bad as it was seeing Jerry go home, it was such a WONDERFUL surprise to see how well he has done at home.
AMAZING! Biggest Loser was such a breath of fresh air tonight and I must say that I absolutely LOVE the contestants on Biggest Loser this season. I am sure that they will go on to lose an amazing amount of weight. Well, that is all of them except Joelle. It remains to be seen which way she will go.
As for the home contestants? Carla seemed to be doing well but the rest of them didn’t seem to be doing as well and Daniel’s friend eating french fries and hot dogs? I don’t see him doing too well from what we have seen so far.
Hopefully he will prove me wrong. Time will tell.
Leave your comments. What did YOU think about the Biggest Loser show tonight?

Biggest Loser Tonight- Here’s some highlights…

Want to know what is going to happen tonight on the Biggest Loser tv show? In my traveling through Biggest Loser land I have come across some information about what is gong to happen on the Biggest Loser ranch tonight!
Well, the contestants are aware it’s that dreaded second week. They know that the scale is not as generous the second week and so they must put that much more effort into it if they want to be able to stay on the Biggest Losr ranch.
So this week the contestants focus on the competition. They are determined to stay in the game and get their partners back to the ranch. But, one player slacks off so much, she’s irritating everyone around her, especially her trainer. Gee, I WONDER who THAT could be???
Could it be JOELLE? I am pretty sure that it was Carla that went home and that Joelle was the one that stayed on the Biggest Loser ranch. Now, Carla was heavier and had more weight to lose and she actually seemed to exercise without all of the problems. Joelle likes to stand still and say that she is working as hard as everyone else. So, I am figuring that it is probably her that is driving everyone NUTS!
Then Allison Sweeney offers this week’s temptation. Guess what it is?
She offers thousands of dollars to anyone who wants to “cash out” of the game. Will anyone take it?
The challenge finds teams competing for immunity by paddling in kayaks to an island and then they have to race up a mountain. The first five players to cross the finish line will receive phone calls home. The last player will be given a one-pound disadvantage at this week’s weigh-in.
The weigh-in will feature some surprising numbers for week two. But two of the game’s most desperate players will fall below the yellow line. The resulting elimination will leave no one happy.
It’s a week of big wins, strong emotions, and heartache at the Biggest Loser ranch. Don’t miss it!
I for one will be glued to my tv set- amyone have any Elmer’s Glue? :0)LOL
I can’t wait for the Biggest Loser to start and to see if anyone gives in to the tempatation, who wins the challenge, who loses the most weight and who GOES HOME???
I will be back here blogging about the show when Biggest Loser gets done.
Btw, I saw Michelle on Ellen today. She looks really good and she seems so happy :0)
Did any of you catch her on Ellen?
Who do you hope stays tonight? Who do you hope goes home? Do you think that anyone will give in to the temptation?
Leave your comments and let’s see what you all are thinking.
More Later :0)

Biggest Loser twist…

Ok, it’s not some new dance :0)LOL I am talking about the fact that Biggest Loser decided to surprise us all with sending home 9 of the contestants for 30 days.
I have been all over the net and have talked to others about the curve-ball that Biggest Loser threw at us.
A lot of people are pretty upset about it.
Comments such as-
How could they break the hearts of these people
this was cruel
why call it ‘couples’ when it only has 2 couples
I am fed up
I’m not going to watch anymore
All of these are common and I would like to address them a bit.
Ok, when these people go on Biggest Loser they know that there is a distinct possibility that they won’t be on there past the first week- after all someone has to go home each week.
Cruel? I don’t think so. Disappointing, maybe. But, if you looked at the faces of these people they really didn’t seem that upset.
As for it not being couples anymore? Well there are 2 couples left on the Biggest Loser ranch right now and in 30 days there will be 5 people coming back on the show so there will be a total of 7 couples again (if I did my math correctly- I’m tired -smile) So it will actually be couples as this is just temporary.
Ok, for those that are saying “I’m fed up” and “I’m not going to watch anymore” believe me- if you could stay watching Biggest Loser through last season’s ‘Vicky’ ordeal then I think that you can stick this out. Give it a chance.
You see, other points that have been brought up and I tend to agree with are that by Biggest Loser sending home these 9 people it will help to show America (and the world) that you really CAN lose the weight at home.
Another point is that by these people going home at the beginning of the show like this that we may not see all of the alliances and game-play go on. With this twist no one knows just who to form an alliance with because no one knows who will be staying and bringing their partner back.
I don’t know, maybe you won’t agree with me but there are quite a few people out there thinking this and I can see their point.
Hey, after last season we have no where to go but UP! :0):P:
Anyway, looking forward to seeing Biggest Loser on Tuesday but not looking forward to the nasty cold weather that we have heading our way. Our furnace had trouble this morning. The air pressure switch goes pretty much every winter. It is acting up. I ordered one online for $35 but it won’t be here for a week or so and to buy one uptown is about $80. We install it ourselves.
My hours at work have been reduced to almost nothing and no job openings around here so can’t afford $80 for a part I already paid $35 for BUT this week will be full of -2 and -5 actual temperatures so we REALLY can’t go without heat-UGH!!!
Ok, enough about that but if you live in the thumb of MI and you need a housekeeper or caregiver (child or elderly)then please give me a hollar and let me know :0)
So, with all of this negative I am looking forward to getting my Biggest Loser fix on Tuesday. That should help cheer me up for at least 2 hours :0)lol
Now, if you are wanting to lose weight then please get my FREE report. This has helped me so much. I was going to sign up to lose weight so that for every pound that I would lose that Biggest Loser would donate a pound of food to people that need it. But, I have lost so much weight already that my clothes are huge, want to fall off and hang on me. Since I can’t afford new right now I am thinking that I might not sign up. Then again, from my weight loss program I continue to lose weight even though I am not actively practicing it. So, if I am going to lose weight anyway then maybe I should sign up. Even if I only lose 10 more pounds during the time period that they are doing this it would still be 10 pounds of food for people that need it.
How about you all? Are any of you signed up? Do you plan to? What kind of weight loss are you hoping for?
Let me know- Comment, Comment, Comment! :0)
And good Lord send some heat this way- we are supposed to have a HIGH of 7- YES, SEVEN DEGREES!!! on Wednesday

Good News & Bad News for Biggest Loser fans…

Michelle is ENGAGED!!!
First of all, Congratuations on your engagement Michelle! I hope that you will both be very happy.
I would recommend a long engagement however as you have only known each other 4 months. Don’t rush. Get to know each other and PLEASE get him to sign a prenup.
As someone who got married too young and my husband took my money I learned the hard way- I am just saying to Be Careful! K? :0)
If he truely loves you he will wait and if he loves YOU and not your money then a prenup should not be a problem.
You have gone through some mighty big changes in your life recently what with being on the Biggest Loser, reuniting with your mom, losing a tremendous amount of weight and winning $250,000. We want you to be happy- just be careful that’s all :0)

The bad news?
Well, the new season of Biggest Loser started last night. And today we find out that Shanon, the daughter on the pink team, has been arrested.
Yes, ARRESTED!
It seems that after a disagreement with a tenant she threw a bag of flour in his face and is now facing 3 months in jail which seems a bit much to me especially considering that she said that he tried to hit her with a pan.
Hmmm, a pan and flour- wonder what they were cooking up- TROUBLE? :0)LOL Just kidding.
Shanon may be innocent but we will have to wait and see what this means for this mother/daughter Michigan team.
Well, they say that there is no such thing as bad publicity. Biggest Loser had 11.9 million viewers watching the Biggest Loser season 6 finale. I wonder if all the publicity about Shanon will increase the number of viewers watching Biggest Loser season 7?
Now, Amy, I will have to pull out my tapes and watch but you mention about not remembering how nice the contestants were at the begining of season 6?
I will try to watch it some time yet this week but I seem to remember them all being pretty nice at the begining.
Even Vicky and Brady. I remember them winning a phone call from home and they were able to give a phone call from home to one other team. They chose Amy & Phillip Parham. Yes, the same Amy & Phillip that they were so down on later in the show. Who woulda thunk it, huh?
Anyway, it’s been a long day. I’ll blog more probably tomorrow.
Later ;0)

Due to ‘Comment’ Changes….

Due to changes made about leaving comments on nbc Biggest Loser and ivillage- which is now never-say-diet (I guess) it is pretty much impossible to leave comments now. Unless this is just a glitch and will be fixed I expect that a lot of people will be disappointed not to be able to leave a comment. Sure, it shows that you can but I spent over 45 minutes trying and finally gave up :0(
So, I would appreciate it if you like my blog if you would tell your friends. You can just email them or use the ‘tell a friend’ form below. I also would like it if you could give me suggestions about where I CAN leave a comment and link to this blog and maybe even tell how you found us.
I want to make this the BIGGEST Biggest Loser gathering this side of nbc’s site if possible. I want to bring the Biggest Loser fans together in a place where we can nicely share our thoughts and vote the polls so we all can see how Biggest Loser fans REALLY feel about the show and the contestants.
We have some new polls to the right that you can vote and at the bottom are the closed polls from season 6 of the Biggest Loser.
I also am offering Biggest Loser fans a FREE report so that you can all find out how I lost a bunch of weight easily. See ‘before’ and ‘after’ pics below and how to get your free report. Not everyone can be lucky enough to be on the Biggest Loser and we all know that people all over the planet are gaining weight. Too many people are overweight or obese. I want to share my report with you so that you can lose weight too.
NOTHING Else helped me until this and it is probably the CHEAPEST way that I have ever lost weight and it is staying off! :0)
Let’s spread the news about http://my-biggestloser-blog.blogspot.com/ all around the world like a plague- a good one though! :0)lol

Biggest Loser was really great tonight!

Wow! What an amazing start to a new Biggest Loser season.
Everyone seems really nice so far, don’t they?
It was really scary when Jerry collapsed like that. We were so happy to see him come walking back in to the Biggest Loser ranch looking so much better. And what an AMAZING weight loss for his first week? 25 pounds! Just losing that much weight made such a difference in the way that Jerry looked.
And Daniel? Wow! A 30 pound weight loss his first week is such a great start and Ron lost 42 pounds his first week?
I cannot believe the high weight loss numbers we saw on Biggest Loser tonight!
Now, how about that twist?
I KNEW when Ali said that 9 people were going home that they MUST have some way of coming back on the show. Otherwise it would put Biggest Loser too short on people and we would see an extremely short season.
When the white team was above the yellow line we were hoping that they would stay above. All I could think of is that after Jerry collapsed like that it would be so hard for them to be separated. Even though Estella needs to lose some weight it is pretty obvious that Jerry needs to be at Biggest Loser ranch a lot more.
And Ron? Having his jaw wired and surgery to make his stomach smaller and he still gained the weight back. Yet, one week on the Biggest Loser ranch and he lost 42 pounds? The most weight that anyone has EVER lost in one week.
I am sure that deciding who was to go home was a very difficult decision for these people. And look at the green team. What highs and lows- a regular roller coaster. The high of being there on Biggest Loser ranch, coming so close to winning the immunity and then coming so close to being the one team above the yellow line.
It was a great start to a new Biggest Loser season and, so far, there are no ‘Vicky’s’ in site :0)
I cannot wait to see how well the home contestants are going to do on their own and which ones of those that stayed will be able to bring back their team-mates.
For anyone that was disgusted with Biggest Loser season 6 I must say that season 7 of the Biggest Loser looks to be a better one. I would definitely recommend watching this season and giving these people a chance to win your heart

Only Half An Hour Left to go….

Only 30 minutes until Biggest Loser season 7 starts! I am so EXCITED!!!

February 2008

October 2008 December 2008

Here’s my ‘before’ and ‘after’ pics. I am embarassed to show the ‘before’pic. Not one of my prouder moments. I didn’t want my picture taken but my son wanted to take it. He asked me to smile. I did but my heart wasn’t in it. I knew I was overweight and hated having my picture taken. What we do for our kids, huh? :0)

The ‘after’ pic is much better but my face is still a little puffy due to a sinus infection but even so you can see that my double and triple chins are gone.

I do have bags under my eyes – this is from lack of sleep due to stress. But even with all of the stress I am not overeating anymore and that is a HUGE test because I have always been a ‘stress eater’. When I was stressed I would stuff my face. I don’t do that anymore just by using the simple steps that I have provided for you in my FREE report.

The october pic is when I started my ‘testing’ phase to see if the results would last. As you can see (notice that the cleft in my chin is more defined?) I have not only -NOT gained weight- but have lost even more. Which you would easily be able to see if I didn’t have this sinus infection causing my face to swell but check out the lack of double chins and you will be able to tell.
If you can’t tell from these pics you will be able to see what I am talking about in the video that I will be sharing soon Just wait until you see how huge my old pants are on me. They used to be tight and now they want to fall off.

Right about now I am wishing that I would have at least checked out my weight before I started this but I had no idea that just trying to get ‘healthy’ would be the time that it would work and I would lose all of this weight. At least I did give in and let my son take the picture in February (all pics were automatically dated by the camera) so I have that showing how overweight I was

If you are overweight then Please give this a try. I am sure that it will help you like it has me :0) You will be AMAZED at how easy this is.

My report cost you nothing and will describe step-by-step what you need to do to lose weight easily and safely without dieting or exercising. There are some great little tips that are so easy and will boost your weight loss. Please request your FREE report now and learn how you too can lose weight easily like I have.

This blog is not only so that I can blog about my FAVORITE tv show but so that I can spread the word and help others lose weight easily like me. Why starve yourself when it doesn’t work and you are miserable when you can use my easy steps to have the weight melt off? I even went through the holidays without misery and without gaining weight. Now THAT’S a Test! :0)lol

If you haven’t already done so- Please go and get my FREE report now :0)

One of my questions was chosen…

WOW! I feel so SPECIAL :0))

When asked what questions we would like to ask the winner of the Biggest Loser I came up with several questions which I specifically aimed at Michelle as I felt that Michelle would ultimately be the Biggest Loser at the finale.

Well, one of my questions was chosen and here it is:
What was the best moment for you? —Michelle
Other than winning? Well, the best moment was probably my last week on campus, being able to feel strong. Even though I was physically by myself, I knew I wasn’t alone. I knew all the support I was getting from people back home, and that’s when I needed it the most. To be able to go through that week and come out on top was a huge obstacle that I’ve overcome.

Biggest Loser Ed- I have changed my mind….

When I wrote on here Tuesday night after the Biggest Loser finale I did not know what Ed had said. If I had known then I certainly wouldn’t have said what I did.

For those of you that have no idea what I am talking about….

What Ed said about Phil:
10.) What is one thing that happened behind-the-scenes that no one would know from watching the show?
Ed: Phil is a jack-off kiss ass.

I think that a comment like this just showed that Ed is on the same level of immaturity as the other ‘children’ that were on the Biggest Loser this season.

I liked Ed, Heba and even Vicky and Brady when they first came on the show.

Ed and Heba seemed so friendly and I remember Vicky and Brady giving the extra phone call to Phil and Amy. I was hoping that they would choose Phil and Amy as I thought that with them having an autistic child it would be good not only for them but for their son.

Then, when Ed got sent home it seemed that Heba started to change. Maybe being there on the Biggest Loser ranch ‘alone’ was hard for her and she didn’t handle it well. I don’t know. But it was at this point that I started to notice differences and my opinion of Heba, Vicky and Brady started to change.

That is also when we seemed to notice more and more that Vicky was rolling her yes and making comments. The further into the Biggest Loser season that we got the worse Vicky and Heba’s behaviour became- especially Vicky but Heba had her moments too.

When Ed came back on to the Biggest Loser ranch then it seemed that Heba calmed back down but the damage to our opinion of her had already been done.

Now, I didn’t like how Ed had the opportunity to send Vicky home but kept up the alliance but I knew that he didn’t know what all had gone on after he had left the Biggest Loser ranch so I let it slide.

I understand that Ed only knows what Heba and Vicky told him about what transpired after he had left the Biggest Loser ranch. So, I have tried to be open minded about certain behaviours and how Ed voted after he came back on the Biggest Loser ranch.

But, this comment that Ed made is just too much.

The way that I see it, I don’t believe that Phil said what Brady and Vicky accused him of.

As you remember we saw Vicky and Brady go in to Heba’s room at the Biggest Loser ranch and tell her that Phil said some bad things about her.

We never saw Phil actually say anything.

Knowing what game players Vicky and Brady were I would tend to believe that they took whatever Phil might have said (if he said anything to Brady at all) and blew it all out of proportion in order to turn Heba against Phil and get her even more solidly on their side.

From then on Heba gobbled up every negative tidbit that Vicky fed her.

So I can understand, up to a point, that Ed might be happy with Phil once Heba had told him her version of what all happened on the Biggest Loser ranch after he went home.

BUT, I think that Ed’s comment was just going too far.

When Ed was interviewed and said that Phil was (and I quote) a jack-off kiss ass- what was the point to that?

So Ed, this is what I think-Considering that you had already left the biggest Loser ranch to go home and would only have to see Phil for a short time for the Biggest Loser finale I would think that you could have been an adult about the whole thing. This comment was just childish and lowered everyones opinion of you. Of Vicky, Brady, Heba and you- I always thought that you stayed a notch above that whole mess but looks like you slipped in the slop and got mud on your face too.

Let me know what you think about what Ed said. Vote the polls to the left and leave comments here. Thanks! :0)

OMG! Michelle WON the Biggest Loser- Y E S!!!

Oh My GAWD! I am so HAAAPPPPPYYYY!
Congratulations Michelle! We knew you could do this and we are SO Proud of YOU!
When Ed came on and had lost so much weight I was a little concerned. Not that I would have minded Ed winning so much as that I just REALLY wanted Michelle to win :0))
Oh, I am so overwhelmed with so much I want to say that I can’t think straight :0)lol
When Vicky got up there on the Biggest Loser scale I just KNEW in my heart that she didn’t get it. She lost to Ed by 1 pound
ONE POUND!
You know that that had to hurt.
Then Michelle got up there on that Biggest Loser scale for the last time and I turned to my son and I said-which I had been telling him all along but I KNEW with a certainty in that moment- “Michelle has got this. She’s won”
I told my son that he had better get ready and cover his ears :0)
Michelle got weighed and I screamed and screamed with joy for her. I am so happy that she won the Biggest Loser. She is so deserving of this
She looked so good and so happy. I was really glad to see that her and Renee are still close.
Michelle is very lucky. She has a mother and father that love her very much, she’s lost the weight and won the Biggest Loser $250,000
Who wouldn’t want to be in her shoes right now? :0)
Michelle worked really hard and all of her hard work paid off.
I think that Ed did really well too. I have to admit that my son and I felt a bit sorry for him when they were showing all of the food being passed in front of his nose and him having to cook food and still lose weight? Oh, the torture! :0)
But, considering everything he did pretty good and lost quite a bit. He actually lost more weight than I would have expected.
As for Vicky? She lost quite a bit of weight but I think that her coming so close and then losing being the Biggest Loser when she wanted it so much was karma coming up and biting her in the butt.
Speaking of karma… did you notice that the only 2 women that slipped and almost fell were Vicky and Heba?
I must say that when we saw Heba we were so glad that we had voted for Ed rather than Heba because I have to wonder if Heba might have won the Biggest Loser. I haven’t checked the numbers yet but I will let you know when I do.
From being the biggest woman on the Biggest Loser ranch Heba had lost an awful lot of weight. She looked really good and seemed to be nicer like she was when she first came on the Biggest Loser tv show.
I thought that the weigh in for the Biggest Loser $100,000 prize was even more dramatic than the weigh in for the Biggest Loser $250,000 prize.
We saw some absolutely AMAZING weight loss results for everyone on the Biggest Loser finale tonight and I have a lot more that I want to say about this but I am really tired so that’s it for tonight. I will be blogging more about this probably tomorrow night.

The Biggest Loser finale is tomorrow night!!!

Yes, the Biggest Loser finale is tomorrow night and I am getting very excited about it. I cannot wait to see who wins the Biggest Loser grand prize of $250,000
I expect it to be Michelle :0) She has shown consistently high weight loss numbers. I also know that she has been exercising since leaving the Biggest Loser ranch.
Now Vicky is another matter. Like many of you, I really don’t want her to win. But I don’t think that she has a good chance at doing so. Even with all of the extra exercise time that the Biggest Loser tv show portrayed her as putting in, Vicky still did not have big weight loss numbers as consistantly as Michelle did
Then you add to that the fact that Vicky broke her ankle and has been on crutches for a big portion of the time since she left the Biggest Loser ranch and I just don’t see Vicky winning.
Maybe that’s wishful thinking? I don’t know but I am praying that the person that wins that much money actually deserves it and Michelle definitely deserves to win and be the Biggest Loser.
I know Vicky has been talking about not wanting to, but probably needing to, wear a boot for the Biggest Loser finale. So, I think that karma will be taking care of making sure that Vicky will not be the Biggest Loser.
As for Ed and Heba? I really liked them when they first came on but I have chnaged my mind after seeing how Heba acted while Ed was off the Biggest Lose ranch.
O also think that it was selfish of Heba to be asking us to vote for her instead of Ed. I thought that his request was unselfish up until Heba asked us to vote for her. Then it just seemed to take away from the sacrifice that I thought that Ed had been making.
Add to that the fact that if Heba loved Ed you would think that she would have been asking us to vote for him.
I am totally disallusioned and disgusted by both of them at this point.
Btw, notice to the right that we now offer Jillian’s weight loss program. I am pretty excited that we were accepted and can now offer you this.
This blog is not just about the Biggest Loser tv show but also to help those people that want to lose weight so that they can achieve their weight loss goals

Which Biggest Loser home contestants will win?

The poll results for the question asking which Biggest Loser home contestant do you think will win the results are all over the board. But, the majority of votes have been between these three Biggest Loser contestants that have been sent home to finish their weight loss journey:
Coleen 30%
Renee 25%
Amy C 27%

As you can see it is a very close call between these three. But, even though the rest of the Biggest Loser home contestants do not have the votes on our poll does not mean that they are out of the running.

Jerry-
We know that Coleen’s dad Jerry, when he left the Biggest Loser ranch, went on to lose an amazing amount of weight.

When Coleen and Jerry decided for him to be the one to leave the Biggest Loser ranch we were very concerned. Jerry had a lot of health problems while he was at the Biggest Loser ranch with all of the doctors and everyone there to help him lose weight. Considering how precarious his health was while under doctors care we were worried about how well he would do trying to lose the weight at home without all of the supervision that he had at Biggest Loser.

But, when they gave his update we were pleasantly surprised to see that not only had he lost a lot of weight but he had also been able to get rid of some of the health problems that he had been suffering with at the Biggest Loser ranch.

Tom- Lt’s dad & Adam- Stacey’s husband
I see that no one has voted has voted for either one of these contestants. But no votes in the poll does not mean that they can be discounted. They may surprise us all when we see them on the Biggest Loser finale on Tuesday night.

Stacey-
When Biggest Loser voted off contestants came back for the chance to be able to come back on the Biggest Loser ranch Stacey had lost a lot of weight. She looked great and she surprised us all with her determination to win the challenge even though she had already said that she didn’t know if she even wanted to come back on the Biggest Loser ranch at all with how things had changed.

I got to say that if Stacy can put her heart and soul into winning a challenge when she is not even certain that she wants to win the prize then how determined will she be when she actually does want to win the prize and we all have to know that she will want to win the Biggest Loser $100,000 home contest.

Shellay-
Shellay had lost a lot of weight when she came back for the challenge. Since then she has seemed to be in hiding. I say this because- unlike her daughter Amy- we haven’t seen her on tv shows, nor have there been any more recent photos of her that might give away how she is doing on her weight loss journey. Is this strategy? or just coincidence?

Phillip and his wife Amy-
Amy has only 3% of the poll votes but I can tell you that I know that Amy P has lost an amazing amount of weight. You would hardly recognize her from her pictures and that was from a few weeks ago so how much more has she lost? Hmmm…

Phillip has 9% of the votes and seems to be pretty determined. I could see him winning the Biggest Loser home contest just to spite Vicky, Brady, Heba & Ed.

Now it is time to debate about those top three Biggest Loser home contestants :0)

Renee-

Renee is right smack dab in the middle at 25%. She was on the Biggest Loser ranch the longest out of these three people. Being on the Biggest Loser ranch the longest she had Jillian pushing her as well as the time to learn the most about proper nutrition and exercise. This could possibly give her an edge. It is hard to say for sure as she too has kept out of the limelight. I have not heard anything nor have I seen any recent pictures that might give us a clue.

Amy C-
Amy Cremen was on the Biggest Loser ranch longer than Coleen but less time than Renee. Yet her poll results are higher than Renee’s and less than Coleen’s. I have seen Amy on the Today show and have seen recent pictures of her. She was down to a size 6 last I knew.

Amy Cremen herself has said that she feels that the Biggest Loser home contest will be between her and Phillip’s wife Amy P.

Coleen-
Coleen was on the Biggest Loser ranch for the shortest time of these three but she seemed to lose pretty consistently if not always huge numbers. From her pictures I know that Coleen has lost a lot of weight.

Why do we vote the Biggest Loser contestants that we do? Looking at the poll votes I think that it looks like we all seem to vote more for the contestants that were on the biggest Loser ranch the longest.

Why is this? Is it because we see how well they are doing so we have more confidence in their weight loss abilities

Or, is it just because we get to know them the most and so we get attached to them and just HOPE that they will win?

I don’t know why exactly we tend to vote more for those Biggest Loser contestants that were on there the longest but I tend to think that it is more about getting attached to certain Biggest Loser contestants.

Personally, I like pretty much all of the Biggest Loser home contestants. I am friends with most of them and would find it very difficult to choose between them. The only one that I can think of that I would really rather not see win the Biggest Loser home contest would be Brady as he was part of that whole Vicky/Heba/Brady drama.

Just as I would rather not see Vicky or Heba win but mostly Vicky. I just can’t get past everything that we have seen and heard both on the show and her awful story about the maggots in the sink. I asked that anyone that Knows Vicky and says that she is nice to comment and convince me. No one has.

I really like Coleen, Jerry, Renee, Amy Cremen, Stacey, Lt, Amy P and Phillip.
Amy Cremen is the Biggest Loser contestant that was making a dream of mine come true.
Amy had asked me to make her a shawl that she was to use when she went to the Biggest Loser finale. I was so excited. But, due to circumstances beyond my control she will not be wearing the shawl at to the finale after all.

The first problem came in that the colors that Amy wanted, though they weren’t anything elaborate, were very hard to find.

Our local Walmart had just gotten rid of most of their yarn and crafts. I spent 5 hours on one day alone calling pretty much every store in the thumb of Michigan trying to find the yarn that I needed for Amy’s shawl but to no avail.

I spent hours every day for 5 days searching internet sites and calling their stores to confirm availability of the yarn.

No such luck.

Finally 6 desperate days of searching later we were able to go to Port Huron with friends, which is a 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive from our place under normal driving conditions.

This was not a normal day. I had something uptown the night before that made me sick. I was sicker than a dog all night the night before.

Knowing that I had to have this yarn so that I could fulfill my dream I pushed myself and went anyway.

We were supposed to get snow that day but it was only supposed to be a few inches and was not supposed to happen until that evening.

WRONG!

While we were in Port Huron that day it started snowing and the roads became very slick. It was on the way home that trouble struck. We were in an accident.I was the only one to get hurt- thank God! :0) Not that I am happy that I was hurt but it could have been much worse and I am thankful that it wasn’t

I hurt my back, got whiplash and hit my head on the window. I have been in pain all week and yet I have pushed myself to get the shawl done.

It is BEAUTIFUL! :0)

But, I am very disappointed that because of all of these things and that (for some reason) Amy was not getting my emails and so I was unable to get the shawl to her in time as she left for LA on Friday.

It is very hard to go from the highest of highs of seeing a dream come true to having my hopes dashed. Yes, Amy still wants the shawl so that is good. But, I had built this up in my mind that Amy would wear the shawl to the Biggest Loser finale and someone would see it and that my other dream of having my creations in a boutique would come true.

I suppose that this dream could still happen but right now I feel that this was my one shot and that fate conspired to keep me from it.

Some might say that it wasn’t meant to be then. But, when you come so close to having your dream fulfilled just to have the rug yanked out from under your feet it is hard to stand back and just say “Oh well, it wasn’t meant to be”

Anyway, that’s all for now. I will update later with some pictures of the shawl but I feel that it is only right to wait until Amy has seen the shawl before everyone else sees it.

Biggest Loser season finale is just days away….

It won’t be long and it will be Tuesday night and as Biggest Loser fans we will be sitting in front of our tv to watch this season’s Biggest Loser finale.
All of the contestants are already in LA. Three of the big questions that are on the mind of every Biggest Loser fan are:
1. Who will be the Biggest Loser 3rd finalist?
2. Who will be the Biggest Loser home $100,000 winner?
3. Who will be the Biggest Loser ranch $250,000 winner?
If our polls are any indication it looks like
Ed should be the 3rd finalist
the home contestant winner looks to be a close call between Amy C, Coleen and Renee. As of this writing it looks like Coleen is slightly ahead.
Will Coleen be the Biggest Loser winner? Possibly.
Will Amy C. be the Biggest Loser home contestant winner?
Will it be Renee?
Or maybe one of the other contestants will surprise us and be the Biggest Loser home contestant winner.
Now, the BIG question- Who will be the Biggest Loser $250,000 winner?
Our poll indicates a HUGE lead showing Michelle to be the predicted winner.
Come Tuesday night’s Biggest Loser season finale we will find out the answers to the questions and we will be able to see how good you all were at predicting the winners when answering our polls.
This should definitely be interesting :0)
Like most of you we will be hoping and praying that Michelle will win the Biggest Loser and take home the $250,000. She has shown nothing but class all the while working through some very emotional issues with her mother Renee and has worked so hard at losing the weight while changing her life.
No matter what happens on the Biggest Loser finale Michelle is a winner with us :0)
It is late and I am tired. I will blog more tomorrow and maybe touch more on which home contestant we hope will win the Biggest Loser $100,000

Vicky is Actually a Nice Person….

WHAT????
Ok, I’m not saying that she is. But, SOMEONE has voted that she is in our poll to the right.

So, I am wondering if that person visits again- could you please leave a comment? Let us know if you actually do know Vicky and for how long. Tell us why you think that Vicky is actually a nice person.

I have watched the Biggest Loser from the beginning and there has never been a contestant that I did not like as much as I do not like Vicky this season. Or rather, I don’t like her behaviour.

I have tried to remain as impartial as possible and to give her the benefit of the doubt. Her behaviour has created a lot of anger in a lot of people and I must say that I have been one of them. Though I won’t go to the extreme that many other Biggest Loser fans have by sending Vicky hate mail and harassing her over the phone.

I don’t wish her dead- though, from what I am seeing and hearing out there, there are people who do feel that way.

I am mainly upset that she has treated the other contestants the way that she has and I am concerned about the values that she may be teaching her children.

Now I understand that Biggest Loser is a tv show and it is a game and the possibility does exist that Biggest Loser could be biased.

BUT, as I have said before, I don’t believe that Biggest Loser made Vicky say those things or act that way.

Sure, Biggest Loser may have taken advantage and concentrated more on Vicky’s bad behaviour in order to boost ratings. But the fact remains that even if all of the awful things that we have seen and heard were condensed down from 1 weeks worth of bad behaviour it still seems pretty bad.

I think what bothered me the most was when Vicky said that the prize wasn’t worth the effort of the challenge when the prize was the opportunity to see videos from home…. videos of her own children.

As a mother I cannot fathom being away from my son for 2 months and then when given the opportunity to see him and hear his voice say “No, it’s not worth it”

I can understand wanting to win the Biggest Loser and win the money but I do not believe that I would make un-sportsman-like comments when others are getting weighed and all of the other things that we have seen Vicky do this season.

I am trying to remain open minded, so please- if you actually know Vicky and she is nice then leave a comment and explain. Try to convince me :0)

Ed’s love for his wife may be his undoing….

Thinking about last night’s Biggest Loser show I have been mulling over this scenario:

What if Ed hadn’t thrown the weigh in for his wife?

Then it would have been Heba and Vicky below the yellow line. Considering how everyone feels about Vicky I have no doubts that it would have been Heba as the 3rd finalist. Vicky would have gotten her walking papers- so to speak- at the finale.

Ohhh, the glory of it!

This would have given Ed and Heba 2 chances at the $250,000 instead of just one. Not a good move you two. You just threw away a second chance like it was nothing.

But, this could work out even better when you think it through.

Imagine this: Vicky is so smug because she knows that she is one of the finalists. She is so sure, in her mind, that she has this won. I can see her smirk now….

Now imagine her amazement when she doesn’t win after being so close to the brass ring.

She will be so mad! I could see her having a temper tantrum, like a 2 year old, right there on national tv.

What goes around comes around and I would think that for her to be at the finale and then lose would be even more painful for her than to not even be one of the final 3. So close and yet so far :0)

With Vicky’s broken ankle she won’t be able to exercise as much. Even though she is no longer on crutches she still has to wear a boot. We have less than a week till the finale. Do you really think that she has been able to work out for hours a day with a broken ankle and while on crutches?

I wouldn’t think so.

Here are the remaining four contestant’s current percentages of weight loss:
Michelle 33.06%
Vicky 30.89%
Heba 28.57%
Ed 24.78%
Looking at the weight loss percentages, Michelle’s percentage is much higher than Vicky with Heba coming in 3rd and Ed coming in last at less than 25 percent to Michelle’s over 33 percent weight loss.

If Ed is the 3rd finalist do you really think he can beat Michelle’s consistently high numbers? I don’t believe so. I think that Michelle has this. Now it could be wishful thinking but I really feel good about Michelle winning the Biggest Loser $250,000.

Now, did you notice how Michelle hugged Vicky when she got off of the scale but absolutely no blue team members said anything encouraging when Michelle got weighed?

Jillian was the only person there to congratulate Michelle for the great job she did.

I also didn’t like the whole jumping on the bed scene by the blue team. I know that they have been behaving like 2 year olds but do they really have to jump on the beds like 2 year olds at their age and size?

Usually I cry and get all sad when the members go home before the finale. It is like saying goodbye to good friends. But last night I only felt sadness about not seeing Michelle every week. I will not miss the drama of the blue team and I most certainly will not miss Vicky’s bad attitude, rolling eyes and foul mouth.

Figuring that good wins out over evil and what goes around comes around- I have to wonder if fate (God, or whatever) is conspiring to keep Vicky from winning the money after her atrocious behaviour.
What do you think? Let me know.

Things didn’t go Quite the way we’d hoped….

Well, we watched the Biggest Loser tonight in hopes that Michelle would do well and we would be given the opportunity to vote to send Vicky home.

Thankfully Michelle did very well and we are so happy that she will be going to the finale. She lost an amazing 9 pounds! WOW!

Great job Michelle. We are rooting for you to win the Biggest Loser $250,000

Now, as for being able to send Vicky home as you all know that isn’t going to happen. But, I have heard that Vicky broke her ankle so, for those of us that really don’t want Vicky to win the Biggest Loser, this could help keep Vicky from winning.

As far as who we should vote for-Ed or Heba?

My son and I have debating the pros and cons of both.

-Ed has been under the yellow line, on average, once every three weeks since they have been at the Biggest Loser ranch.

-Heba has lost pretty consistant big numbers

-Even Bob said that Ed gaining 2 lbs was gameplay. If Ed and Heba both want for Heba to be the one to go to the Biggest Loser finale as one of the contestants in line for winning the $250,000 then we are of the mind that we should give them the exact opposite of what they want.

- Ed didn’t lose big numbers while on the Biggest Loser ranch and since he had to have emergency surgery to repair a hernia I think that this will slow him down even more.

- Just because Heba and Ed both want Heba to be the 3rd finalist I am inclined to not give Heba what she wants :0)LOL

- Since Ed so unselfishly was willing to give up his opportunity to be the Biggest Loser to his wife I am inclined to think better of him than Heba after the way that she has been acting on the show

Trying to take all of that into consideration, we are voting to keep Ed as the 3rd finalist. If you have a different take on this then please leave a comment and let us know.

We have until Monday to vote but we want to be sure that we don’t miss out so we think everyone should have their vote in by Sunday night to be on the safe side.

Not sure where to vote?
Here is the link -Vote for the 3rd Biggest Loser finalist
You can vote up to 10 times

How about that box that Ali brought in for them to open? Before they opened it my son said “Maybe it’s a box to ship Vicky home”
I loved that! :0)LOL
While tonight didn’t have the exact ending we have all been hoping for it still was pretty good.
Most of us have been hoping that Michelle would go to the finale and win it. Well, she is definitely one of the 3 finalists. That is so great!
Yes, our worst nightmare has come true- Vicky is one of the Biggest Loser final 3. BUT, with a broken ankle it should put her at a disadvantage.
I just found out that Vicky is off the crutches and wearing a boot. With 1 week to go to the finale I would think that chances are good that Vicky’s ankle might actually be her Achilles heel

Could Tonight be THE Night???

Hi All,
Sorry that I haven’t been blogging as much recently. I was in an accident and have been in a lot of pain.

I am also working on something for one of the Biggest Loser contestants (which I am keeping secret until the 16th- after the Biggest Loser finale show for season 6). I am very excited to be given such an opportunity. I want to thank this contestant for making one of my dreams come true :0)

Anyway, I thought that the video about Vicky was hilarious. After everything that she has said and done it was good to have the opportunity to just laugh and release some of the frustration I have been feeling about how Vicky has been treating the other Biggest Loser contestants.

I cannot believe the awful things that she has been saying about the Biggest Loser and the fact that week after week we have all been watching in hopes of finally seeing Vicky sent home only to have to endure another week with her being on the Biggest Loser tv show. I can only hope that tonight is the night that Vicky gets her comeuppance.

I hope that you all got a bit of a chuckle out of the video too.

Well, tonight is THE night!!!

America gets to vote :0)YEAH!

I cannot wait to see what happens on the Biggest Loser tonight. Whatever the outcome I am hoping that we finally see the end to Vicky’s nastiness bu her being sent home. And I am also hoping that whatever the scale shows tonight that Michelle will be one of the final 3 and will ultimately be the Biggest Loser! :0)

She deserves it.

I’ll be blogging more tonight after the Biggest Loser gets done. In the meantime I have everything crossed that I possibly can- makes it hard to type :0)LOL – that Vicky goes home. I would hate to see her win the Biggest Loser and get all of that money after her atrocious behaviour.

After her bad sportsmanlike behaviour and bad attitude I would hate to see her be rewarded and be put before America as a role model for us all-UGH!

Let me know what you thought about the video, your hopes for tonight’s show and the Biggest Loser finale. I appreciate your comments as long as they are clean and nice
Till Later-TTFN :0)

P.S.: Don’t forget to vote the polls on the right. I have moved the ended ones to the bottom so you can still see them but they aren’t mixed in with the active ones.
