Biggest Loser March 8th 2011

Monday, March 7th, 2011

This is what is coming up on Tuesday night’s Biggest Loser this week. Was so sad to see Arthur go home last week but he seems to be doing really well. Happy to see that as we were worried about him going home so soon with so much weight left to lose and how unhealthy he was.

We LOVED Bob’s speach and we were very upset that it seemed like none of the red team ‘got it’ It seems to us like they are so much about game play and ‘Me, Me, Me’.

We thought that it was such a wonderful thing that the parents of the blue team sacrificed their staying on the Biggest Loser Ranch for the kids to have a chance to lose the weight and get healthy.

Red team didn’t agree.

As a parent I have to say that if it were Josh and I and he was that overweight then I would most certainly want him to stay. I love him so why wouldn’t I want the best for him?

I don’t know about you but Josh and I are all for the blue team. There are some that are ok on the red team but as a whole we just prefer the non game playing, do what’s right for the ones that need it the most attitude that the blue team has.

Go BLUE!!! :0)

Can’t wait to see blue kick some red butt again on Tuesday ;0)

BTW, I can see from my surfing throughout Biggest Loser land that we are not the only ones that are quite upset by the red team. I am seeing a lot of people thinking that they were pretty selfish.

Here’s another video for you :0)

Biggest Loser-Migdalia Goes Home

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

Biggest Loser tonight was very good- but then again, when isn’t it? :0)

Ok, believe it or not but we missed the first few minutes- UGH!!! We were at a friends and I kept saying that we HAD to get going.

I don’t think that we missed too much. Anyway, I hope not.

We came in when the contestants were just starting to run the presidential mile to get their cards to try to win immunity.

I felt so bad for Stephanie. She was running around there, passing everyone and she did not get even a single point.

Then the red team- who NO ONE wanted to win- gets 3 points like it is nothing! :0(

I’ll tell you, I have been all over Biggest Loser land here on the internet and I have not seen ANYONE that wants red to win or even anyone who even seems to like them

For all of their protests, they are not fooling anyone. I have seen people calling them liers. I have seen people wanting them to GO HOME a sentiment which I totally agree with

Bob called them on it

Jillian called them on it

It is SO OBVOUS what they have been doing and yet they think that we are all too stupid to figure it out?

It seems awfully funny to me that this week when everyone was calling them on it that Melissa lost 11 pounds?

Josh and I are really hoping that Melissa losing all that weight this week will put her off next week and maybe she will go home.

Red team are making enemies all over the place with all of their gameplay. I think that the other contestants are just fed up with the gameplay and I KNOW that America is fed up with it

The only good thing to come of red winning the opportunity to give out the 3 envelopes was the fact that they gave John, the card about not using the gym which was the best way to turn that around. Since john uses the pool it didn’t really hurt him any

Giving Michael the card that meant he couldn’t vote in the elimination was probably good- I agreed with their reasoning behind it. Though I can’t believe that I would ever agree with anything that Melissa would say

Michael looked pretty good this week. I could tell that he had lost weight but I also thought that he just looked happier. Maybe with the weight that he has lost so far he is feeling better?

Now as far as the 2 pound disadvantage? It wouldn’t have been good for anyone but when they gave it to the green team my first thought was ‘oh GREAT! of all the teams they give it to the team with the anger problems- well they are going to be PISSED!’

True enough they were

I understand it. REALLY I DO but I do not agree with the whole ‘don’t cry in front of anyone’ ‘don’t show your emotions’ I believe that that is exactly why they are where they are as far as their weight and their health.

Ok, so we get to the challenge where the teams had to lift themselves up 120 feet

OMG! Grey just smoked everyone. Though it was a little too close for comfort when it looked like red might win (AGAIN!)

Why is it the ones that no one likes are always winning immunity???

I was so happy that grey won it instead of red.

I agreed with their choosings for sharing phone calls home-other than the red team. Josh was hoping that it might get them to want to go home :0)

John had a nice call and wasn’t his little one cute? I hope his wife is recording all these special moments for John to see for himself when he gets home

So Darus is now in the 200? That is great we are really proud of him.

Michael lost 15 pounds this week? WOW! I guess he showed everyone, without a doubt, that he really DOES want to be there:0)

The weigh in kept us on the edge of our seats. We like almost all of the teams so seeing any of them go home is difficult. The one team we would like to see go home and they keep getting immunity? UGH!

It seemed like everyone did pretty good with their weight loss this week… except for green

I wondered if there would be a knock down drag out fight between green and red during the weigh in.

Did you hear Miggy telling Migdalia not to cry? It seems that whatever progress Jillian makes at trying to get Migdalia work through her feelings the mother (Miggy) undoes

Even though I am sure that Migdalia wanted to see her husband before he left- and I am glad that she was able to- I think that it would have been good if she would have had more time on the biggest Loser ranch

Hopefully Miggy will learn about dealing with her feelings and will share that with Migdalia and her granddaughter so that the women in this family will not continue to shove down their emotions and use food to cope

AHHHH!!!! Did you see the preview for next week? I swear it sounds like they say that ‘He’ is concious. Josh says he doesn’t hear it- do YOU?

We watched the previews about a million times to try to catch that and to try to see who was missing.

I am wondering if it is Michael? Darus? or the husband from the red team? I don’t see any of them there. Now, on a positive note- I am sure that no one died as we would have all heard about it before this but I do wonder who, what, where, when , why? Ok, I will settle for the who. We already know that whoever it is will be going home

On another note, have you ever wondered where Santa goes to vacation after christmas?

Well, Josh and I were in town today and I SWEAR we saw Santa! I guess he vacations here in the thumb of MI :0)lol

Ok, it might not be santa but he looked just like him. I wish we could have gotten a picture :0)

Which team do you want to win?

Biggest Loser-Abbey Goes Home

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

Did you see Biggest Loser Tuesday night? I was glued to the tv- laughing, yelling, wishing a certain 2 people would just ‘Go HOME!’ and crying my eyes out when Abbey…. Well, let’s start at the begining. From the get go when the black team came in from having to send Dina home and Liz made her comment about how it was fake tears and that she hoped that the black team would have to send someone else home this week so that she could see them cry real tears- I was PISSED! I don’t know about you, but I have not really liked Liz since she had the opportunity to send crazy Tracey home and didn’t. All of her talk about getting revenge and sending Tracey home the first chance that she got was just a bunch of talk. Since then it seems like her and Tracey are best buddies. It also seems that Liz is showing a side of her I just don’t like. She has been making comments that make her sound like a very bad sport. I really liked Liz when she first came on the Biggest Loser ranch but in the last few weeks my opinion of her has gone downhill. And Tracey? Well, my opinion of her has been bad since she first set foot on the ranch. When she was on the bus and was running the race for the first challange we liked her. When she collapsed we were very worried about her. Even while she was in the hospital she seemed nice. But since the moment she came to the ranch she has just went NUTS! Ok, tonight’s challenge: When Amanda was taking her turn she was really moving along and I think it is the best she has done on any of the challenges so far. It didn’t look like she had slowed down so I am still wondering why she quit when she did? I have to say that I have a feeling that if Amanda had stayed in it just 5 more minutes that the black team probably would have won. At the rate that she was racking up the points I firmly believe that it would have made a difference Everyone on the black team did pretty well but it seemed that Amanda was the one that really seemed to be racking up the points the fastest. For her size, Shay was really moving. She did much better than I had thought that she would. I am seeing big improvements in Shay in the time that she has been on the Biggest Loser ranch and I must say that she is winning the hearts of many. I feel so bad for her. Having a child myself, I cannot imagine treating my child the way that Shay’s mother treated her. I know that there are many people out there addicted to drugs and that this kind of thing happens far too often but I could never treat a child like that. Shay is so starved for the love that her mother should have given her. She is a wonderful person and for her mother to have not seen that and appreciated it is just such a tragedy. Shay we love you and we can see the bond that has developed between you and Abbey. There is your ‘mother’. Maybe that is why you both ended up on the Biggest Loser ranch- in order to find each other. Abbey has so much love to give and you deserve the love that she has to offer. We hope that you two will continue your friendship long after this season of Biggest Loser is done. Now Dan did a wonderful job- don’t get me wrong. He wanted to win it and he really put his all into it. Dan closed the gap in the points between the teams. For the black team to lose by a mere 3 points was heartbreaking for them. Dan, I am glad that you have realized that your mother’s ‘harping’ on you about your eating was done not to be mean but out of love. I think that this was a big breakthrough for you. A friend of mine had a mother who was obese. Now my friend has a daughter that is overweight and she tends to harp on her about her eating choices. Now since I knew her mom I understand why she does this. She is terribly afraid that her daughter is on the same path. Considering her age, her weight and her eating habits I tend to agree but I also think that sitting her daughter down and explaining why she feels the way that she does might be a better solution. Her daughter never met the grandmother because she died of cancer before Amanda (the grand daughter) was born. Because of this I think that Amanda probably is in much the same situation that Dan was before he realized that his mother was doing this out of love. Anyway, I am trying to be glad for the blue team but it is difficult because of how Tracey and Liz have been. I liked them both when this season of Biggest Loser started but now I find myself comparing them to Vicky and Heba and I just cannot stand the way that they have been behaving. I realize that with any game show that there will be gameplay involved but with Biggest Loser I think that the real reason for being there should be to lose weight and get healthy. The potential prize money should take a backseat. I can understand that as the finale gets closer that gameplay will start to factor in but I think that this season it started WAY TOO SOON with Tracey Now for the challenge, I think that the black team played it smart by combining their efforts against each of the biggest threats first and then working their way on down the line. It sure did pay off too. Ok, now for the weigh-in, does anyone else think that it was a big mistake to waste thier 2 pound advantage on Amanda? Have you noticed that Amanda seems to be the slimmest person on black team and yet she always seems to be taking the easy way out of a lot of the challenges? And who piped up about being the one to get the 2 pound advantage? Amanda. I have to wonder, since she lost the weigh-in even WITH the 2 pound advantage, what would have happened if someone else would have gotten it instead? Would the blue team have been the one to be ‘crying real tears’ as Liz put it? Have you noticed that Danny has gotten immunity in the weigh-in the last 2 weeks? He is worried that because of the friendship of the other black team members that they will send him home the first chance they get. Yet he is the one pulling the highest weight loss numbers. Now on to Abbey. This kind hearted woman has lost so much in her life. I hated to see her go home and yet I had to agree with her that her journey was more about being able to open herself up to love people again. To go through the kind of loss that she did would make it so hard for anyone to want to take a chance of loving people and losing them. I know as we have lost so many family members and friend’s of our family and it is so very hard each and every time. I find it harder and harder to open my heart to people because it hurts so much to lose them What Abbey did for her team was an act of unselfish love. To see that in the face of the blue teams greedy gamery just indeared the black team to my heart even more. It seems that the blue teams’ Tracey and Liz could take a few lessons from the kindness that we have seen shown by the black team members. Not all of the blue team members are the way that Tracey and Liz are but for now I find myself rooting for the black team every time due to Tracey and Liz. Once they are sent home maybe I can again feel joy for the other blue team members when they win a challenge but for now I cannot stand those 2 Vicky/Heba wannabees and will be glad to see them go home. Everyone else seems to be more about being at the Biggest Loser ranch to lose weight and learn about healthy food choices but all I see from them is gameplay. I think that Neil started the whole gameplay thing with his water weight gain a few seasons ago and now it seems that more and more players are there for gameplay. I am tired of the gameplay. Give me contestants like Abbey, Shay, Dan, Danny, Sean, Antoinne, etc. Contestants like them make the world a better place with their kindheartedness. The blue team did help out with the food bank and I liked that. I just cannot stand the way that Tracey and Liz have been acting and the comments that they have made. Anway,we would love to hear comments from you and to know how you feel about Tracey and Liz as well as how you feel about Abbey’s sacrifice for her teammates. BTW, I will be posting more soon. Wondering who the other 12 Biggest Loser alumni are that ran the triathlon? I’ll be telling you. Wondering about Jillian’s new weight loss show and if she is leaving Biggest Loser? I will be poating about that as well. Take care ~Michelle & Josh

Biggest Loser Season 8

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

Well, it is almost here- Biggest Loser season 8 will be starting on September 15th, 2009. For those of us die hard Biggest Loser fans it has been a long time coming :0) For someone who is addicted to the Biggest Loser tv show it has been very hard getting through.

I had planned on re-watching some of the shows from previous seasons during the summer and posting about them but I guess that God, and life, had other plans as we have not had time to watch any of the shows that we have taped. It’s not even completely about being busy, though we really have been, but we have also had a lot of emotional issues to deal with due to the loss of several family members and friends of our family

Anyway on to talking about the new season…

This time around the Biggest Loser will be doing something different. They will not be having couples, as they have so often lately, but will be back to singles. They will be continuing to show

The Biggest Loser will be in 2 hour episodes the same as they have been for the past 3 seasons.

This time around the Biggest Loser researched and studied to see which are America’s fattest cities and the tried to cast in these cities. They also added something in these cities to try to help them to change their ways so that they can lose weight, get healthy and get off the list of America’s fattest cities.

I think that it is great that Biggest Loser is helping so many people to lose weight not only on the ranch but by trying to help get America’s fattest cities off the list.

Biggest Loser is currently casting for season 9 in which they will be going back to the family format. Season 9 will premiere January of 2010

Stay tuned because I will be posting info on the cast for season 8, who they are and a little bit about them

New Biggest Loser Game

Sunday, August 9th, 2009

A lot of us that have had a whole lot of fun playing the Biggest Loser memory game where we matched the different contestants before and after pictures.
Now there is a brand new Biggest Loser game and I must say that I am becoming addicted to it :0)LOL
I have surprisingly managed to handle not being able to watch the Biggest Loser tv show. A big part of the reason why not being able to see Biggest Loser all summer hasn’t been as bad as I had thought that it would be (and as bad as it usually is) is because my mind has been so totally consumed by everything that has been going on around here.
The year started off on a really bad foot and has continued to stay that way for the most part.
I was working for my cousin and found her lying in a pool of blood at the bottom of her stairs. She had fallen down her basement steps and hit her head on the cement floor.
We lost a very good friend, our cousin and my job that day.
Since then we have lost more friends and relatives, I have had health problems and we have had car trouble several times that extended into a much bigger ordeal than we had thought and hoped it would be.

On top of all of that, one of my best friend’s lost her sister just 2 days after we lost our cousin Judy (when I lost my job) and her mom died shortly after that. Her other sister just committed suicide and her nephew was the one to find her. She had hung herself.

Now I am concerned about my friend and her nephew. I am worried that this all might be too much for them. She says that she would never do that. But I still worry. She is like a sister to me and an Aunt to my son.

So, we have been trying to be supportive to help her to get through these tough times.

With all of this that has been going on I hope that you can all understand why I haven’t been blogging as much as I had planned on.

We have several blogs as you can see on our

mepage for Oaks Blogs and right now we are behind on adding new posts because of all that has been going on. We hope everyone will be understanding about it now that you know the reasons why.
So this summer has been a busy and stressful one but recently I saw a tv commercial for the Biggest Loser and since then I have been feeling the effects of having to wait so long to see BL.
So, I decided to do some looking and see what new news I could find about the Biggest Loser and guess what I found?

Yep, you guessed it- a brand new Biggest Loser game.

Seeing how things have been going around here I really was happy to find something that not only will entertain me and get my mind off of all of the sad things but also includes my favorite tv show ‘The Biggest Loser’

The only drawback is the fact that I could see myself becoming addicted to this new Biggest Loser game. When I play and do great I want to try to do better. And when I don’t get a good score then I want to play again so that I can try to get a better score.

I really like this new game. You use your knowledge about which foods are healthy and which foods are unhealthy- but don’t worry- it’s not rocket science ;0)lol

Got you interested? Want to try your hand at it and see how well you do?
You too can play the new Biggest Loser Game.

Biggest Loser Season 8

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

OMG! I just saw the preview for Biggest Loser season 8 and it is going to be GREAT!!!
Remember Dan? The biggest person to ever be on Biggest Loser?
He is coming BACK! :0)
Dan is getting a second chance to be on the Biggest Loser and he has lost 142 pounds so he should have a great chance of seeing this through to the Biggest Loser finale for season 8
I am so glad that they are giving Dan a second chance. He was one of our favorites and he needed to be there so bad. He did good on his own but this is an unbelievable opportunity for the damage that his friend David did by getting them sent home
BTW, there is also going to be a young woman that had her 2 children and her husband die in a car accident. Hers is a very moving story.
I cannot wait to learn more about her and the other Biggest Loser contestants.
Oh, did I forget to mention that Biggest Loser will start their new season on September 15th?
Just over a month to go……
I CAN’T WAIT!!! :0))

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

Well, we knew it was bound to happen. Actually I am surprised that it hasn’t happened long before this.
