Biggest Loser Season 13 Finale

Saturday, May 5th, 2012

As I am sure that you have figured out by now- I love the Biggest Loser. But, I will say that the season 13 finale of Biggest Loser being only 1 hour was somewhat of a disappointment.

Biggest loser being only 1 hour was far too little time for the finale. The whole show just seemed so rushed. I felt like we couldn’t even have a moment to celebrate in the wonderful weight loss goals met by so many of the contestants.

Trying to jot down notes and everyone’s weight, weight loss and percentage lost was nearly impossible as we skipped from one contestant to another with barely enough time to take a breath

And, Sam and Stephanie Poueu were there in the audience. It would have been nice to have heard a few words from them or about them, to find out how Sam is doing after his accident that left him in the hospital and rehab for months

Anyway, some people have been calling Season 13 of the Biggest Loser the ‘most controversial season yet’ with all of the drama that went on.

Well, with Tuesday night’s Biggest Loser finale (May 1,2012) we saw the last of the season 13 drama and can now look forward to season 14 and a brand new batch of Biggest Loser contestants.

While Conda and Kim made a terrible impression at the beginning of the season we did see Kim withdraw from the Conda drama, make changes and become a better person. I cannot remember exactly when the transformation took place. I believe that it was shortly after Daphne left the ranch.

Eventually we did see some changes in Conda but at that point no one was sure if it was her changing or just the fact that the Biggest Loser producers had the rest of the season re-edited to get rid of some of the drama due to so many of the fans being upset to the point of not watching if it was going to continue down the same road that it had been.

Jeremy tended to get a bad rap because of being Conda’s brother. But I have recently discovered that Jeremy really is as he was portrayed on the Biggest Loser. He is a genuinely nice guy with a great sense of humor.

Even though many tend to think he is like his sister Conda, and have posted some pretty nasty things about him, Jeremy keeps his sense of humor about it all.

One time someone asked him what he and Conda do for fun-kick old people?

Jeremy said that the comment was actually pretty funny and he got a chuckle over it.

So, knowing what a nice guy Jeremy is I have to say that I feel good that he was the one that won the title of Biggest Loser and took home the $250,000 prize.

Another example of Jeremy’s niceness is that the first thing he plans to do with is new money is to pay up a debt he thinks that he owes Buddy. Jeremy Britt said that Buddy talked all the time about how desperately his family needs a van. Buddy talked about how he hoped that here would be a competition to win a new vehicle like he knew Biggest Loser has done in previous years.

Obviously this was off camera as we didn’t see this on any of the Biggest Loser episodes.

“I told him that if I win I’d buy him a van,” Jeremy said. “So that’s the first thing I will do.”

But as season 13 was coming to a close we saw that Conda did indeed seem to have done some growing, maturing and (dare we say …) improving on her behavior and personality?

Ok, here are the weight loss results:

Ben 396-139=257                                           35.41%

Mike 358-160=198                                         44.69%

Lauren 246-89=157                                         36.18%

Gail 322-87=235                                             27.02%

Nancy217-56=161                                         25.81%

Adrian370-108                                               29.19%

Roy306-88=218                                              28.76%

Daphne 271-88=183                                        32.47%

Chism 361-103=258                                        28.53%

Caasandra 239-92=147                                    38.49%

Emily 264-102= 162                                         38.64%

Kimmy 219-71=148                                         32.42%

Megan 259-76= 183                                          29.34%

Chris 240-77=163                                             32.08%

Mike took home the $100,000 “At Home” prize for losing the most weight out of the eliminated contestants. He sure deserved it with the huge amount of eight that he lost and his whole personality is so improved. He is not the same Mike that we first met at the beginning of Biggest Loser season 13. Congrats Mike on your win and how far you have come J

Because Mark and Buddy walked off the Biggest Loser Ranch, and quit, they were not allowed to participate in the finale.

Here are the results for the Final 3:

Kim 252-118=134                                             46.83%

Jeremy 389-199                                                 51.16%

Conda 294-115=179                                          39.12%

Kim won the $30,000 gym for her community in her hometown ofRoswell,Georgia. Even though Kim had high hopes of winning and being the Biggest Loser she still did very well.

Her and the other contestants won food for their local food banks back a while ago. She won the gym equipment for her hometown and she won a new vehicle recently.

BTW, if Buddy had fulfilled his contract and stuck it out on the Biggest Loser Ranch for that last week or two then he would have had the opportunity to win that vehicle and Jeremy wouldn’t be spending a chuck of his prize money getting a van for the Shu family.

Maybe some won’t agree with that but I am just saying that as a minister and man of honor that he (and Mark) should have stuck it out. Why should Jeremy have to buy Buddy a van hen he could have won a new vehicle himself? I think it was the same day that Mark and Buddy walked off the Biggest Loser that they had the contest for the new vehicle.

Ok, enough on that. I just want to congratulate Jeremy and Mike for their winning and everyone else that may not have won money but won their life and their health back. You all did a great job!

Now, just because the Biggest Loser is done for season 13 does not mean that we are done talking about it. We will still be posting more about season 13 and updates about Biggest Loser and former contestants, etc.

Biggest Loser has yet to be renewed for season 14 but many shows are yet to be renewed as it is still kind of early but we will let you know as soon as we find out. We have high hopes of Biggest Loser being renewed for season 14 as it has, even with lower ratings since Jillian Michaels left, been doing well in the rankings coming in at numbers 2-6 usually and this is out of 14 reality shows. Biggest Loser also has around 7 million viewers each week so we expect it to be renewed.

After all, it survived Vicky so it should survive Conda JLOL

Take care and have a great Summer! J

Biggest Loser Season 13 Week 17

Tuesday, April 24th, 2012

Well tonight, April 24, 2012 is the last episode with the contestants on the ranch. Next week is the live finale. Yes, it is here already! Who can believe it?

We left off last week with Alison calling in all the eliminated contestants (minus Mark and Buddy who walked off the ranch last week).

Alison Sweeny made it clear that if you walk off the ranch that you are NOT eligible for the prize money.

Gee, who could she have been talking about? Jlol

The eliminated players are back for a chance to fight for the last spot in the finale. Jeremy is determined that he will win and be back in the final 3.

The contestants find out that there will be a 4 part challenge and the one that wins will be the third contestant in the Biggest Loser finale next week.

The first part is a weigh-in to see who has lost the most weight since they first stepped on the ranch. The top 8 contestants go on to the next round and the bottom 7 leave the Biggest Loser Ranch for good.

Here are the results of the weigh-in:

Jeremy lost 150lbs.        38.56%

Chris 240- 74=166           30.83%

Megan 259- 70=189         27.03%

Kimmy 219-65=154          29.68%

Emily 264- 89+175            33.71%

Cassandra 239- 81=158   33.89%

Lauren 246-74 =172 (more than 63) 30.08%

Mike 358-114=244 (more than 95)    31.84%

Chism 361- 96=265     26.59%                                eliminated

Daphne 271- 67 lbs=204  24.72%                           eliminated

Roy 306-79 = 227 ( more than 75)   25.82%           eliminated

Adrian 370-79=291(more than 95)   21.35%           eliminated

Nancy 217-49=168(more than 56)    22.58%          eliminated

Gail 322-73=249 (more than 83)     22.67%            eliminated

Ben 396-99=297(more than 107)   25.00%             eliminated

Those that go on to the next round of this competition are:

- Jeremy

- Cassandra

- Emily

- Chris

- Kimmy

- Lauren

- Mike

- Megan

Jeremy is worried about not being the 3rd finalist. Conda gives him a pep talk and then asks him if he wants to be alone. “Sure” Jeremy says. Conda says “Don’t be a Donny Downer all night” as she walks out the door. J

Dolvett gets the makings for sandwiches and says to Jeremy “You’re not even a cook and you can make sandwiches like these”

Jeremy smiles and says “If I can do it, anyone can”

Mike has made such great strides. He is so much happier and nicer to be around. He has lost a lot of weight but it goes so much deeper than that. We are proud of you Mike. You have come so far J

Chris was told that since she is not medically cleared to compete in this challenge that she will not be in the final 3.

Ok, so the next challenge is for everyone to run 100 yards- the same place that they all ran 40 yards on the first day. Only the first five to cross the finish line will be able to move on to part 3 of the challenge.

Who are the 5 to cross the finish line first?

- Cassandra

- Lauren

- Megan

- Mike

- Jeremy

The 3rd challenge has the contestants having to complete a puzzle like they did in their very first challenge. They each have a stack of puzzle pieces and they need to match the food with the correct amount of calories. Only three will be able to move on to the final round.

- Mike

- Jeremy

- Lauren

The 4th challenge is all about endurance. The contestants have to balance on top of a post while holding onto a ticket to the finale. They have to keep their hand on their ticket and be the last person still standing in order to win their spot in the final 3.

Jeremy spent the whole time talking and trying to psyche the other 2 contestants out. He concentrated on Lauren first.

Ali asked Conda if Jeremy is like this at home. Conda says “What? Relentless?”

Ali said yes and Conda said…

“YES!”

Ali told Jeremy that he had been talking for 50 minutes straight and Lauren asked for earplugs :-) lol

They went to 1 foot at about 2 hours and 21 minutes.

Who do you think is going to win it?

Lauren started to get dizzy and then she fell after standing on 1 foot for over 10 minutes. She fell at 2 hours and 35 minutes.

Now it is down to being between Mike or Jeremy.

We are at 3 hours now.

Who will last?

3 hours and 10 minutes.

Both are figeting. Who will fall?

Mike fell.

And Jeremy is the winner!

Conda starts crying happy tears for her brother and gives him a hug.

Who is happy that Jeremy made it back to be the third person in the final 3?

I am sure that some people will be happy and others of you will be really upset.

I find it ironic that the final 3 are all people that everyone was disgusted with earlier in the season. I do think that these 3 have grown during their time at he Biggest Loser Ranch.

Sure Conda still has a bit more growing to do as noticed when she said that Jeremy deserved to be there at the ranch more than Kim when Jeremy only lost the 10 pounds last week.

I understand that she was upset and disappointed but Kim worked hard too and when all is said and done many think that Conda is only in the final 3 because Jeremy helped her through so many challenges.

But, I think that Conda has improved and I will give her credit for that. She realized how awful she acted and sounded and she was embarrassed and ashamed at her behavior.

I am not saying that she is an Angel but I do give her credit for the changes she has made in how she is both inside and out.

I did notice back a while ago that Kim and Conda weren’t so buddy buddy anymore and have noticed great improvements in Kim’s behavior for some time now.

I think that so much of people being upset with Jeremy was because he is Conda’s brother and because he kept helping her. So many people wanted to see Conda go home.

In seeing this and not being one to like people being rewarded for bad behavior I went ahead and started a petition to get the producers to either re-edit the show (if Conda wasn’t as bad as we were being led to believe that she was) or to not allow Conda to win at the finale. If they even would allow her to attend due to her conduct while on the Biggest Loser Ranch.

It wasn’t that I was out to get Conda. I simply was upset and saw that many of you all were too and wanted to go about changing something that I felt was wrong in the right way (unlike a couple of people I could mention).

Well, we got quite a few signatures (thank you -smile) and we got the Biggest Loser producers to make changes in how the show was edited. This made for a much nicer show to watch.

While watching up until this time I found myself screaming at the tv and getting so angry. Where as before I would yell at the tv but I also laughed and cried tears of joy for the contestants.

I know some of you have still been upset at how Season 13 of Biggest Loser has been but I saw enough of an improvement that I was able to once again enjoy my favorite show.

Sure, I still found myself wanting Conda to go home. Partly because I was still upset over her past behavior and partly because of things that she would do or say that week.

But, even though I am still disgusted with her initial behavior, I am one to give a person a second chance if they are attempting to change what they did wrong and I do feel that Conda has been doing so.

That doesn’t necessarily mean that she would be my first pick for the Biggest Loser Season 13 finale but I won’t feel so badly if she were to win as what I would have a couple of months or so ago.

Now who do I really want to win?

I don’t know. My absolute first choices are in the running for the at home prize. I do feel like I would choose between Jeremy and Kim simply because a part of me does feel that maybe Conda would not have made it this far if Jeemy hadn’t helped her so many times.

Kim was pretty awful at first too. Maybe not as bad as Conda but she got sucked into the whole drama thing and had her moments too.

Hmm…Jeremy? Was he really that bad or was he just guilty by association? Being Conda’s brother probably got him a lot of flack but was it warranted?

I am not sure.

But with the changes and the growth that I have seen in these three I don’t think that I will find myself screaming at the tv next Tuesday night (May 1st?). It will nice to be able to actually enjoy it.

It seems like Biggest Loser Season 13 has been so long and yet in some ways it has gone by so fast. I look forward to seeing the finale and finding out who wins it  but I am sad to see it go. I hate going a whole Summer without a new Biggest Loser to look forward to untill Fall.

Yet it looks like this Summer will be a busy one for Josh and I. So while we will miss Biggest Loser and all of you we will look forward to seeing you all again this Fall. We will post anytime w have something new to tell you about the Biggest Loser and/or it’s contestants.

BTW, we do have some things to tell you about some current and former contestants and we are sure that as Summer progresses there will be more. We will post these items asap so please continue to check back here often.

I plan on posting some on Saturday and of course we will see you next week  :-)

Take care

Biggest Loser Season 13 Week 13

This week’s excuse on the Biggest Loser? Exercise is Boring

On this week’s episode, March 27, 2012, we saw some season 12 contestants return to the Biggest Loser. Becky, Vinny and Antoine.

Why have they returned to the Biggest Loser Ranch? Well,  they will be judging the contestants’ dishes in this week’s cooking challenge which was a little later in the show.

To start we learn that 1 in 6 Americans struggle with hunger.

and more than 16 million kids do not have enough food to nourish their growing minds and body. These are sad statistics that I don’t think that many people realize.

Since 1982 Paul Newman and Newman’s Own has given over $330 Million to thousands of charities.

Having been there and done that I understand more than many how awful it is to not only go to bed hungry but to spend the day that way too.

Luckily that was a long time ago but once you have been in a situation like that the memory lingers on. This has caused me to have issues with not having enough food in the house in case of emergencies and I am sure that it has something to do with my weight issues. Once you know that deep hunger you never forget it and you never want o go through it again.

Ok, now it is time for the pop challenge.

The contestants have to load 150 boxes each of food on trucks. Half are 15 pounds and half are 20 pounds.

The first player to do it will be lucky enough to have 30,749 pounds of food donated to their local food bank. That equals 1 pound of food for every pound of weight ever lost on the Biggest Loser.

The contestant that loads all of their boxes first will also win a one pound advantage. This is a wonderful challenge with winners all around. Not only does the winner get the 1 pound advantage but their local community benefits too.

We’d like to thank Newman’s Own for supplying the food that is to be donated and for all of the food that they have donated to help to feed the hungry.

It didn’t take long to see that this challenge was really a competition between Kim and Mark with Kim in the lead for most of it. Shortly into this competition Kim had loaded half her boxes already but a miss-step in her strategy was her downfall.

Kim had chosen to load the lighter weight boxes first which WAS quicker but left her loading the heavier boxes once she was already starting to get tired.

Mark’s strategy just the opposite and that was what won him the 1 pound advantage. The winner of this challenge was Mark though Kim put up a good fight and it was pretty close up until the last.

After Mark loaded all of his boxes we learned that if the other players finished the challenge that everybody’s hometown would get a truck full of food too.

So, Mark asked if he could help and Alison said “Yes” and he went over and started helping Jeremy. Once his boxes were all loaded then they all helped Chris, Kim and so on until everyone’s truck was loaded.

I liked how everyone was helping everyone. It was a very touching part of this week’s Biggest Loser. How much nicer than all the drama that we were seeing for so long this season.

Bob gives Megan a video camera so she can produce a video diary of what she does this week when he is not on the ranch.

Bob takes his contestants on a bike ride. Conda complained the whole time but Megan showed us what she can do and she did a great job!

Dolvet decided to spice things up a bit, and show everyone that exercise need not be boring, by taking his contestants to a Zumba class. The contestants found that it made exercise seem more like fun than exercise.

We saw a whole new side to Buddy. I got such a kick out of him. He just seemed to bloom and this became one of my favorite parts of this week’s episode.

Then Dolvett announced each contestant’s starting weight and had them tell their current weight. Everyone in the class was amazed at how much weight the Biggest Loser contestants had all lost.

Then it was off to the grocery store for the contestants to start their next challenge. They had to come up with a recipe for the upcoming cooking challenge and they only had 7 minutes to get all the ingredients to create their chosen recipe.

7 minutes in an unfamiliar store is not a lot of time which the contestants found out. Chris especially had a hard time with this when she was unable to find the honey easily. She finally managed to locate it though.

Now Jeremy was a story all his own JLOL. He decided to make French toast which I guess is about the extent of his culinary ability. He got bread, bananas and some other items. Time was running out but he made it across the finish line with just seconds to spare only to discover that he was missing a key ingredient……

EGGS!

What to do? What to do? You can’t make French toast without eggs. The other contestants ribbed Jeremy a bit. You only need 2 ingredients to make French toast and Jeremy forgot one of them.

Ok so when they get back at the ranch, Alison reminds them that they will have 20 minutes to cook their meals and the winner gets $1,000 per pound that they lose this week.

Here is a breakdown of who is cooking what:

Chris is cooking Broccoli & Cheese stuffed Chicken with Orange Honey Dipping Sauce.

Buddy is making Tropical Grilled Chicken Salad.

Kim is making Teriyaki Beef on a Portobello Mushroom – which she has never cooked before.

Megan is making Seared Tilapia on Grilled Vegetables.

Conda is making Spicy Cabbage Stew with Ground Turkey.

And Jeremy? In trying to find a way to use his French toast ingredients, minus the crucial eggs, Jeremy decided to cook his bananas and took the last large burner which was what Chris needed to cook her Broccoli & Cheese stuffed Chicken.

Chris is complaining that Jeremy has a large burner and all that is left are small burners that don’t put out enough heat.

Jeremy finally takes his fried bananas off the heat and Chris moves in, but as time runs out, she finds her chicken is still pink inside.  Time runs out and Chris tells us she is mortified that the chicken is not completely cooked.

Alison then introduces Vinnie, Antone and Becky from Season 12 who will judge their meals.

They all look fantastic!
Jeremy is first to take his dish in to the judges. He serves them his ‘Jeremy’s Banana Surprise’ -a whole grain bread covered with lowfat cream cheese and strawberry jam and then topped with cooked banana and apples.

Total calories of 208, total fat 2g and sodium 417 mg.

The judges couldn’t believe it took Jeremy the whole 20 minutes to prepare his dish.

Then Megan served her tilapia

Total 430 calories, fat 21g and 859 mg sodium.  The judges are impressed up until they saw the sodium content of her dish.

Conda  served her cabbage stew

Total 305 calories, 8g fat, 517mg sodium.  Vinnie loved it.  Conda returns to the kitchen and tells them “Done, See ya…. Winning”

Chris goes in to serve her broccoli stuffed chicken breast – 393 calories, 15g fat, 551mg sodium.  She does not want to serve it because the chicken is not completely cooked.   Antone noticed that Chris’s chicken is not done. Chris tells them she knew it was a risk, but she is not on a cooking show, she is on a weight-loss show and they should have given her more time.

I think that she should have mentioned that she only had a small burner to cook her chicken.

Antone was not impressed to hear Chris giving an excuse in the ‘season of no excuses’.

Mark served his Marinated Chicken

Total 446 calories, 24g fat, 599 mg sodium.  Antone told Becky and Vinnie that adding feta cheese raised the calories and fat content and was not necessary for flavor

Buddy serves his tropical chicken

Total 432 calories, 28g fat, 316mg sodium.  All three judges are appalled to find out Buddy used real mayo and felt that he should have used low fat mayo instead.

Kim brings in her Teriyake beef – 330 calories, 17g fat, 468mg sodium.  Antone says the dish was fantastic.

Kim walks back into the kitchen and says “They said that they like Jeremy’s better”

Megan said “They did not!” and everyone chuckled.

The judges came in and announced Kim as the winner.

Antone called Chris on her raw chicken in front of everyone. I felt bad for her. How was she to know that she would end up with a small burner? Who would expect Jeremy to cook bananas? And it seems to me that Chris is a bit of a shy person. She was so quiet when she first came on the Biggest Loser and has finally stared to open up and really shine lately.

Antone bringing up her mistake in front of everyone embarrassed her. I can understand that. But when all was said and done it turned out that this awful calamity for Chris was an opportunity for her learn.

How many of us need to use our awful moments as opportunities to learn? Probably many of us.

I love Bob’s outfit that he wore for the last chance workout. Too cute when Bob walked in wearing his striped t-shirt thinking it looks like he is a referee and Chris says to him “I’m trying to figure out if this outfit has anything to do with our workout today”

I think that it was Conda that said “It’s a referee. He’s a referee”

Then Chris pipes up with “Or jail!” And everyone laughed.

Bob chuckled and said about workouts don’t need to be boring and neither do your workout clothes J

The weigh in:

Kim   171 to 164  -7  4.09%  (and wins $7000)
Conda  217 to 210  -7  3.23%
Chris  174 to 170  -4  2.30%
Jeremy 266 to 260  -6  2.26%
Buddy  275 to 269  -6  2.18%

Megan  195 to 191  -4  2.05%
Mark   200 to 200  -0  with one pound advantage .5%

Megan and Mark are below the yellow line and up for elimination.  Alison congratulates Kim for winning $7000 and being the Biggest Loser of the week.

So it ends up with Mark and Megan being below the yellow line. Considering that Mark didn’t lose any weight at all I think that he should be the one to go home this week.

Alas, it was Megan who was sent home. But she seems to be doing great at home and is now engaged to be married. It seems that her boyfriend will be supportive of her in her weight loss goals as he has lost weight since Megan has been on the Biggest Loser Ranch.

***UPDATE*** It seems that not only is Megan getting married but that Conda is going to be one of her bridesmaids. Hmmm, Conda voted Megan off the ranch yet she gets to be a bridesmaid? Either Megan is VERY forgiving or else there is a lot that goes on at the Biggest Loser Ranch that we don’t see and maybe Conda isn’t quite as bad as we all thought? Then again, she DID say and do all of those things or else Biggest Loser couldn’t have videotaped them.

What are your thoughts on this?

Now don’t forget that Biggest Loser will only be 1 hour April 3, 2012

Chuckle for the day?

‘I want to get a dog and name her Naked so I can tell people that I need to go walk naked down the street’ :-) LOL

Biggest Loser Season 13 Tempers Are Soaring

Tuesday, February 14th, 2012

Hey All,
Well, I was just going to include this in my post about what happened week 6 but there is far too much being said about the contestants in this season’s Biggest Loser. So, I am dedicating a whole post just to what everyone is saying. Believe me, people are upset and tempers are soaring both on the Biggest Loser and among the viewers.

The comments are flying all over the web and here is just a sampling. I have gone through well over 250 pages from all over the web and worked hard to condense it down to this.

One common thread that I am seeing time and time again is that no one can stand Conda and her mean, childish behavior.

If you are unhappy with all of the drama then below you will find a petition to sign and here are the
Executive producers
Ben Silverman, Dave Broome, JD Roth, Todd A. Nelson, Todd Lubin and Alex Katz
Contact them at http://www.nbc.com/contact/general

Maybe I should have called this post ‘Go Home Conda & Kim!’

I am going to post part of Lisa’s comment first because I think that it is something that some of us should keep in mind when watching the Biggest Loser and see things like Chris’s breakdown about wanting to go home. It no way excuses some of the bad behavior that we have seen but it can helps us to be a little more understanding about some of what we see each week.

Lisa said “I know if I was on the show everyone would be telling me to get off the show because I’d be crying all the time, missing my son, dealing with everyone else’s personalities, as well as the massive stress of having to workout like crazy every day, and concentrating on showing that big number at the end of the week. It would be very difficult all the way around, especially this season where you’d be torn wanting your team to win, but also wanting your family member to win on the other team. Kudos to everyone who actually does this show, because it would be so hard”

There are some people who are extremely upset about Conda’s behavior and are doing something about it.
They have started a petition to get Conda either removed from the remaining episodes or boycotted from the finale.
You can sign their petition HERE if you would like to do so http://www.change.org/petitions/nbc-universal-inc-remove-conda-britt-from-this-season-of-the-biggest-loser

***UPDATE*** This petition is closed so I created a new one at a different site where they don’t have the time limitations that they must have at change.org.
If you want to make a positive difference in the direction of the Biggest Loser tv show then you should sign our petition to keep Conda from gaining monetarily for her dreadful behavior, stop future contestants from behaving like her but to also include more of the feel good moments that we have not been seeing lately.

http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/remove-conda-britt-from-the-biggest-loser/

You can also find a link at the side. Please tell everyone you know about our petitions and help us to make some positive changes in The Biggest Loser and how our meat is processed. Thank you ?

Anyway, the comments I have been reading include such things as:

Comments about Conda & Kim…

“Conda is a spoiled brat”

“Conda is poisonous to the good energy, and she is not dealing with her personal issues at all, but is attacking others to avoid it”

“Someone needs to sit down with Conda and fill her in on the fact that it is about losing weight not being the biggest bitch.”

“Conda just poisons everyone on the team and half the time it seems she is just making things up.”

“Conda should be kicked off the show, or made so busy exercising every minute of the day by herself so that she would be too tired to spit poison at anyone. She should be called Anaconda, because she’s just a big fat snake waiting to see who she could attack.”

“Conda lies, manipulates and is not being true to herself or her team mates. She is what I term a “pot stir – er” (sp?) She always does it so that at some point the spot light is on her and then everyone has to feel sorry for her. C’mon!!!!”

“Conda’s a sore loser and has something bad to say about everyone. Now she’s starting to rub off on Kim. I actually liked Kim until she jumped on Conda’s ‘_itch train.’ I think if Conda was gone, the Red team would be stronger”

“Conda seems to be a young catty b*tch who cares more about gossiping than bettering her own life or allowing the other contestants to have the peace to better theirs. I’m SOOOOOO glad that she is not on Bob’s team!!! You know what they say, misery loves company and I think her negative energy is toxic for the entire house”

“Conda sit and rolled her eyes and snickered and made rude comment because adrian only lost 2 pounds?????? How many pounds did she lose? Oh I believe it was TWO! Pretty sad when she has been there alot longer then he has and she lost the same amount. If she was minding her own and not busy trashing with Kim ( the other loser) she might have gotten more out of her workout”

“Conda is so nasty I’m amazed she hasn’t come closer to being voted off. And I was appalled at how unsupportive the contestants were to the aqua team. It was just sad, childish, horrible behavior all around”

“That Conda is so immature and malicious in her attitude toward others and it makes her appear so ugly.”

“I cannot believe that Conda’s name was not anywhere on the ballots for she was one of the fewest percentage of weight that week. Is everyone on the red team so scared of her? Or do they enjoy the drama????”

Regina said “Conda is a nightmare. Her attitude is crappy. She’s always stirring up conflict with someone: Dolvett; Cassandra; and now, an obvious person to go after because he’s new, Adrian. Kim is no better as she’s Conda’s wingman so to speak. Kim should know better. At least with Conda you can blame it on her being immature. With Kim, well, she’s coming off as just a horrible person. They both are just unbearable and completely unlikeable in this last episode. I was really hoping the team would vote Conda off just to get rid of how toxic she makes everything. The black team seems to be more together”

“I think that Conda and Kim have shown themselves for what they really are. Really saw it in Conda at the first weigh-in with her comment about Mike, but, it goes on from there. I think they are just so afraid that they are going to lose to someone, who was able to do this at home. Grow up.”

“Conda has not learned what she needs, to say we are all in this together, So people don’t Hate conda, Or kim, just tell them we are all in this together”

“It’s just wrong how the red team did Adrian, in the beginning I was rooting for them, I’m now going for the black team …. Conda and Kim with her funny looking self should be ashamed of themselves .”

“The mean-spiritedness is coming from one person (Conda) who continually stirs negative feelings about others she doesn’t like. Seriously, I think when she is voted off, you will see a different ranch.”

“The way the Red team welcomed (or didn’t) Adrian back was so out of whack ~ just plain mean and spiteful. What kind of attitude is that between “team” mates?? Mostly Conda and Kim ~ and I must say they seem to have quite the attitudes and keeps stirring things in the house. I think they’d be wise to spend a little more time on their weight loss and food management than telling people when they should talk and when they shouldn’t. They didn’t give Adrian an ounce of courtesy”

“I am not liking the way the other players are treating the aqua team. Tells the guys to shut up over and over was ridiciulous. He has the right to his feelings and to express himself the same as everyone else that is there. The women are being hateful this season, not supportive. I REALLY can’t stand Conda’s attitude”

“ Conda is the biggest drama queen and I can’t stand her. I work with people like that and they are very difficult to be around. Kim does not help at all.”

“last night’s episode was brutal. Watching all the negativity got me so worked up my blood was boiling. The way the contestants were treating the aqua team and talking behind their backs was appalling. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten that angry or upset watching a show”

“Conda is a disease and Kim are diseases! They are plaguing the show with spiteful negativity.”

“Conda has a lot of growing up to do, and she needs an attitude adjustment”
“There has been way too much time devoted to Conda and her negativity.”

“That Conda, she’s not pleasant. Maybe that’s just the editing, I don’t know, but she comes off as a know-it-all (and far too young to know-it-all).”

“Conda comes across as a young immature “Wanna-Be” – someone who used to be a “Queen-Bee” at school perhaps and got that way by putting other people down.”

“CONDA is toxic and she is proud of it! It’s pretty obvious she has problems with men in general and she thinks it’s ok in that crazy messed up head of hers!”

“Conda, not Nancy should have been the one sent home last night.”

“I am SO glad that someone else pointed out the “subtle” racism that I saw on last night’s episode. I don’t think it was just Kim, either. I saw it from a couple of other contestants, and I’m wondering if they’d make the same comments if Adrian and Daphne weren’t black”

“Conda is a bully…plain & simple. I work in a school system of 30,000+ and Conda fits the classic profile of a bully.”

“Conda has learned nothing, that’s pretty clear! Being toxic one minute and then crying like she gives a rip! Whatever, she can’t get off the show soon enough to say the least!”

“ I watched the weigh in with the hopes that Conda would be eliminated. Sadly she remains, along with Kim, the two worst influences on that ranch.”

“Conda is very petty and immature. She thinks we still exist in High School. She has been on everyone’s case….and it hasn’t even been warranted! As far as Kim, I used to like her. I saw a competitive side that I liked. Not anymore….she has turned petty”

“wishing that Conda would go home so that we would not have to suffer through her eye rolling and her total lack of respect for those trying to help her.”

“I just think that the last episode was awful the way those two girls treated the new guy.”

“Conda is very immature and Kim, really she should know better and be a bit more accepting, however it does not seem to be in her nature

“The whining and drama is much more this year- the sooner condra is elimated the better! Even her brother has this attitude issue, neither losing what they should”

“I did not like last night’s episode because Conda and Kim didn’t give Adrian a chance to become a part of their team. He and his sister earned their way back into the house and they should be given the same chance as all of the other contestants in the house. They have been treated as outcasts for no reason.”

“I am sick and tired of Conda and her crap. Her ugliness, negativity and immature drama just get under my skin”

“As for Dolvett’s team, why won’t they vote Conda off. Nancy lost more weight than fake tears, all talk, no results Conda. And Kim is awfully racist while trying to act like she isn’t”

“ I really have a problem with two girls on the red team, Kim and Conda. Seriously they need to grow up”

“The two girls are acting as if all the world revolves around them…and so childish…I mean Conda even made jokes about kicking Adrian…really. I really believe that attitude is something deep inside of them that needs to be cleaned out…majorly”

“I agree with most of the comments on Facebook. There are a couple of VERY nasty women on the Red Team”

“Conda and Kim have crossed the line when it comes to the treatment of the Aqua team. Adrian has been extremely gracious especially after being told to be quiet – who do they think they are to tell anyone to be quiet?”

“The only problem I had last night is the way conda was last night with the aqua team…I don’t care how miserable you are you don’t go after someone the way she did… I don’t care about drama but I do care about mean ignorant people like conda, doing what ever she can to get her own way”

“Conda should have been voted off.”

“The way Conda & Kim treated Adrian was so uncomfortable to watch”

“I feel like Conda is always offended by something and acts on that offense with such an attitude that it’s difficult to root for her, despite the fact that she obviously needs the help of TBL and is a single mom.”
***I hate the idea that someone so filled with hate and pettiness might be passing this nastiness on to a child?

“I think that conda and Kim should be forced to leave and they can try to work their way back to the show and see if they can do it.!!!”

“Conda is like poisonous venom. She should have been the one who went home not Nancy just on the merits of her bad attitude. She needs to take a chill pill and grow-up! I mean really sit down and look back on all the crap she’s flingin’ and change her attitude. She’s the one causing all the problems.”

“Just have to say, I really think Conda needs to go home as well as Kim”

“I like that the aqua team joined the ranch, but not a fan of all the drama that happened when they got there. It seems like Conda won’t be happy until she doesn’t have anybody left to sass. I generally don’t wish anyone to leave the ranch and think they all deserve a spot, but she needs to go. What a horrible attitude.”

“Personally, I think of Conda were gone from the show, things would get better”

“I hope that when the Red team especially Conda sees themselves on TV they realize that all of their negative, vile, energy could have been spent losing weight rather than worrying about a new team member.”

“Conda and Kim, pettiness is NOT a cute color on either of you. When Conda said that she hoped the challenge for the day would be “drowning your new teammate in the ocean…” Really? That is JUST DISGUSTING. Conda is clearly an extremely miserable person who needs to put others down. Perhaps the focus really needs to be on changing her inside and then the outside. Just terrible!”

”Conda should be kicked off just for her poor character.”

“To treat a couple who just got the opportunity to come back to the ranch the way they did with hostility and resentment without giving them a chance was disgraceful(especially the women, Conda & Kim).”

“How the red team treated the guy from the aqua team is depressing. He was excited to be there, to make it back, and they just shot him down. From the looks of how he breezed through the workouts he DID work out a lot at home. Why can’t they appreciate a hard worker?”

“This is not the first time TBL has brought back players who were eliminated in the very first show – before they even get to the ranch. It has happened several times. And if the players actually do qualify to be on the ranch at that point, they have always received immunity for the first week to avoid the newbies getting eliminated just because they’re newbies. I don’t know why Conda and Kim are so hostile to the whole idea. Haven’t they ever watched the show? Or they’re just nasty.”

“I also can’t stand the way the red team acts….. The 2 girls get on my last nerve and I want to punch them through the TV…”

Janelle said “I cannot stand Conda this season! I am the same age as her and I am APPALLED at how disrespectful she is to Dolvet and the other contestants in the house. She acts like she’s still in 8th grade. I feel awful every time I see her manipulate the others and bring around so much negativity. The day she goes home will be a great day for Biggest Loser S. 13!”

“its so painful to see that Conda still has not gained anything from being on the show.. all she does is badmouth and backstab others and sheds some crocodile tears in the elimination room”

“Conda is a bully. She had issues with Mike, she had issues with Dolvett, she called Cassandra a cheater because Conda was a poor sport and a sore loser. Now she has an issue with Adrian whose only real fault was working his butt off to get back on the ranch. And her #’s hasn’t been showing that she has earned the cockiness she’s been displaying during the show”

“Conda is a big bully and so is Kim. There doesn’t need to be bullies on the Biggest Loser because bullies tend to put stress on other players and those players tend to not to so good.”

“Conda needs to go!!!!! she does nothing but complain and whine about everyone who is on there. The big “J” is upon her too. Her and the other girl on the red team (can’t think of her name) but they are always, always complaining about someone”
“Conda needs to go. She is stressing everyone out and thats why the numbers were all off. Everyone knows that stress is not good for weight loss and she is the center of it!!!”

““I hope Conda doesn’t win”

“Conda is so toxic to herself and everyone around her. It is like watching middle school bully, gathering strength in numbers because she isn’t strong enough on her own.”

“I can’t even count how many times I heard younger girl on the Red team say “she hates, so and so” and “he has to go”. I know TV can help make villians out of people but they can’t make you say “hate” all the time. Go black team!!!”

“I was SO hoping that the Red Team would man up and vote Conda or Kim out, and instead they voted out Nancy, the person who was TRYING to keep the peace and get people to focus on what they are there for.”

“I was so disappointed in the red team specifically; Conda,Kim and also Mark. Adrian earned his spot on the team. You , red team, need to inspire yourselves, your team mates; and also America”

Lindsay says “Someone needs to stand up to Conda and set her straight – she’s a bully!! She acts like a child and brings down the whole good vibe of the show. I hate watching her and the way she acts, and then expects everyone to treat her like a princess. She was horrible to Adrian and it made me so mad that nobody else would stand up to her. She hated him right from the start, talking like he was being so arrogant – he freaking EARNED a spot back on the ranch!! Wouldn’t you be freaking out too?! And then to start making things up about what he said with working out 14 hours a day – let’s grow up a little and graduate from middle school attitudes! No grown adult should act the way she does”

“The way the Aqua team was treated is terrible. Why Conda is still on the show is beyond me”

“Like everyone else, I’m hating Conda and her nasty attitude. I hope things will get better this season”

“Conda needs to go home, then Kim, and then Mark. All of you act like little children”

“I don’t dislike Conda as much as some but I do believe she has some issues she needs to figure out before she can lose any significant amount of weight. Her self-esteem is so low, she tries to make others seem bad so she looks better”

“all the stress just sabotages them all. .heck no one had a great week. . .helloooooo”

“Conda and Kim are downright mean and hateful. The refused to give Adrian a chance. He did better than they did in their workout and Conda diminishes him by saying it was an easier workout. She couldn’t get herself across those monkey bars”

“I don’t know how Conda has not yet been physically harmed by another contestant. I firmly believe she should have been kicked off of the show for the way she treated Dolvett”

“Conda for me. She has been very negative, not only to Adrian, but to many other people on the show. She sits there saying that they don’t need the drama Adrian is bringing to the ranch, when she’s the one who is manipulative and hateful. She has soured her team members against each other. Doesn’t anyone see this?”

Conda, Kim and Mark are especially unpleasant. I find myself hoping they will get voted off so I can enjoy the show again. If they have all the knowledge that enables them to criticize others so much; then GO HOME and lose weight! I hope everyone on the show has success, but I’m very tired of hearing the stupid, hateful, immature comments that make up most of the show these days. If you don’t have anything nice to say: SHUT UP!

Comments –Aqua team:

I think the way the Aqua team was “welcomed” was horrible!!!

Best of luck Adrian. You were absolutely right in your analysis of your team. I was shocked at their cut-throat, nasty attitude toward you. You’re an inspiration to me. I admire your courage and attitude and the way you are helping the young people around you. In my mind you are already the Biggest Loser. I wish you and your family well.

I truly felt so bad for Adrian last night. On a whole, the red team was just terrible to him

I was happy for Daphne and Adriene and I felt like they were attacked (especially the red team) the second they came back. Who did everyone think they were talking to them that way, just because they were there longer?

The aqua team worked their hardest and got their spots back. I don’t think much of any of them showed any maturity at all. Total disrespectful to blatantly tell a grown man to listen more talk less.

i just think the couple that returned last night got a bad rap.

that the Aqua team was blind-sided. He has such a great positive attitude and people are throwing it back at them

I was extremely disappointed with the reception that Adrian and Daphne received upon returning to the ranch. The other contestants had such a sense of entitlement when they forget that their being on the ranch is the result of someone giving them a second chance at life

I felt soo bad for the aqua team this week.

I was shocked to see the red group telling Adrien to shut up and listen, in this day and age in the world that was so low class and disgusting,

I feel terrible that the Aqua team is being treated so horribly. Don’t tell Adrian to “Shut up”. He is entitled to his own thoughts and opinions. Here’s a thought — why don’t one of you befriend him and help him. And those of you who are complaining because Aqua lost 1 and 2 lbs. Most of you didn’t do a whole lot better. Do you see that all the negativity hurt everyone on the scales?

I also don’t like seeing the institutional racism directed toward the aqua team, especially Adrian. No one seems to realize what it means to tell a black man or woman to be quiet. I suggest you read Edward Bonilla-Silva’s Racism Without Racists.

***Note*** I have not read this book but would like to after reading this. I DO know that it is impolite to tell any adult be they black, white, red or purple to be quiet the way that Conda and Kim have Adrian.

They worked hard to get back onto the show, and I believe they deserve it
I thought I’ve seen other seasons, where players return, and they are welcomed. I was shocked when they were nearly shunned

i agree that Adrian came in a bit too bold, but I would hate to feel so ‘alone’ and ‘attacked’.

The Red Team sending Nancy home today when they always sit her out of the challenges and she lost more weight than a few other people on the Red Team is ridiculous. I’m glad Adrian called them out on it and I hope he continues to

Those 2 dare I say women are so immature and just mean. Adrian, Is kind and didn’t deserve the way they treated him. Of coarse he is excited, he got a second chance. Shame on them

The way the aqua team was treated was one of the worst things I have ever seen.

just imagine how amazing it would be if someone from the Aqua team hung on to win the whole thing? That’s an incredible story line that I’d love to see

I believe the aqua team are sincere and genuine, and I don’t think they were playing the game. Has anyone ever done the diet where you cut out carbs, and then the next week you add them back in?
Either you GAIN weight, or you do like they did, just lose a little. The contestants just didn’t get that

The thing about Adrian is the Red team never did accept him as a team member. It’s a cycle. If the red team would have embraced Adrian when he came in and didn’t have such sour faces whenever he walked into a room, maybe he would not have to get so defensive and not listen when his team did talk to him. The red team got the attitude they deserved from Adrian based on what they gave him.

adrian was just used as a sacrifice this week so the red team didnt have to voite off one of their quote unquote family members. i hope the red team continues to lose all challenges and weigh ins so they can vote eachother out of the game. no one on their team deserves to win. just look at how bob welcomed daphne onto the black team by tellling his team members she had only been there 2 weeks and needed help from the black team . adrian never receieved that from the red team. sad.

Comments about other contestants:

When the show started, I was really rooting for Chism but he even started showing some nastiness this past episode.

I am sickened by the Red Team. I believe that they should be more of a team. Need to knock off the drama and if Red Team knew what was good for them they would get rid of the drama queen, Conda. I feel that she is going to be the death of the red team, if this drama continues. It wasn’t Adrian that created the DRAMA. Good Job Black Team on being a team

I understand that the show is not scripted, it’s a game, people are people, you never truly know who people are and how they will interact with others until their true colors shine (good and bad), and the producers do get to decide what to show and highlight and what to leave out. It does make sense that lots of negativity comes out when food and other distractions are no longer there, as well as being in a bubble (getting irritated with each other, etc…)

I find the red team to be childish and immature. I would be embarrassed if a family member of mine acted the way they act. I even found some other their attitude and behaviors to be racist. The remaining red team members are petty and morally corrupt.

As for Mark, I was rooting for him along with several other people until Week 5. Since then, I don’t care if he manages to make it all the way or not.

This season has become such a disgrace because of the red team. Conda, Kim N., and Mark have absolutely disgusting personalities and morals. Buddy joined there team this week by jumping on the idiot bandwagon. I have never wished complete failure on anyone in the history of this show and I hope all four of them fail miserably for there truly horrible and ugly personalities. And Mark a pastor, hahahahaha. Sounds like somebody trying to save some tax dollars. Conda and Kim are unbearable

I’m with ya. I actually wish all four of them get sent home and then eat until they gain all their weight back. I don’t usually wish bad things on people, but they make it so hard not to.

Regardless of how Chism and Jeremy acted, they better watch out. They don’t want to be put on Santa’s naughty list.

It is obvious from the Ganging Up on Adrian video that some black team members do not like the fact that they came back. AKA Chism, “I wish they never came back” He said they, not Adrian. I have to admit I was disapointed in Chism for that remark. Conda singles out people and then gathers a mob against them. First it was Mike, then Adrian. For all we know, she was the cause behind Laurens elimination. Come on! What did Lauren ever do?

Let’s end with something a little more positive ok? ???

Just want to say that the LOOK Bob gave was “priceless” when your black team let go of their ropes after winning the challenge when they were holding you on the platform above the dunk tank … you know for a split second you thought you were going in …. Hilarious

Ok, so maybe the US Biggest Loser season 13 is not so bad after all-

“You all should see the Australian version this season. Your season 13 has nothing on those contestants. They voted someone out, when if none of them voted, both contestants would have stayed.”

“ As for the black team, I don’t have a favorite but Cassandra has really grown on me and forgive me for not remembering the Aqua girl’s name but she’s cool. And I must say I love Adrian! He’s so honest, motivated, and sweet! I wish he were on Bob’s team as if I had to pick a person I want to win it all, it would be him! It pisses me off the way the red team treats him”

I’m finding the good in the season; there are always people who I like….Mark and Roy I like a lot; Chism is great (what were his parents thinking with that name!?); Kim S. is real low key {I had my first “who’s she?” moment last night (and I watch every minute of the show with my full attention), and I’m feeling Adrian and Daphne (Adrian just needs to pull back). Christine is growing on me

“Some people believe holding on and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go and then do it”
~Ann Landers

I found these comments on Bob’s blog, nbc biggest loser, facebook and all over the internet where-ever people were talking about Biggest Loser. It took hours and hours to be able to bring these all to you, to go through and condense them down to these 23 pages. I am giving credit to the sites/people where I got the comments.

Biggest Loser Season 13 week 3

Friday, January 20th, 2012

Ok, so Joe wanted to go home. I understand that they miss their families. At least Jeremy has his head on straight and tried to talk him out of it

Did you know that there are 41,000 chinese restaraunts in the Us? That’s more than McDonald’s, Wendys and Burger King combined? WOW! I had no clue.

Ok, so here we go with a temptation.

Everything looked so good. I can’t imagine being in the room seeing and smelling that food.

Do you feel that an obese person is like an alcoholic? Do you think that they can never eat high calorie foods again or will fall right back into that whole way of eating? Do you think that they only need worry while losing the weight and then should be able to cheat on occasion without too much concern? Or do you think it was ok to eat to win the temptation?

I was surprised that no one on the red team seemed to be tempted

Good thinking on the black team’s part. A 30 calorie fortune cookie wouldn’t do a lot of damage and yet would have a chance of giving them control over the face-off and the 2 pound advantage

Cassandra seemed really happy about winning and she sure didn’t waste any time in picking out who would face off against whom.

Black (weight loss- %) lbs lost vs   Red =who won & their weight loss

Emily   (  14lbs-5.30 %)              and   Roy (19 lbs-6.21%)

Jeremy  (    lbs-5.14 %)               and   Lauren (    lbs-5.28 %)

Joe          (    lbs- 6.44 %)            and   Nancy (    lbs-4.61 %)= Nancy with just 2 lbs

Chism     (    lbs-5.54  %)            and  Kim ( 16   lbs-6.35 %)

Mark    ( 17 lbs-5.84 %)              and  Chris    (    lbs- 5.83 %)

Megan  (    lbs-4.25 %)                and  Buddy    ( 31 lbs-7.69 %)

Gayle    (    lbs-4.35 %)                and  Kimmy     (    lbs- 5.94 %)

Cassandra      (    lbs-    %)

What do you think of Joe leaving like that? He did leave his team in the lurch and make it that much harder for his team to win the weigh-in.

Yes, he misses his family but is his going home now going to cost them extra years that they might have had?

And when you think about how much the aqua team wants to be there and we have had 2 people leave voluntarily already in week 3?

That’s crazy!

How funny: Bob saying “I knew I’d get that old woman to cuss”

Well, that’s all I have time for today. I wasn’t sure that I would even post what with my Uncle dying but I decided to at least post some. I will try to finish it on Saturday so that we will be all caught up for next week’s Biggest Loser-K?

In the meantime here is something gross.

Take a look:

Click the pic for more info but basically this is processed chicken which is the entire chicken- including the eyeballs which is used in nuggets and processed chicken patties, etc. I am so sick to my stomach over this- EEEEWWWW! YUCK!

Now, from my research it DOES say that they have been doing this sinch the late 1960′s which means that we have probably all ate it and didn’t even know it.

It can be found in things like chicken nuggest, processed chicken patties, hot dogs, bologna, salami, etc.

I also know that we probably all know in that eating these things isn’t healthy anyway but when you are on a low income sometimes they are about the only meat you can afford to eat.

My son and I had just eaten hot dogs days before I read this article and saw this pic. Last night we had hot dogs again- because they are cheap. BUT, I couldn’t eat the same brand I ate the last time we had hot dogs- even though they were on sale for $1 for a package. We ended up getting some that were a manager’s discount for $2 because they were beef. Beef is not processed in this way in the US due to mad cow disease.

I do not know how each individual country processes their meat so if this interests you (or disgusts you) you may want to look into that. I know that we have visitors from all over the world (thank you so much for that :-) we REALLY appreciate it!) and I would LOVE to be able to tell you all how the meat is processed in YOUR country. BUT, with my Uncle dying and time constraints I just cannot do so at this time.

I AM however trying to find time (hopefully this week yet) to see about getting a petition going to change this process. I do not see why they cannot remove the heads and the internals before processing the meat this way so that we are not getting the disgusting parts in there that some of us (Me included) cannot stomach the idea of eating- even if we already HAVE and just didn’t know it.

I know it may sound silly to some of you that I cannot eat the exact same thing that I ate just a week or two ago but the idea that there are ground up eyeballs and guts (including the bowel) in that meat is just something I can’t stomach.

I am hoping that many of you would be willing to sign a petition to get this policy changed.

I think that having people to clean the chickens before processing would save not having to use unneccessary chemicals that could be causing health issues for many of us and must be costing them money. Use that money to pay people to clean the chickens= healthier meat and more jobs.

They can always use the parts removed for animal feed like they have done for years. The animals won’t know the difference and they eat these parts when they hunt anyway. Also, the price of cat and dog food has risen dramatically in recent years. I wonder how much of this is because of people insisting that the anials get ‘choice’ cuts of meat. My belief is that this has caused the price of not only dog and cat food to rise but our food as well. Only so many animals can be grown in a given year and yet it needs to feed us all. And why shoud WE as humans be forced to eat these parts, if we don’t want to, simply because we cannot afford anything better?

I know that some of you will disagree with me. That’s ok. You can still come here and enjoy My Biggest Loser Blog. As you can see from past posts I very rarely rant about anything other than the Biggest Loser on here. So if you don’t agree about my views on the meat processin you can skip over it and get to what you really want to read. I most likely will only post if and when I get the petition done and a possible update here and there.

As for Biggest Loser? I cannot wait for tonight’s show. It comes on in just over an hour so I am heading home so I will not miss even a teensy weensy second of it like we did a couple of weeks ago due to there being a bad storm. We missed 20 minutes of it-UGH!!! The HORROR!

I am finally recovering though due to the fact that I was finally able to see what we had missed -ahhhhh! The relief! :-) )

Enjoy Biggest Loser tonight and I will be talking with you soon.

Biggest Loser-Maria Goes Home

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

Tonight on Biggest Loser I was surprised at how many people did not want to try to win the temptation. Since Michael and Sherry were tied I was a bit shocked that Michael came that close and then gave the game up. Since the candies were only 5 calories each and all he would have needed to eat was few more it was a bit surprising.

Okay, so pink team got the power to control the game. They got to choose who would be the teacher and who would be the student. It didn’t seem like they were real careful in their choosing as they seemed to stack the deck against themselves

The challenge was a bit weird but it was nice to see a challenge that wasn’t putting the thinner people in a position of power. It seems that so many of the challenges are physical to the point that those who are the most overweight are the ones that end up losing. Thus, those who need to be there the most often get the short end of the stick and then they usually end up going home soon because of it

I think that Michael had the right plan but boy did it backfire when it turned out that his mother would have to undo all of the ribbon that he had twisted and knotted up and had to do so blindfolded to boot.

It may have backfired against them but I was happy that it did put a wrench in the plans of the red team.

Melissa throwing the weigh in last week irked me but her comment tonight about Michael being 500 pounds was mean. After all, she is overweight too so who is she to be throwing stones?

Speaking of throwing stones? It seems that stones weren’t the only thing that Melissa was throwing. She threw the weigh in this week too. Then she gets mad at Bob and Jillian when they called her on it. Excuse me, does she think that we are all a bunch of IDIOTS here???

We all can see what she is up to and she gets mad because she got called on it?

She is so busy playing the game it makes me sick. There are so many people that want and need to be there to lose weight and here she gets this wonderful opportunity and she is wasting it because of game play?

It seems that her husband is doing what he needs to do to lose the weight but in my opinion, his wife is putting a target on their back by her game play.

Josh feels that way too. Josh and I are in total agreement about wishing that Melissa would go home

Does anyone else feel that way?

I know that Biggest Loser is a reality show, it is a game, BUT, when people are so focused on game play it seems that it is a slap in the face. They were chosen to go on Biggest Loser so that they could lose weight and get healthy but all they care about is the money and they are so obvious about but the think that they are fooling us?

That is the surest way to get me to dislike a player..

So the gray team got immunity and they got to choose a team to switch teacher/student status which then sent the opposite person, in this case Michael, onto the scale with HIS weight being the deciding factor. I understand that they feel that he isn’t working as hard as everyone else but , as someone that roots for the underdog, I would like to play devil’s advocate and remind people that when Bob put on the 330 pounds it was very difficult for him. Michael being the heaviest player, some contestants might not be aware of just how much weight he is carrying around and how hard it is. Remember Ron struggling because of his weight and his health? I am hoping that Michael getting some of this weight off will make it less of a struggle and then maybe he can do more. I would hate to think that someone who so obviously needs the help would waste it by not putting in the effort. I am glad that he is being given the opportunity to prove himself.

As hard as it is for Michael to have his mother go home I am wondering if it might be a blessing in disguise. Michael has been so concerned about his mother that maybe being at the ranch on his own he will be able to concentrate and do what he needs to do for him to lose the weight and get healthy.

Ok, so did you see the preview for next week?

OMG! I cannot wait to see it. Now I know that Biggest Loser likes to fool you by showing things in the preview that makes you think one thing when it might be another totally. So, in looking at the scale it looks like Melissa drops from 212 to 186 which would put her at losing 26 pounds. I find that hard to believe

What do you think?

Who are your favorite contestants? How do you feel about Melissa’s game play?

Right now my favorite teams are Black- they are from Michigan but I would like them even if they weren’t ;0)

I like the white team- Michael needs to lose so much weight or he will only have a few years left.

I like the orange team-Darris has endeared himself to us. He reminds me of Dan from the past 2 seasons and he is even in orange just like Dan :0)

I like most of the other contestants but those are my favorites for right now.

My least favorite contestant? Melissa.

Who would you send home if you had the power to?

I know who I would choose….

Btw, I would like to apologize for not posting like I should and how I want to. Our computer is old and it is EXTREMELY SLOW. It takes me hours to get done what I should be able to do in 30-60 minutes. I wanted to get a new tower- newer and more powerful- but our property taxes were more than I thought that they would be and we still need to come up with over $200 or our place will go up for foreclosure the 1st of March. It seems that life has been handing us a bunch of lemons but we are trying to make lemon-aid.

Biggest Loser Tracey Goes Home

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

What can I say about this week’s Biggest Loser show? For us, it was a dream come true. Believe me, there was a lot of cheering going on here and I am sure, by what I have been seeing and hearing, that the same was true for many other homes as well.

Tracey found a place in our heart when she collapsed the first week before she could even get on the Biggest Loser ranch. We worried about her while she was in the hospital and hoped that Moe could keep them there so that Tracey would have the chance to utilize the Biggest Loser facilities and to gain the necessary knowledge she needed from Bob and Jillian.

If we had known then what we know now we probably wouldn’t have (Ok, we definitely wouldn’t have) been rooting for her so much.

It seemed that right from the moment that Tracey came on the Biggest Loser ranch that she was all about ‘the game’. I understand that, to a certain extent, many people are. But, she was so obvious about it. She lied and she backstabbed people that trusted her.

THAT is what I don’t like. And as soon as Tracey started doing that…..we kicked her right out of that place she had been in inside our heart. Well, maybe not ‘as soon as’ , we did try to give her the benefit of the doubt. After all, maybe it was panic because she wouldn’t be able to exercise like the other contestants were.

But, with one dumb, or mean, move after another we found ourselves beginning to truly dislike Tracey. From everything we have seen and heard, both online and off, it seems that Tracey brought out a lot of anger, and for some it seems she brought out hate, in many people.

The more that we watched Tracey the more it seemed like we had another Vicky on the show. She made us want her to have to go home NOW! But week after week she managed to win challenges and stay above the yellow line. Even when she fell below the yellow line and we were certain that this was our moment, that this was going to be the week that Tracey actually went home… she always managed to stay.

When Tracey fell below the yellow line we were certain that with how she had backstabbed so many people on the Biggest Loser ranch that she would be sent home without hesitation. Yet Liz didn’t follow through on her promise to ‘send Tracey home the first chance she got’ and Moe stepped in and gave up his opportunity to stay on the ranch. We couldn’t believe that Moe took the fall for Tracey.

Well, as the weeks wore on I had nightmares of Tracey being a finalist and actually winning the prize money- UGH… the HORROR! I hate the idea of someone that lies and backstabs winning the money and being someone that people should ‘look up to’

We found ourselves wishing, and praying, that Tracey would go home. In our opinion, there were much more deserving people on the show that were dealing with the issues that got them where they were.

Well, we FINALLY got to see Tracey sent home! Actually, after how Liz didn’t send Tracey packing as she promised, and how she then turned around and became best friends with her, our opinion of Liz became lower and lower. We began wanting Liz to go home nearly as much as Tracey.

So, to have both Liz and Tracey face going home was an unexpected treat after so many weeks of seeing these two still on the ranch while people that we liked were being sent home one after another.

This was, without a doubt, one of our favorite Biggest Loser episodes this season.

How do you feel? Did you like Tracey? Were you happy or sad to see her get sent home?

BTW, after Biggest Loser was done did you happen to catch Tracey on The Jay Leno show? We couldn’t believe how much weight she had lost. Since she didn’t seem to deal with the issues that got her on the Biggest Loser ranch in the first place how did she manage to lose so much weight?

There has been talk that she was using diet pills while on the ranch- why else would she lose so much (enough to stay above the yellow line) when she couldn’t exercise? I can’t imagine that the Biggest Loser would allow that as it is in their rules that you cannot use diet pills. But, it does make me wonder if that could be how she managed to lose so much after she went home. I am not saying she did, I am just saying that it makes me wonder.

And did you notice that she still is all about ‘the game’? When Jay asked her how much she weighs now she wouldn’t tell because she doesn’t want the other contestants to know how much weight she has lost

Sorry Tracey if the truth hurts but I got to say that I am glad you went home. The Biggest Loser ranch is a much better place without people like you there. I also must admit that I am hoping that you don’t win the Biggest Loser at home prize. People that would step on those that they call friends just to get to the top are not people that should be rewarded for it.

Biggest Loser last week and tonight

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

Hi All.

I am sorry that I didn’t post last week. I had every intention of doing so until the last few minutes of Biggest Loser.

I really enjoyed the show and from how everything was going we were so SURE that Tracey was going home.

I don’t know about all of you but Josh and I are fed up with her being all about ‘the game’ and how she has stabbed every one in the back.. but that’s ok because it’s just ‘a game’

It seemed like everything was lining up just perfectly and Tracey was going home. We were laughing and so happy because we were so sure that we had seen the last of her so that the rest of the players could get back to being supportive like they were before she kept pushing ’the game, the game’

Liz was talking about how southern women get even, how she was going to be so nice to Tracey and then send her home first chance she got and she wouldn’t even see it coming.

Then Coach MO spoke up and all of that went right down the drain.

WHAT HAPPENED????

Did everyone conveniently forget how Tracey had stabbed them all in the back?

So anyway, all through Biggest Loser last week everything seemed to be on the right track and we were getting so excited and then…..

They sent Coach MO home :0(

So tonight we sat down to watch Biggest Loser not really sure how things would go.

to be honest we still had hope that maybe the blue team would wake up and see Tracey for what she is and that if they had to send someone home it would be her.

All through the challenge we were rooting for the black team. Sorry Bob, we love you, but we just cannot stand Tracey.

It just seems like Vickey all over again

Does anyone else out there see the similarities?

Vickey made that whole season absolute misery

Is Tracey going to do the same this season? Isn’t she already?

Okay, so the blue team sent the black team home for the week thinking that it would give them the advantage.

So at the weigh-in the blue team went first and I must say that for the fact that the blue team was there at the Biggest Loser ranch all week their numbers were not that impressive.

Then the black team got up to get weighed. Even though they had been home all week we had great hopes for the, From what we had seen it looked like they all did pretty good. They seemed to make good choices and exercised.

Then the numbers that they were putting up weren’t very good. We started to worry that the black team would be sending someone home. Then Danny got up there and pulled off a 15 pound weight loss.

FIFTEEN POUNDS!!!

Dan only had to lose 11 pounds and the black team would be safe.

11 pounds….

We were so sure that Dan had it, that he could do this.

Then the horrifying news that Dan had gained a pound

G A I N E D!

OMG!

of all people Dan gained a pound. we couldn’t believe it. then we were worried that Dan would get sent home. He finally had a break through and might be able to finally deal with the emotional issues that got him where he was when he came on the ranch last season.

Don’t get me wrong, we like Dina too but we really would like to see Dan go to the finale.

So how does everyone else feel about Tracey? How do you like how the show has been the last couple of weeks?

Are we the only ones wanting Tracey to go home? I wouldn’t think so.

Go ahead and leave your comments and let us know what you think about Tracey and the Biggest Loser…

Later

Biggest Loser Season 8

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

Hi All,

First of all I would like to apologize for not having blogged about Biggest Loser in so long. I had every intention of doing wonderful posts about Biggest Loser all summer and I couldn’t wait for the new season to start so I could blog about that.

Well, the best laid plans…. :0(

You see, I had all of these plans but God had other ones for me I guess.

This year has been one of the worst years we have had since my Mom died.

2009 started off badly and it has continued to be that way.

As I mentioned before we found our cousin in a pool of blood dead earlier this year. My friend’s sister died 2 days later. Her mother died shortly after that and then her other sister hung herself last month.

We have lost numerous relatives and family friends this year. I lost my job, gained a new one, have had a lot of health issues and the stress has been unbelievable.

I was hoping that I would make enough money online that I wouldn’t have to work outside the home due to my health issues but that has not been the case. I have taken on some part time jobs that have irritated my health issues but I have been thankful to have what money we have had. Though living on less than $10,000 a year is not easy by a long shot.

Ok, anyway. Enough about all of that. I just wanted you to understand why I haven’t been blogging on here like I had planned. It has been a heck of a year.

But, on to the Biggest Loser…

I CANNOT believe tonight’s show. What is up with Tracey???

I am in shock that she thought that 2 pounds was worth not being trained by Bob and Jillian and I do not believe it was fair of her to take it upon herself to choose that and take away the training from her teammate like that.

Then she got control of the game and almost literally threw everyone under the bus.

THEN when we wanted her to go home so bad that we could practically taste it she puts her team in first place putting 2 other teams in the hot seat.

She lied to people and backstabbed and from the previews for next week she doesn’t seem to ‘get it’

Do we have another ‘Vickey’ on our hands here or what? Hmmmm….

I want to applaud Dan for going to bat for Shay and I REALLY must say that I cried like a baby when Antoine and Sean sacrificed themselves for Shay like that.

I had a feeling that they would but I still was amazed that they actually did it. How humbling that even though they wanted to be there they put Shay, and her health, before their own wants

We saw a lot of emotions on the show tonight which is nothing new for Biggest Loser but it sure did bring out the emotions here. Tracey’s behavior has not won her any fans in this home.

Antoine and Sean should be praised for their sacrifice. You two are AMAZING! It was so wonderful to see the results that you both have had at home. WOW! Over 100 pounds each!!!

Shay? We are so glad that you and Dan will be able to stay on Biggest Loser. I know that you have had a hard life but PLEASE Do NOT Give Up!!! You ARE Worth fighting for. You DESERVE to be happy!!! And last but not least…. You CAN Do This!

Many of us have had hard lives. Josh and I have been through Hell and back. A strong person gets back up and brushes them-self off. For all you have been through You ARE a STRONG Person! Don’t give up now. Wonderful things are just ahead for you if you don’t give up.

As always, Biggest Loser has made me laugh, it has made me cry, I have rejoiced in the progress being made and I have been angry by the behavior of one contestant who needs to stop playing the ’game’ and realize why she is there- to lose weight and to deal with the issues that got her there in the first place.

Yes Tracey lost 11 pounds this week- I don’t know how. Even Tracy didn’t know how. That kind of weight loss won’t continue and it won’t last until she deals with the issues that got her obese in the first place and why she behaves the way that she does.

Can’t wait till next week to see what will happen next

I will try to be better about blogging about Biggest Loser each week. Just please understand that if I don’t it is because of all the chaos in my life right now. Earning enough money to pay the bills, buy food and to have heat during the upcoming Michigan winter is top priority right now.

Donations or your purchasing any Biggest Loser items you see listed on this blog would be greatly appreciated and would help to take the pressure off.

Hope you all are well?

How are your weight loss goals coming?

Whatever happens don’t give up trying to lose the weight….

You CAN Do It!!!
