Biggest Loser Spoiler March 2010

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

If you don’t want to know any spoilers then don’t read this.

Someone has discovered that if you are very careful in listening in the first hour of the show that you can find clues as to who will be going home that week. For the last 2 weeks they have found mentions in the first hour which later were revealed to be clues as to who actually went home that night.
You might want to try to see if this worksd again this week. I will be keeping my ears open for any such clues
Also, during the Biggest Loser tv show, airing in two weeks on March 30th, we will find that the Teams are DISOLVED and the Eliminated players will be returning to try to win a spot back on the Ranch. I don’t know about you but I think that this should be very interesting, indeed!

Biggest Loser- Sherry Goes Home

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

We find Daris realizing that his mom, Cheryl, was sent home. He seems upset but puts on a smile for everyone.

Josh brings up about how Daris is not letting his feelings out and talking about what is bothering him which is what helped to get him to the size he was when he came on The Biggest Loser ranch.

My feeling is that he had the chance to say goodbye, he KNEW that his mom going home was a possibility and yet he barely looked at her.

This is a far cry from how close they were when they came on the show.

Actually I am seeing changes in several of the blue team members that I don’t like. I do not understand why some people, when they start to lose a lot of weight, change.

Did they use to be like that before they gained the weight?

Or is it all about losing the weight and starting to look good and that it changes them?

You see, when Daris and Cheryl came on the show they were always talking to each other and hugging. I thought that it was great that they had such a good relationship.

Yet when Daris knew that his mom might be the one to go home he acted like he wasn’t even going to say anything to her, he didn’t go give her a hug goodbye and it seemed that when he did say anything he wouldn’t even look at her and he seemed a bit ‘cool’ towards her

I see the same kind of changes in Koli since the teams went to black and blue. He doesn’t seem to talk with Sam anymore despite the fact that he said that their being on different teams wouldn’t change anything that they would still be cousins.

Sam, on the other hand, is the bigger man as far as I am concerned. He praised up Koli’s weight loss when they had the weigh-in. And he said, in a great reminder to all of the contestants, that “THIS is what it’s all about not black or blue”

Anyway, so the contestants had to do a pop challenge and it was trivia about what they have learned since being on the Biggest Loser ranch.

For each correct answer they get a point and the first team to get three points wins.

The prize? A day (and night) at The Four Seasons.

The loser’s have to clean the kitchen and the gym

Now, we love the black team but we know that when teams get a prize like this and they get to do the whole spa thing that it usually shows up badly on the scale come the weigh-in.

So, even though we know that the black team would have loved to go have the day off and get massages (and that they deserved it) we were hoping that they wouldn’t win this challenge..

Cleaning the kitchen and the gym isn’t the most pleasant of tasks but it would give the black team extra workout time -after all cleaning IS exercise :0)

And the most important thing for us is for the black team to win the weigh-in

As much as I don’t like how Michael has been behaving I admire the fact that he left the ranch to be at her side when he found out her health was bad

We hope that she will be ok

The cooking challenge was interesting. To be able to create 3 courses using only 12 ingrediants?

The prize- a 5 POUND Advantage? OOOOHHHH!!!

We were hoping that the black team would win it. We have been hoping that the blue team would have to send someone home. The blue team has such an advantage already so a 5 pound advantage would help to even things up a bit.
I don’t remember the Biggest Loser ever having given a 5 pound advantage before.

If you haven’t already figured it out- we were happy to see the black team win the cooking challenge and get the 5 pound advantage. The weigh-in should be interesting this week

Josh and I realized that we really like when the blue team has to weigh-in first as it makes it so much easier to know how much weight loss to root for as each team member gets weighed. After all, you want them to lose enough to win but not enough to put them at a disadvantage next week

Well, when all was said and done the blue team won again. The black team had a weight loss of 2.5% while the blue team ended up with a 3.11% weight loss.

Even though the blue team has all those big guys that pull big numbers the black team still gave it a great try. They might not win the weigh-ins for losing weight but they sure do win for having heart and not giving up despite the odds.

So, the black team ended up having to send another team member home. It was sad to see Sherry go home but boy did she look great in the update-didn’t she?

I must say that I don’t like how the blue team has been behaving since they went black verses blue and I know that there are others that feel the same way. But, I guess we won’t be having to worry about that for much longer since the teams will be disolved soon.

Well, until next week.
Later :0)

What Happened to Michael?

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Well, Mellisa FINALLY went home and we didn’t even get a chance to really enjoy it because we right away had to worry about who was going to lose the challenge and would be sent home AND because of the Olympics being on we wait to an eternity to see who was going to win- Darrell or Cheryl?
Though I must say that there was a whole LOT of screaming and cheering going on here. I imagine that it was the same all over the US (and beyond?). We have seen that people all over Biggest Loser land have not liked Melissa, have not believed her lies and have been wishing that she would go home.
Melissa follows in the path of other former Biggest Loser villians (though she seemed to put people off more with her lies than anything else). Like Vicky and Tracy before her Mellisa has brought together people from all walks of life in the common goal (wish, hope, dream?) that she be sent home asap :0)
It is such a powerful moment when someone that you cannot stand gets sent home. You cheer, you scream, jump up and down & you feel SO happy. No matter what may be going on in your life at that time- In that moment life is GOOD!
If only we could bottle that emotion to use during rough times, huh? :0)
Anyway, we had to wait far too long but biggest Loser was back tonight and we finally found out who won the challenge between Darrell and Cheryl.
You could see the agony in Darrell’s face and Cheryl seemed so focused like she is ready to do this all night if need be.
It was hard to tell which one was going to win. It came down between Cheryl’s torch being cockeyed and looking like it was going to slip any time or Darrell’s bad knees giving out.
We like both of these contestants so we were hard pressed deciding who to root for but being that Darrell is a fellow Michigander we were rooting for him to win. Besides, Cheryl has lost quite a bit of weight and she doesn’t really have that far to go. At this point we figure that she could do this on her own at home.
Just after Alli timed them at 9 minutes Darrell’s torch fell.
We were sad to see that Darrell’s knees were his ‘achilles heel’ so to speak. Sorry to see him go home but for as bad as his knees are, and how much trouble he was having, he sure gave it all he had.
You may have lost the challenge Darrell but you are a winner in our book. You did what you had to to change your life to lose the weight and you kept fighting to be there at the Biggest Loser ranch right to the end. You did it all without the backstabbing and lies that some other contestants think that they need to engage in to stay on the ranch. It would be nice if all the Biggest Loser contestants would be like that. But, then there would be no drama and I know that there are some of you that LOVE the drama ;0)
Ok, speaking of drama….
What in the name of all that is Holy has happened to Michael? We used to love Michael but tonight we saw a whole ‘nother side of him and I must say that it is one that we don’t like.
It all seemed to have started off with the challenge during which only Michael and Andrea volunteered for. It seems that whenever there is a challenge that gives one person immense power that they change and turn into a control hungry monster.
During the challenge itself Michael took it all in stride whenever he had to eat something and Andrea was sure ahead of the game there. She kept finding more and more matches so that Michael was having to eat all kinds of ‘goodies’
It is funny how the Biggest Loser contestants always seem to find that when they have to eat the things that they so enjoyed, the things that got them where they were when they got to the ranch, that they no longer enjoy them like they did.
Anyway, it seemed like Andrea was winning since she did not have to eat anywhere near the calories that Michael did. And then it happened…
Michael found both sides to the golden ticket and he got the POWER!
Michael got the power to choose teams.
Believe me, I understand wanting to win and finally being able to do something for yourself instead of always putting others ahead of your wants and needs.
BUT, there comes a point and time where you can go too far and I believe that Michael went screeching past that line tonight
He doesn’t want to be malicious? He wants to be fair?
Ashley got it right when she said that she had a bad feeling about how Michael would handle the power and choose the teams
Splitting up teams, pitting mother & son as well as cousins against each other; so completely stacking the deck against the other team…well it just isn’t right.
He talked with Andrea and knew she wanted Bob for her trainer and so he put her on Jillian’s
He totally stacked the deck and boy was Jillian upset
Michael also made some comments that just solidified my feelings for him now. I cannot remember exactly what they are at this time but with his actions and words tonight Michael is no longer (at least at this time) on my list of people that I would like to see win Biggest Loser Season 9.
Okay, since I couldn’t remember what exactly he said I am now watching it again to see if I can catch it.

Here are some of them….

‘I didn’t make the game Jillian so don’t make me the bad guy”
“Would it be better if I chose the teams to be fair and I get sent home. Would that be fair Jillian?” -it was more HOW he said this than what he said
“You don’t put up a good weight then you are going, you are no use to me” He said that to Miggy HIS so called BEST FRIEND!

Up till now I haven’t thought too much about Sam. Nothing against him. I liked him but he wasn’t one of my absolute favorites. He sort of blended into the background- if you know what I mean. He was quiet and maybe a bit shy.
But, with these changes I am seeing a new side of Sam and I really LIKE him now. Funny how Michael was one of my favorites and now in a twist of fate he is on my SH** list and Sam has jumped onto my one of my favorites
I like how Ashley said that the blue team might have more weight and more muscle but the black team has more heart
You Go ASHLEY! :0)

As this show played out I found that I started disliking more of the blue team because of their attitude and things that they said.
You know, for how much ‘stronger’ the blue team is the black team was staying with them pretty good through the whole challenge. I was really hoping that they would get their team banner up before blue team. I was sad when they didn’t but then I realized that winning the weigh-in is more important.
Then, during the weigh-in, I was thinking that through and realized thatlosing the weigh-in may have actually been the best way to go right now. They could have sent Cheryl home- I love her but she is closest to her goal
Then they would have gotten O’neal. But then again, with his bad knees maybe that wouldn’t have been best
What do you think?
And Sam? How great that through his own pain he tries to comfort and boost the morale of his teammates? You Go SAM! What a guy! You have grown so much since you have been there

O’ Neal lost 9 pounds 2.77%
Micheal lost 15 pounds (109 in 7 weeks) .85%
Sunshine lost 7 pounds
Lance lost 5 pounds
Miggy lost 4 pounds
Darris lost 7 pounds
Koli lost 10 pounds
Total lost 48 pounds 2.7%

Black team needs to lose more than 39 pounds
Andrea lost 5 pounds .34%
Cheryl lost 4 pounds .28%
Sherry lost 6 pounds
Sam lost 8 pounds
Stephanie lost 8 pounds
Ashley lost 10 pounds You Go ASHLEY!!!
Total lost 41 pounds! OOOOHOOOO!!!!

The only positive thing that I can say about Michael this week is that he didn’t write down Miggy’s name. So maybe he has some loyalty after all.
I was sad to see Miggy go home. She has changed so much since she came on Biggest Loser. But boy is she looking GOOD! She looks so much more relaxed and happy- she even looks younger.
It was nice seeing Nicole again- looking good Nicole! :0)
WOW! Darrell, you are looking great!
He has lost 120 pounds and is able to wear the jacket he wore when he met his wife 27 years ago.

Melissa Goes Home!

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

2-9-10
The players went to the Olympic Training Center where they found out that they were no longer teams but they were now competing as individuals
While at the Olympic Training Center the players had a pop challenge. They had to slide, side to side, on a slide board. The first one to 500 points wins. Now I have been on a slide boar and it isn’t as easy as some people might think. Those who master it can make it look very easy
There were to be 3 winners of this challenge and no one would know what the prizes were until we knew who the winners were.
Melissa was in the lead with Sam right behind her which meant that there was a while lot of screaming going on here for Sam to win. There was no way that we wanted Melissa to win no matter what the prize was and especially if it might be immunity.
Right at a most inopportune time for Mellisa, but makes me wonder if karma had a hand in it, Mellias fell and Sam gobbled up her lead and won YEHHHH!!!!!! :0)
Sam won the Gold, Mellisa won Silver and Sunshine won the Bronze
At the Garden of the Gods the players found out about their next challenge.
The players had to run after BB guns, then when they get ahold of them, they had to shoot marked targets that had other players’ names on them. Then when a player’s target was hit five times, they were eliminated. Bit before the game started, Ali told the winners from the pop challenge what their advantage was. Sunshine got to choose one target to automatically hit, Melissa got to choose two targets, & then Sam got to choose three targets
So we found out that Sunshine and Melissa each used their free target shot on Sam and the he used oneof his free target shots on Sunshine and the other two on Melissa. Ali then tells the players that they are playing for immunity this week and the fun starts.
Players are getting picked off by fellow teammates one by one.In the end the challenge comes down between Darrell and O’Neal and it’s O’Neal who wins the immunity.
Being a Michigander I was rooting for Darrell to win this but I didn’t mind over much that O’Neal won it- though it would have been nice to have a fellow Michigander win immunity :0)
Now it is time for the weigh-in. Everyone is shocked when the scale shows that Melissa has gained a pound-putting her below the red line. Lance got tears in his eyes because he knew that this meant that Mellisa would automatically be going home.
Meanwhile here there was a whole bunch of cheering and screaming going on.
We have been wanting Mellisa to go home for some time now and have seen many others all over the net wanting the same thing. Seems Mellisa wasn’t fooling as many people as she thought that she was.
Then instead of having the weekly elimination they had the two players that fell below the yellow line have to participate in a challenge. Darrell and Cheryl each have to balance a lit torch stem on their head and the player who manages to balance their torch the longest gets to stay on the ranch. But, they make us wait to find out who wins the challenge.
We had to wait until after the Olympics to find out who would win the challenge and who ended up having to go home.

We Are BACK!

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

We Are BACK!
WOW! I cannot believe it. After weeks of being unable to access My Boggest Loser Blog, despite being able to access nearly all other areas of our website, we are finally able to access My Biggest Loser Blog to try to catch up on what has been going on
Let’s see….
2-2-10
When we last posted Migdalia had just left the Biggest Loser ranch
Her mother, Miggy, was understandably upset to see her daighter go home. That night Miggy started to have terrible abdominal pain and had to be rushed to the hospital. She underwent emergency surgery
In the meantime the blue and yellow teams, that had been sent home at the begining of Biggest Loser season 9, arrived back at the ranch.
Cherita and Victoria were the first to step on the scale to see which team has the most weight lost in order to win the chance of staying on the Biggest Loser ranch
The mother and daughter (blue team) had lost 9.92% which mean that Sunshine and O’Neil would need to lose 65 pounds in order to be the winning team that gets to stay on the ranch
They lost 76 pounds.
We were sad to see the blue team go home. We liked both teams and it was sad to have to see either team have to go home after 2 such short stays on the ranch. Even though they had lost enough weight that you know that they CAN do this at home it was still sad that we won’t get the chance to get to know them better.
While the others were working out, Bob took Melissa aside and had a talk with her. He told her that even though she had made many enemies on the ranch that she had won his respect when she had lost 11 pounds last week.
I love Bob and Jillian and I know that Bob is smart so I have to wonder if it was just the peacekeeper in him that made him say that? Sometimes it seems that Bob and Jillian do their own version of good cop/bad cop or should I say good trainer/bad trainer? :0)lol
This weeks challenge was hitting their blocking pads back and forth 1,000 times.
Right away it seemed like Michael hit on the right rhythym and he was adding up hits at an amazing rate.
Go Micheal!
It came down between Michael and Sam and Michael won by just seconds. Michael surprised everyone-himself included I think- and he won immunity
Unfortunately Sherry came in last and the pink team ended up with a 2 pound disadvantage
That night Miggy came back to the ranch. She told everyone that she had her appendiz removed as well as a mass and a cyst. She seemed to be a different person making me wonder if she has been in pain for some time now and that is why she always seemed so cranky. She now is a whole new, happier person :0)
At the weigh-in we all expected John to have some good numbers. Sadly he didn’t. He fell below the dreaded yellow line and was automatically eliminated.
You know, there are some contestants you like right off and others grow on you. John was one of those that grew on us and by the time he left we really liked him and hated to see him go

Biggest Loser-Maria Goes Home

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

Tonight on Biggest Loser I was surprised at how many people did not want to try to win the temptation. Since Michael and Sherry were tied I was a bit shocked that Michael came that close and then gave the game up. Since the candies were only 5 calories each and all he would have needed to eat was few more it was a bit surprising.

Okay, so pink team got the power to control the game. They got to choose who would be the teacher and who would be the student. It didn’t seem like they were real careful in their choosing as they seemed to stack the deck against themselves

The challenge was a bit weird but it was nice to see a challenge that wasn’t putting the thinner people in a position of power. It seems that so many of the challenges are physical to the point that those who are the most overweight are the ones that end up losing. Thus, those who need to be there the most often get the short end of the stick and then they usually end up going home soon because of it

I think that Michael had the right plan but boy did it backfire when it turned out that his mother would have to undo all of the ribbon that he had twisted and knotted up and had to do so blindfolded to boot.

It may have backfired against them but I was happy that it did put a wrench in the plans of the red team.

Melissa throwing the weigh in last week irked me but her comment tonight about Michael being 500 pounds was mean. After all, she is overweight too so who is she to be throwing stones?

Speaking of throwing stones? It seems that stones weren’t the only thing that Melissa was throwing. She threw the weigh in this week too. Then she gets mad at Bob and Jillian when they called her on it. Excuse me, does she think that we are all a bunch of IDIOTS here???

We all can see what she is up to and she gets mad because she got called on it?

She is so busy playing the game it makes me sick. There are so many people that want and need to be there to lose weight and here she gets this wonderful opportunity and she is wasting it because of game play?

It seems that her husband is doing what he needs to do to lose the weight but in my opinion, his wife is putting a target on their back by her game play.

Josh feels that way too. Josh and I are in total agreement about wishing that Melissa would go home

Does anyone else feel that way?

I know that Biggest Loser is a reality show, it is a game, BUT, when people are so focused on game play it seems that it is a slap in the face. They were chosen to go on Biggest Loser so that they could lose weight and get healthy but all they care about is the money and they are so obvious about but the think that they are fooling us?

That is the surest way to get me to dislike a player..

So the gray team got immunity and they got to choose a team to switch teacher/student status which then sent the opposite person, in this case Michael, onto the scale with HIS weight being the deciding factor. I understand that they feel that he isn’t working as hard as everyone else but , as someone that roots for the underdog, I would like to play devil’s advocate and remind people that when Bob put on the 330 pounds it was very difficult for him. Michael being the heaviest player, some contestants might not be aware of just how much weight he is carrying around and how hard it is. Remember Ron struggling because of his weight and his health? I am hoping that Michael getting some of this weight off will make it less of a struggle and then maybe he can do more. I would hate to think that someone who so obviously needs the help would waste it by not putting in the effort. I am glad that he is being given the opportunity to prove himself.

As hard as it is for Michael to have his mother go home I am wondering if it might be a blessing in disguise. Michael has been so concerned about his mother that maybe being at the ranch on his own he will be able to concentrate and do what he needs to do for him to lose the weight and get healthy.

Ok, so did you see the preview for next week?

OMG! I cannot wait to see it. Now I know that Biggest Loser likes to fool you by showing things in the preview that makes you think one thing when it might be another totally. So, in looking at the scale it looks like Melissa drops from 212 to 186 which would put her at losing 26 pounds. I find that hard to believe

What do you think?

Who are your favorite contestants? How do you feel about Melissa’s game play?

Right now my favorite teams are Black- they are from Michigan but I would like them even if they weren’t ;0)

I like the white team- Michael needs to lose so much weight or he will only have a few years left.

I like the orange team-Darris has endeared himself to us. He reminds me of Dan from the past 2 seasons and he is even in orange just like Dan :0)

I like most of the other contestants but those are my favorites for right now.

My least favorite contestant? Melissa.

Who would you send home if you had the power to?

I know who I would choose….

Btw, I would like to apologize for not posting like I should and how I want to. Our computer is old and it is EXTREMELY SLOW. It takes me hours to get done what I should be able to do in 30-60 minutes. I wanted to get a new tower- newer and more powerful- but our property taxes were more than I thought that they would be and we still need to come up with over $200 or our place will go up for foreclosure the 1st of March. It seems that life has been handing us a bunch of lemons but we are trying to make lemon-aid.
