Ok, so Joe wanted to go home. I understand that they miss their families. At least Jeremy has his head on straight and tried to talk him out of it
Did you know that there are 41,000 chinese restaraunts in the Us? That’s more than McDonald’s, Wendys and Burger King combined? WOW! I had no clue.
Ok, so here we go with a temptation.
Everything looked so good. I can’t imagine being in the room seeing and smelling that food.
Do you feel that an obese person is like an alcoholic? Do you think that they can never eat high calorie foods again or will fall right back into that whole way of eating? Do you think that they only need worry while losing the weight and then should be able to cheat on occasion without too much concern? Or do you think it was ok to eat to win the temptation?
I was surprised that no one on the red team seemed to be tempted
Good thinking on the black team’s part. A 30 calorie fortune cookie wouldn’t do a lot of damage and yet would have a chance of giving them control over the face-off and the 2 pound advantage
Cassandra seemed really happy about winning and she sure didn’t waste any time in picking out who would face off against whom.
Black (weight loss- %) lbs lost vs Red =who won & their weight loss
Emily ( 14lbs-5.30 %) and Roy (19 lbs-6.21%)
Jeremy ( lbs-5.14 %) and Lauren ( lbs-5.28 %)
Joe ( lbs- 6.44 %) and Nancy ( lbs-4.61 %)= Nancy with just 2 lbs
Chism ( lbs-5.54 %) and Kim ( 16 lbs-6.35 %)
Mark ( 17 lbs-5.84 %) and Chris ( lbs- 5.83 %)
Megan ( lbs-4.25 %) and Buddy ( 31 lbs-7.69 %)
Gayle ( lbs-4.35 %) and Kimmy ( lbs- 5.94 %)
Cassandra ( lbs- %)
What do you think of Joe leaving like that? He did leave his team in the lurch and make it that much harder for his team to win the weigh-in.
Yes, he misses his family but is his going home now going to cost them extra years that they might have had?
And when you think about how much the aqua team wants to be there and we have had 2 people leave voluntarily already in week 3?
That’s crazy!
How funny: Bob saying “I knew I’d get that old woman to cuss”
Well, that’s all I have time for today. I wasn’t sure that I would even post what with my Uncle dying but I decided to at least post some. I will try to finish it on Saturday so that we will be all caught up for next week’s Biggest Loser-K?
In the meantime here is something gross.
Take a look:

Click the pic for more info but basically this is processed chicken which is the entire chicken- including the eyeballs which is used in nuggets and processed chicken patties, etc. I am so sick to my stomach over this- EEEEWWWW! YUCK!
Now, from my research it DOES say that they have been doing this sinch the late 1960’s which means that we have probably all ate it and didn’t even know it.
It can be found in things like chicken nuggest, processed chicken patties, hot dogs, bologna, salami, etc.
I also know that we probably all know in that eating these things isn’t healthy anyway but when you are on a low income sometimes they are about the only meat you can afford to eat.
My son and I had just eaten hot dogs days before I read this article and saw this pic. Last night we had hot dogs again- because they are cheap. BUT, I couldn’t eat the same brand I ate the last time we had hot dogs- even though they were on sale for $1 for a package. We ended up getting some that were a manager’s discount for $2 because they were beef. Beef is not processed in this way in the US due to mad cow disease.
I do not know how each individual country processes their meat so if this interests you (or disgusts you) you may want to look into that. I know that we have visitors from all over the world (thank you so much for that
we REALLY appreciate it!) and I would LOVE to be able to tell you all how the meat is processed in YOUR country. BUT, with my Uncle dying and time constraints I just cannot do so at this time.
I AM however trying to find time (hopefully this week yet) to see about getting a petition going to change this process. I do not see why they cannot remove the heads and the internals before processing the meat this way so that we are not getting the disgusting parts in there that some of us (Me included) cannot stomach the idea of eating- even if we already HAVE and just didn’t know it.
I know it may sound silly to some of you that I cannot eat the exact same thing that I ate just a week or two ago but the idea that there are ground up eyeballs and guts (including the bowel) in that meat is just something I can’t stomach.
I am hoping that many of you would be willing to sign a petition to get this policy changed.
I think that having people to clean the chickens before processing would save not having to use unneccessary chemicals that could be causing health issues for many of us and must be costing them money. Use that money to pay people to clean the chickens= healthier meat and more jobs.
They can always use the parts removed for animal feed like they have done for years. The animals won’t know the difference and they eat these parts when they hunt anyway. Also, the price of cat and dog food has risen dramatically in recent years. I wonder how much of this is because of people insisting that the anials get ‘choice’ cuts of meat. My belief is that this has caused the price of not only dog and cat food to rise but our food as well. Only so many animals can be grown in a given year and yet it needs to feed us all. And why shoud WE as humans be forced to eat these parts, if we don’t want to, simply because we cannot afford anything better?
I know that some of you will disagree with me. That’s ok. You can still come here and enjoy My Biggest Loser Blog. As you can see from past posts I very rarely rant about anything other than the Biggest Loser on here. So if you don’t agree about my views on the meat processin you can skip over it and get to what you really want to read. I most likely will only post if and when I get the petition done and a possible update here and there.
As for Biggest Loser? I cannot wait for tonight’s show. It comes on in just over an hour so I am heading home so I will not miss even a teensy weensy second of it like we did a couple of weeks ago due to there being a bad storm. We missed 20 minutes of it-UGH!!! The HORROR!
I am finally recovering though due to the fact that I was finally able to see what we had missed -ahhhhh! The relief! :-))
Enjoy Biggest Loser tonight and I will be talking with you soon.
Hug your loved ones as you never know just how much time you have left with them

Tonight on Biggest Loser I was surprised at how many people did not want to try to win the temptation. Since Michael and Sherry were tied I was a bit shocked that Michael came that close and then gave the game up. Since the candies were only 5 calories each and all he would have needed to eat was few more it was a bit surprising.
Okay, so pink team got the power to control the game. They got to choose who would be the teacher and who would be the student. It didn’t seem like they were real careful in their choosing as they seemed to stack the deck against themselves
The challenge was a bit weird but it was nice to see a challenge that wasn’t putting the thinner people in a position of power. It seems that so many of the challenges are physical to the point that those who are the most overweight are the ones that end up losing. Thus, those who need to be there the most often get the short end of the stick and then they usually end up going home soon because of it
I think that Michael had the right plan but boy did it backfire when it turned out that his mother would have to undo all of the ribbon that he had twisted and knotted up and had to do so blindfolded to boot.
It may have backfired against them but I was happy that it did put a wrench in the plans of the red team.
Melissa throwing the weigh in last week irked me but her comment tonight about Michael being 500 pounds was mean. After all, she is overweight too so who is she to be throwing stones?
Speaking of throwing stones? It seems that stones weren’t the only thing that Melissa was throwing. She threw the weigh in this week too. Then she gets mad at Bob and Jillian when they called her on it. Excuse me, does she think that we are all a bunch of IDIOTS here???
We all can see what she is up to and she gets mad because she got called on it?
She is so busy playing the game it makes me sick. There are so many people that want and need to be there to lose weight and here she gets this wonderful opportunity and she is wasting it because of game play?
It seems that her husband is doing what he needs to do to lose the weight but in my opinion, his wife is putting a target on their back by her game play.
Josh feels that way too. Josh and I are in total agreement about wishing that Melissa would go home
Does anyone else feel that way?
I know that Biggest Loser is a reality show, it is a game, BUT, when people are so focused on game play it seems that it is a slap in the face. They were chosen to go on Biggest Loser so that they could lose weight and get healthy but all they care about is the money and they are so obvious about but the think that they are fooling us?
That is the surest way to get me to dislike a player..
So the gray team got immunity and they got to choose a team to switch teacher/student status which then sent the opposite person, in this case Michael, onto the scale with HIS weight being the deciding factor. I understand that they feel that he isn’t working as hard as everyone else but , as someone that roots for the underdog, I would like to play devil’s advocate and remind people that when Bob put on the 330 pounds it was very difficult for him. Michael being the heaviest player, some contestants might not be aware of just how much weight he is carrying around and how hard it is. Remember Ron struggling because of his weight and his health? I am hoping that Michael getting some of this weight off will make it less of a struggle and then maybe he can do more. I would hate to think that someone who so obviously needs the help would waste it by not putting in the effort. I am glad that he is being given the opportunity to prove himself.
As hard as it is for Michael to have his mother go home I am wondering if it might be a blessing in disguise. Michael has been so concerned about his mother that maybe being at the ranch on his own he will be able to concentrate and do what he needs to do for him to lose the weight and get healthy.
Ok, so did you see the preview for next week?
OMG! I cannot wait to see it. Now I know that Biggest Loser likes to fool you by showing things in the preview that makes you think one thing when it might be another totally. So, in looking at the scale it looks like Melissa drops from 212 to 186 which would put her at losing 26 pounds. I find that hard to believe
What do you think?
Who are your favorite contestants? How do you feel about Melissa’s game play?
Right now my favorite teams are Black- they are from Michigan but I would like them even if they weren’t ;0)
I like the white team- Michael needs to lose so much weight or he will only have a few years left.
I like the orange team-Darris has endeared himself to us. He reminds me of Dan from the past 2 seasons and he is even in orange just like Dan :0)
I like most of the other contestants but those are my favorites for right now.
My least favorite contestant? Melissa.
Who would you send home if you had the power to?
I know who I would choose….
Btw, I would like to apologize for not posting like I should and how I want to. Our computer is old and it is EXTREMELY SLOW. It takes me hours to get done what I should be able to do in 30-60 minutes. I wanted to get a new tower- newer and more powerful- but our property taxes were more than I thought that they would be and we still need to come up with over $200 or our place will go up for foreclosure the 1st of March. It seems that life has been handing us a bunch of lemons but we are trying to make lemon-aid.

What can I say about this week’s Biggest Loser show? For us, it was a dream come true. Believe me, there was a lot of cheering going on here and I am sure, by what I have been seeing and hearing, that the same was true for many other homes as well.
Tracey found a place in our heart when she collapsed the first week before she could even get on the Biggest Loser ranch. We worried about her while she was in the hospital and hoped that Moe could keep them there so that Tracey would have the chance to utilize the Biggest Loser facilities and to gain the necessary knowledge she needed from Bob and Jillian.
If we had known then what we know now we probably wouldn’t have (Ok, we definitely wouldn’t have) been rooting for her so much.
It seemed that right from the moment that Tracey came on the Biggest Loser ranch that she was all about ‘the game’. I understand that, to a certain extent, many people are. But, she was so obvious about it. She lied and she backstabbed people that trusted her.
THAT is what I don’t like. And as soon as Tracey started doing that…..we kicked her right out of that place she had been in inside our heart. Well, maybe not ‘as soon as’ , we did try to give her the benefit of the doubt. After all, maybe it was panic because she wouldn’t be able to exercise like the other contestants were.
But, with one dumb, or mean, move after another we found ourselves beginning to truly dislike Tracey. From everything we have seen and heard, both online and off, it seems that Tracey brought out a lot of anger, and for some it seems she brought out hate, in many people.
The more that we watched Tracey the more it seemed like we had another Vicky on the show. She made us want her to have to go home NOW! But week after week she managed to win challenges and stay above the yellow line. Even when she fell below the yellow line and we were certain that this was our moment, that this was going to be the week that Tracey actually went home… she always managed to stay.
When Tracey fell below the yellow line we were certain that with how she had backstabbed so many people on the Biggest Loser ranch that she would be sent home without hesitation. Yet Liz didn’t follow through on her promise to ’send Tracey home the first chance she got’ and Moe stepped in and gave up his opportunity to stay on the ranch. We couldn’t believe that Moe took the fall for Tracey.
Well, as the weeks wore on I had nightmares of Tracey being a finalist and actually winning the prize money- UGH… the HORROR! I hate the idea of someone that lies and backstabs winning the money and being someone that people should ‘look up to’
We found ourselves wishing, and praying, that Tracey would go home. In our opinion, there were much more deserving people on the show that were dealing with the issues that got them where they were.
Well, we FINALLY got to see Tracey sent home! Actually, after how Liz didn’t send Tracey packing as she promised, and how she then turned around and became best friends with her, our opinion of Liz became lower and lower. We began wanting Liz to go home nearly as much as Tracey.
So, to have both Liz and Tracey face going home was an unexpected treat after so many weeks of seeing these two still on the ranch while people that we liked were being sent home one after another.
This was, without a doubt, one of our favorite Biggest Loser episodes this season.
How do you feel? Did you like Tracey? Were you happy or sad to see her get sent home?
BTW, after Biggest Loser was done did you happen to catch Tracey on The Jay Leno show? We couldn’t believe how much weight she had lost. Since she didn’t seem to deal with the issues that got her on the Biggest Loser ranch in the first place how did she manage to lose so much weight?
There has been talk that she was using diet pills while on the ranch- why else would she lose so much (enough to stay above the yellow line) when she couldn’t exercise? I can’t imagine that the Biggest Loser would allow that as it is in their rules that you cannot use diet pills. But, it does make me wonder if that could be how she managed to lose so much after she went home. I am not saying she did, I am just saying that it makes me wonder.
And did you notice that she still is all about ‘the game’? When Jay asked her how much she weighs now she wouldn’t tell because she doesn’t want the other contestants to know how much weight she has lost
Sorry Tracey if the truth hurts but I got to say that I am glad you went home. The Biggest Loser ranch is a much better place without people like you there. I also must admit that I am hoping that you don’t win the Biggest Loser at home prize. People that would step on those that they call friends just to get to the top are not people that should be rewarded for it.

Hi All.
I am sorry that I didn’t post last week. I had every intention of doing so until the last few minutes of Biggest Loser.
I really enjoyed the show and from how everything was going we were so SURE that Tracey was going home.
I don’t know about all of you but Josh and I are fed up with her being all about ‘the game’ and how she has stabbed every one in the back.. but that’s ok because it’s just ‘a game’
It seemed like everything was lining up just perfectly and Tracey was going home. We were laughing and so happy because we were so sure that we had seen the last of her so that the rest of the players could get back to being supportive like they were before she kept pushing ’the game, the game’
Liz was talking about how southern women get even, how she was going to be so nice to Tracey and then send her home first chance she got and she wouldn’t even see it coming.
Then Coach MO spoke up and all of that went right down the drain.
WHAT HAPPENED????
Did everyone conveniently forget how Tracey had stabbed them all in the back?
So anyway, all through Biggest Loser last week everything seemed to be on the right track and we were getting so excited and then…..
They sent Coach MO home :0(
So tonight we sat down to watch Biggest Loser not really sure how things would go.
to be honest we still had hope that maybe the blue team would wake up and see Tracey for what she is and that if they had to send someone home it would be her.
All through the challenge we were rooting for the black team. Sorry Bob, we love you, but we just cannot stand Tracey.
It just seems like Vickey all over again
Does anyone else out there see the similarities?
Vickey made that whole season absolute misery
Is Tracey going to do the same this season? Isn’t she already?
Okay, so the blue team sent the black team home for the week thinking that it would give them the advantage.
So at the weigh-in the blue team went first and I must say that for the fact that the blue team was there at the Biggest Loser ranch all week their numbers were not that impressive.
Then the black team got up to get weighed. Even though they had been home all week we had great hopes for the, From what we had seen it looked like they all did pretty good. They seemed to make good choices and exercised.
Then the numbers that they were putting up weren’t very good. We started to worry that the black team would be sending someone home. Then Danny got up there and pulled off a 15 pound weight loss.
FIFTEEN POUNDS!!!
Dan only had to lose 11 pounds and the black team would be safe.
11 pounds….
We were so sure that Dan had it, that he could do this.
Then the horrifying news that Dan had gained a pound
G A I N E D!
OMG!
of all people Dan gained a pound. we couldn’t believe it. then we were worried that Dan would get sent home. He finally had a break through and might be able to finally deal with the emotional issues that got him where he was when he came on the ranch last season.
Don’t get me wrong, we like Dina too but we really would like to see Dan go to the finale.
So how does everyone else feel about Tracey? How do you like how the show has been the last couple of weeks?
Are we the only ones wanting Tracey to go home? I wouldn’t think so.
Go ahead and leave your comments and let us know what you think about Tracey and the Biggest Loser…
Later
~Michelle & Josh

Hi All,
First of all I would like to apologize for not having blogged about Biggest Loser in so long. I had every intention of doing wonderful posts about Biggest Loser all summer and I couldn’t wait for the new season to start so I could blog about that.
Well, the best laid plans…. :0(
You see, I had all of these plans but God had other ones for me I guess.
This year has been one of the worst years we have had since my Mom died.
2009 started off badly and it has continued to be that way.
As I mentioned before we found our cousin in a pool of blood dead earlier this year. My friend’s sister died 2 days later. Her mother died shortly after that and then her other sister hung herself last month.
We have lost numerous relatives and family friends this year. I lost my job, gained a new one, have had a lot of health issues and the stress has been unbelievable.
I was hoping that I would make enough money online that I wouldn’t have to work outside the home due to my health issues but that has not been the case. I have taken on some part time jobs that have irritated my health issues but I have been thankful to have what money we have had. Though living on less than $10,000 a year is not easy by a long shot.
Ok, anyway. Enough about all of that. I just wanted you to understand why I haven’t been blogging on here like I had planned. It has been a heck of a year.
But, on to the Biggest Loser…
I CANNOT believe tonight’s show. What is up with Tracey???
I am in shock that she thought that 2 pounds was worth not being trained by Bob and Jillian and I do not believe it was fair of her to take it upon herself to choose that and take away the training from her teammate like that.
Then she got control of the game and almost literally threw everyone under the bus.
THEN when we wanted her to go home so bad that we could practically taste it she puts her team in first place putting 2 other teams in the hot seat.
She lied to people and backstabbed and from the previews for next week she doesn’t seem to ‘get it’
Do we have another ‘Vickey’ on our hands here or what? Hmmmm….
I want to applaud Dan for going to bat for Shay and I REALLY must say that I cried like a baby when Antoine and Sean sacrificed themselves for Shay like that.
I had a feeling that they would but I still was amazed that they actually did it. How humbling that even though they wanted to be there they put Shay, and her health, before their own wants
We saw a lot of emotions on the show tonight which is nothing new for Biggest Loser but it sure did bring out the emotions here. Tracey’s behavior has not won her any fans in this home.
Antoine and Sean should be praised for their sacrifice. You two are AMAZING! It was so wonderful to see the results that you both have had at home. WOW! Over 100 pounds each!!!
Shay? We are so glad that you and Dan will be able to stay on Biggest Loser. I know that you have had a hard life but PLEASE Do NOT Give Up!!! You ARE Worth fighting for. You DESERVE to be happy!!! And last but not least…. You CAN Do This!
Many of us have had hard lives. Josh and I have been through Hell and back. A strong person gets back up and brushes them-self off. For all you have been through You ARE a STRONG Person! Don’t give up now. Wonderful things are just ahead for you if you don’t give up.
As always, Biggest Loser has made me laugh, it has made me cry, I have rejoiced in the progress being made and I have been angry by the behavior of one contestant who needs to stop playing the ’game’ and realize why she is there- to lose weight and to deal with the issues that got her there in the first place.
Yes Tracey lost 11 pounds this week- I don’t know how. Even Tracy didn’t know how. That kind of weight loss won’t continue and it won’t last until she deals with the issues that got her obese in the first place and why she behaves the way that she does.
Can’t wait till next week to see what will happen next
I will try to be better about blogging about Biggest Loser each week. Just please understand that if I don’t it is because of all the chaos in my life right now. Earning enough money to pay the bills, buy food and to have heat during the upcoming Michigan winter is top priority right now.
Donations or your purchasing any Biggest Loser items you see listed on this blog would be greatly appreciated and would help to take the pressure off.
Hope you all are well?
How are your weight loss goals coming?
Whatever happens don’t give up trying to lose the weight….
You CAN Do It!!!

Ever since Filipe had his big blow up at Jillian, about her not training with him that day, we have all wondered if Jillian would be staying on Biggest Loser. We could see how miserable she was.
Then, as I posted about here a while ago, Jillian talked about not being happy on Biggest Loser anymore and that she was thinking of quitting. She was in talks with NBC but it didn’t sound promising.
For weeks all of us huge Biggest Loser fans and those of us that love Jillian and Bob have been wondering if she, if THEY, would be staying on to train future Biggest Loser contestants.
Well, I finally found out and ……
we can all breath a big sigh of relief. From my research I have discovered that Jillian has signed a contract for another 2 years on Biggest Loser and it looks like Bob isn’t going anywhere either.
For those of us that love these 2 trainers, and the fabulous job that they do, this is GREAT news!
So go ahead and enjoy your summer without fear as Jillian, Bob and Biggest Loser are here to stay!!! :0))

OMG! Remember that big blow up on Biggest Loser with Filipe screaming at Jillian and then stomping out? Remember it was because Jillian hadn’t worked out with Filipe that day?
Has anyone wondered why Jillian worked out with everyone else on her team and NOT Filipe? I figured that it was just that she was so busy with the others and Filipe had been doing so well that she ran out of time and didn’t get to him that day.
Well, it seems that there was much more to it than that.
Et online has reported that Filipe Fa accused Jillian of giving her team drugs!
Because of Filipe’s drug accusation an internal drug investigation had to be performed. And because Jillian felt hurt and betrayed she refused to train one-on-one with Filipe.
I don’t blame her one bit. I would feel the same way if someone falsely accused me of something that serious.
Anyway, so when Jillian refused to work out with Filipe he got angry and that is what led up to the big blow up that we saw during Biggest Loser season 7.
Jillian says that she was furious, disgusted and betrayed, It took a week for the drug investigation to take place.
Filipe now says that he never accused Jillian. Executive producer Mark Koops contradicts him. He states, “The accusation came from Filipe.”
Now, Biggest Loser DOES allow multi-vitamins and caffeine supplements to give them energy but those come directly from the medical staff of Biggest Loser and not from Jillian, Bob or Allison.
In the end Jillian was cleared. Filipe now says that he and Jillian have smoothed things over.
Somehow I doubt that. I believe that it was Filipe’s accusation that almost made Jillian quit Biggest Loser.
I knew back when that whole blow up happened that Filipe must have had something to do with Jillian wanting to quit.
Now we know why.
Filipe, I think that you need to do some growing up. You accuse Jillian of something so awful and then you get mad when she doesn’t want to be around you? So then you throw a huge hissy fit and make an a## of yourself on tv for everyone to see?
I do not blame Jillian for being mad, hurt and betrayed. After a serious accusation like that, when it was found to be untrue (which I am NOT surprised) we think that Filipe should have been asked to leave the Biggest Loser ranch.
Like Josh said, if they made him go home then they could have went an extra week without someone else having to go home.
Slander is a very serious issue and Filipe is lucky that Jillian isn’t suing him because of this. For someone in Jillian’s occupation an accusation like this could have ruined her career.
Well Everyone, what do YOU think of this?
What are your thoughts on Filipe’s accusation against Jillian?
What do you think that the Biggest Loser should have done towards Filipe when his accusation was found to be untrue?
Should they have sent him home?
Did they do the right thing?
Let us know what you think by commenting now-thanks! :0)

Okay, Now Josh & I understand where Jillian is coming from and why she said what she said but it seems that she is getting a lot of flak over it from others.
It seems that Jillian was recently interviewed by the New York Post.
Jillian said that the contestants on Biggest Loser are ‘half dead’ and ‘not normal’
So, right away the headlines screamed:
” ‘LOSERS’ DISSED BY TRAINER”
And they went on to say how Jillian was basically putting down the contestants and how everyone thinks that she is so mean to the Biggest Loser contestants.
Jillian explains that these people are 400 pounds and used to sitting on the couch. She has to get tough with them to get them to get up and move.
Like she explains, a ‘normal’ person would be able
to be told to get on the treadmill and run and that they would do it.
BUT, when you are talking about someone that spends a large part of their time eating and being a ‘couch potato’ it doesn’t work like that
When you think about it logically, most people that get to 400 pounds have done so with people around them (for the most part) being kind.
Maybe they have tried and failed at losing weight and people have said ‘that’s ok- you tried’
When you get to the point that these people are I think that many of them need the extra push that Jillian gives them.
Remember, these people go on Biggest Loser KNOWING that this is what Jillian is like and yet many of them choose to have her as their trainer. WHY? Because she gets RESULTS!
Now, Bob does a great job and his team seems to lose a lot of weight. They also seem to quite often do better in the challenges than what Jillian’s team does.
But when it comes to the finale? Jillian wins.
I am not sure, but has Bob won any of the finales?
I cannot remember. I will have to try to find out.
What I DO know is that Jillian’s team has won the last 3 finales at least.
Bob seems to be a bit more laid back.
For some people that works for them as you can see by the fact that his team loses weight.
But, for some people they need the extra push that Jillian gives.
It might not work for everyone but it DOES work!
Take a look at Laura on season 7. She had so much more in her and yet she just didn’t seem to be trying very hard. Jillian pushed- some people thought she went too far by having Laura’s teammates voice who they thought was the weakest person on their team….LAURA!
As mean as some might think that this was, it seemed to be the very thing that Laura needed. Right after this we saw such a change in Laura. She REALLY started to work out and lose weight.
From the start of season 7 on Biggest Loser Tara had been the strong one on the green team and suddenly Laura was not only pulling her own weight but actually giving Tara a run for her money - so to speak :0)
Losing weight is a personal choice and for some that want a gentler approach like Bob’s (though Joelle sure brought out another side to Bob that we hadn’t seen before- didn’t she? :0)lol). If you want, or need a gentler approach then pick Bob as your trainer.
If you know that you are not able to lose weight and make yourself get up and do what you need to do lose that weight then you might benefit more from a stricter approach like Jillian’s.
Maybe Jillian’s way doesn’t always look nice on the surface but Jillian was once overweight and she understands what it is like. She really CARES which is why sometimes she pushes so hard. She wants these people to lose this weight, get healthy and get their life back.
Her and Bob both understand (though sometimes other people don’t) that if these people don’t lose this weight they could die at a young age.
Look at Jillian’s yelling as tough love.
As a parent sometimes you have to put your foot down. It doesn’t mean that you don’t love your child- it is specifically because you DO that you have to do it. But you know that in the long run that by putting your foot down now you will get your point across and teach your child what they need to learn to lead a healthy and productive life.
This is what I see when I see Jillian getting tough with the contestants. Even my son has said that “Jillian pushes them like that precisely BECAUSE she cares”
So, when you see Jillian getting tough with contestants take a moment to realize that she is doing it simply because she cares about them. Sometimes being nice is simply enabling and isn’t helping the person at all.
If her way of getting her team to lose weight REALLY bothers you and you need to lose weight? Then you will know that you need to pick Bob if you go on the show. Then again, things happen for a reason so if you want to pick Bob but end up with Jillian then maybe it is because (even though you don’t know it) THAT is what you need to finally lose the weight.

Tuesday’s Biggest Loser episode should be interesting….
Yes, Tuesday’s Biggest Loser episode should be interesting- course I think that they ALL are! :0) lol But I am an admitted Biggest Loser addict ;0)
This week the contestants get to train their trainers which should be fun. I bet the contestants will make them work just as hard as the trainers have made them work.
Then the contestants will have to run up and down a hill while carrying bags that weigh the amount of weight that they have lost. Sound familiar?
I think that, if nothing else, this is one real eye opener for the contestants to really realize how much weight that they have lost.
Then, the contestants will be seeing the doctor one more time so that they can find out their progress and what their “REAL” age is now as compared with when they first started on the Biggest Loser ranch.
Then, after the weigh in they will eliminate one more contestant and then they all will be heading home until the finale.
Now is the time that I absolutely dread. I LOVE Biggest Loser so much and when we get to this time of year I can’t wait to see the finale and who will win it and yet I dread it because we will then have to wait MONTHS before Biggest Loser will be back on.
I used to dread every finale but after season 6 I found that I was so glad to be done with having to see Vicky, Brady, Heba and Ed that the finale was actually a relief.
Then too, I knew that the new season was starting in a couple of weeks or so and so it was bearable.
But, when faced with actual MONTHS of no Biggest Loser shows I am like a junkie facing withdrawals- EEEEKKK! The HORROR of it!
Good thing that I have been taping and have LOTS of episodes to watch to help to get me through.
Trying to look at the bright side, I might actually watch some of the episodes from season 5 and see Paul & Kelly, Ali, Brittany and the rest of the gang.
Sadly I didn’t start taping until part way through Biggest Loser’s season 5. I wish that I had started taping the show sooner but that should be enough to help me to get through until Fall.
Meanwhile I am busy praying that Jillian Michael’s will stay on at Biggest Loser as because I will be so sad if she isn’t on the show anymore. I love her and Bob both :0)
Btw, did you see Bob on the car commercial during Biggest Loser last week?
Speaking of cars- I finally managed to find the part for my car and was able to get it fixed. I lucked out. I found the part online and they wanted $495 for just the part and it was located in another state.
I kept calling around locally and found the part just 4 miles ( down around the corner) from me and the guy installed the part. The cost? Just $50! YESSSS!!!!! I am so HAPPY! :0)
Ok, well, that’s all for now. Keep checking back as I will be posting more soon.

Biggest Loser’s Kristen Goes Home…
Wow! Where does the time go?
It is hard to believe that Biggest Loser will only be on 2 more weeks and then we are done for another season and will have to wait until Fall to see Biggest Loser again.
Add to that the fact that we might well not be seeing Jillian when Biggest Loser comes back on:0(
I sincerely hope that that is not the case and that Jillian will be right there with Bob pushing the newest contestants to lose weight.
Ok, I’m BAAACCCKKK! :0)lol
Now let’s talk about what has been going on on the Biggest Loser.
Sorry I didn’t post last week. My car broke down and I have been looking all over for a shift stabilizer bar for it. It seems like no one has one. Well, I have had 2 places that said that they did but after going to pick up the part I found out that they only had automatics and thus did NOT have the part I needed. One place was an hour and a half drive one way :0(
Anyway, last week’s Biggest Loser was hard. Laura was not one of my favorites when this season started. But when Jillian asked who the weakest link was and everyone said “Laura” it was like something finally clicked and Laura changed. She started really working out and losing the weight and she changed the way that we felt about her.
Knowing that sending her home was the right thing to do didn’t make it any easier. And then to see how upset Tara was at the begining of this week’s Biggest Loser show brought back the pain of seeing Laura having to be carried up to be weighed and of her team-mates making the hard choice to do the right thing in order for her to heal.
Jillian was right though in saying that everything happens for a reason- I myself have had to remind myself of that fact numerous times lately. By Laura going home Tara was forced to concentrate on Tara. It was difficult for her but this was probably for the best for both of them.
Now, how about that challenge?
I was surprised that Mike fell so quickly but with his fear of heights I guess he just didn’t want to stay up there and lost it on purpose.
I really thought that Ron would have a chance to win this one. With his bad knees he has worked on his upper body strength a lot and that is what this challenge needed.
He was doing so well and then, in the blink of an eye, there he went :0(
Now Filipe wasn’t one of my favorite contestants on Biggest Loser at first. Then he won a spot in my heart but when he had his temper tantrum and went off on Jillian I was completely turned off. SInce then I have seen a lot of attitude and cockiness from Filipe and I just don’t like it.
Tonightm seeing him purposely scaring the girls by making that contraption move when they were so far up in the air and then laughing about it I was REALLY not happy with his childish antics.
So, when he fell off without knocking Tara, Helen or Kristen off my son and I got a good laugh. What goes around, comes around :0)
Kristen seemed so determined. She really seemed focused and I thought for sure that she would either win the $10,000 (or 1 pound weight loss advantage) or she would be one of the remaining 2 up there.
You could tell how upset she was when she fell.
Helen gave Tara a ‘good run for her money’ so to speak :0)lol. I felt bad for her when she tried so hard and really wanted that 1 pound weight loss advantage to help to keep her on the Biggest Loser ranch.
Then Tara won- AGAIN!- but I was happy for her. She did a great job and really when you think about it, how hard was this challenge compared with pulling a car with all that extra weight she had???
This was probably MUCH easier.
Wow! What a weigh-in.
I must confess that after all the childish behaviour and temper tantrums I was really hoping to see Filipe go home tonight. I hate to say it but I would really hate to see someone that acts like that win and be a role model for so many.
If Filipe had been below the yellow line I would have had no problem shoosing who to send home from the Biggest Loser ranch.
I couldn’t believe that Helen had such a small weight loss number and that Kristen had actually GAINED weight. She seemed so stunned. Even Bob seemed at a loss for how that had happened.
I have to wonder if it came down to stress and how they ate while video taping their meals for Bob. To see Ron, Kristen and Filipe divide what should have fed one of them so that it fed all three was NOT enough protein for them with all of the exercising and muscle building that they are doing.
Sometimes stress or the wrong food choices can throw off their weight loss so much.
Anyway, to have the weigh in come down between Helen and Kristen was a really hard choice for me. For the most part, I like them both.
Well, sorry about this but I have to cut this short so I can get ready for work. I will try to add more later when I get back. In the meantime don’t forget to vote the polls and leave some comments. Let me know what you think about what is going on on the Biggest Loser. I haven’t heard any more about if Jillian will stay or go- been too busy tof ind out. Do any of you know if she has decided to stay? Hope so :0)
Later :0)
