Biggest Loser Season 14 Finale

OMG, Jackson walked out onstage and I was shocked. He is sooooo thin. You know, when it comes to the Biggest Loser finale you expect to see some dramatic results but Jackson had already lost over 100 pounds before leaving the ranch and he still managed to make us say “WOW!”

Josh said, “He could have it right now.

Joe

Jackson won the opportunity to compete for the title of the Biggest Loser

Lindsey lost 47 lbs she runs a mile in 9 ½ minutes

Pam 237-166=71   29.6%

Nate 359-99-260    27.58%

Bingo has grown 2 inches since he started on the Biggest Loser and he has lost 43 pounds. His family has lost over 200 pounds as a family.

Danni 258-137=121

Jeff 388-207=181  46.65%

Jackson 328-190=138 42.07%

Pink strikes again

Sunny has lost 51 pounds. She is down 4 dress sizes

They went to commercial and there was Dolvett advertising Dr Scholl’s and talking about sport’s injuries. I threw in my current injury “Firewood knee” but Josh say’s that doesn’t count.

You see, we were working on firewood over the weekend and I had a stack start to fall and got hit right in the kneecap on one leg and my shin on the other.

The kneecap was the worst.

So, is Josh right? Is stacking firewood and getting hit in the kneecap not a sport’s injury? If not, it should be JLOL

WOW!!! Everyone looked so amazing- didn’t they?

And Danni? She looks so skinny and so very happy. She is such a different Danni than the one that we met a few months ago.

And the results are………………

Danni WON! YEAH!

We are so happy for her.

This was such a wonderful season of Biggest Loser! We cannot wait until the next season and hope that it is just as great J

Biggest Loser Season 14 Week 11

March 12th, 2013

This is the final episode with the contestants on the Biggest Loser ranch.

Next time we see them all it will be the finale. It is hard to believe that this season has gone by so fast. But, between it being one of the shortest seasons and how great this season has been has made this season of Biggest Loser virtually fly by.

The contestants on the Biggest Loser have been some of the best contestants. We have loved how there has not been all of the game-play this season such as we have seen in some of the more recent seasons of the Biggest Loser.

I would like to apologize for not having kept the blog up the way I used to and the way I wanted/had planned to. I start out with my notepad handy but I get so sucked into the Biggest Loser that I forget to blog. I have bits and pieces, little snippets of what happened each episode that I am working on and will add here as I finish them

Ok, since coming on the Biggest Loser ranch:

Danni has gained 19 lbs muscle while losing 84 pounds

Jackson has lost 93 pounds

Joe has lost 124 pounds

Jeff has lost  pounds

Gina has lost 82 pounds

While exercising Gina lets out a cry of pain and says “My foot snapped”

So, with a foot injury Gina is not able to put in her all for the last week of the contestants being on the biggest Loser ranch which could be why Gina was the one with the lowest weight loss and she ended up going home so close to being in the final three and yet one moment took her chance away.

The kids get an update on their progress and everyone has had tremendous improvements both physically and emotionally.

Lindsey doesn’t have pre diabetes anymore

Bingo has gone from the purple (HIGH) fat percentage down to yellow. He has lost 25% of his body weight. His mom has lost 5 dress sizes since Bingo started at the Biggest Loser house.

The adult contestants then got to see their videos showing how far that they have come since starting on the Biggest Loser ranch.

Dolvett and Jackson got quit a laugh over Jackson talking about how if he had thrown up in the bubble gum pit he never would have heard the end of it

Then, everyone puts back on the weight that they lost so that they will be reminded what it was like. The first contestant to the finish line will win a 1 lb advantage

Danni and Joe are neck and neck coming upon the finish line and I was screaming for Danni to win the 1 pound advantage. She didn’t get it but she sure the heck didn’t need it either :-)

Joe was in 1st place

Danni 2nd

Jackson 3rd

Jeff  4th

Gina 5th

Last, last chance workout.

I am sad and so happy for them all at the same time. I am sad to see such a great season of the Biggest Loser coming to a close and yet I am so happy for each contestant and how far they have come.

Joe 244-5=239

Jackson 235-5=230

Gina 163-2=161

Jeff  276-11=  265       3.99%

Danni 174-11=163      6.32%

Danni and Jeff assured themselves spots in the finale next week. But, who will be the third finalist? That’s up to you Biggest Loser fans. You need to go and vote for either Jackson or Joe.

I see many are talking about voting for Jackson who is a favorite among many. Who are you voting for?

Biggest Loser Season 14 Week 1

January 18th, 2013

Biggest Loser opens with a large audience watching Allison onstage. I wondered if the contestants were in the audience unaware that they were about to be called onstage and I was right.

The excitement of everyone was amazing. We were so happy that Biggest Loser is BACK! J And from the sounds of things that seems to be feeling the same way.

America’s favorite trainer is back  and she seems tougher than ever if tonight is any indication.

Ok, Jillian is back and yes, she now has two kids. One ( a 2 year old girl- Lukensia) is adopted and the other (a baby boy) is with Jillians partner Heidi Rhoades . Ironically, Heidi Rhoades  gave birth to the boy ( who Jillian and Heidi named Phoenix) the same week that the adoption of their daughter went through.

And the reason I say she seems tougher than ever is that I don’t remember Jillian pushing so much about ‘there’s the door if you want to leave go ahead’ I seem to remember her saying it some but tonight it seemed like she kept saying it.

During the first part of The Biggest Loser‘s Season 14 tonight three of Jillian’s five teammates collapsed while working out and one actually walked off and quit for good.

WHAT!?

Yep, Jillian started with 5 and is already down to 4 contestants on her team

Nicole “Nikki” Davis, a 26-year-old make-up artist from California said “This is far more emotional than I could have ever imagined”

While working out Nikki broke down and she admitted that she just wasn’t ready to change. She left stating that she was going to see a counselor and work on herself.

It’s great that she is doing that but we hated to see her go.

Josh and I feel that if someone walks off the show that they really shouldn’t send anyone home that week. Or, if someone wants to leave that bad they should throw the weigh-in and get sent home so no one that wants to stay there will be sent home.

What do you all think about that? Do you feel the same way?

In an interview with The Examiner Jillian Michaels stated “The reality of it is that there are people who are not ready for the process, and I tend to find that when they are not ready, it’s far more damaging than positive to push them. So I never really got anywhere with her — never even got to engage in any in-depth conversation”

I do think that tonight’s episode will help to show people that it’s not just about the weight and getting healthy on the outside, you have to work on those demons that got you to gain weight in the first place and if you are not ready to do that then don’t apply to be on The Biggest Loser until you are. It’s not a magic bullet that you go on there and lose the weight and no longer have the issues that got you to be overweight in the first place.

Maybe now people will realize this and we won’t have the walk offs that we have been having in more recent seasons.

Jillian continued her interview with saying “We know she has a very dark past, and I personally don’t feel qualified to have handled Nikki’s situation. And I don’t feel The Biggest Loser was the place she needed to undergo the things she needs to get better.”

It’s important for the Biggest Loser viewers to try to remember not to judge the contestants that quit. A lot of the time they realize that they aren’t ready for the emotional pain that they will need to deal with and decide to wait until they are ready.

It’s hard for them to walk off and it’s hard for the viewers because we meet contestants and would like to get to know them better.

I liked it when Cate said “being healthy isn’t a chore. it’s a gift.” It’s a nice way to look at it don’t you think?

It is different with the kids on the Biggest Loser this season but I like it and I think that they chose well with the three kids that they have on the show. Unless something changes I REALLY like all three kids and wish them the best

In an interview, about the new season of The Biggest Loser,  Bob Harper said “With the kids, we wanted to do exactly the opposite of when we work with the adults,” “We do no breaking down, just lifting up … It’s about getting kids to move around again and getting kids to be kids.”

That’s as it should be. The kids should be lifted up as so far life seems to be breaking them down enough.

White –Jillian’s team

TC   376-15=361

Pam 237-10=227

Nathan 359-20=339

Danni 258-19=239

Red –Dolvett’s team

Lisa 246-16=230

Jackson328-22=306

Francelina 267-19=248

Cate 237-12=225

Joe 364-26=338

Blue –Bob’s team

Jeff  388-29=359

Michael 444-21=423

David  307-20-287

Alex 240-9=231

Gina 245-15=230

During the weigh-in Jillian’s team lost another member  and now they are down to just three.  TC – a 30-year-old father of 3 – was automatically eliminated because he was the one to lose the lowest percentage of his body weight. He lost by just 1 pound. But we saw that TC is doing well at home and he was racing around having a great time with his children. He has lost 41 pounds and still losing weight.

Good for him! J

Btw, I see that a LOT of people are upset with how Jillian bullied her contestants last night. I can only hope that things will improve after she gets used to being on the Biggest Loser ranch again.

The way it stands right now I am seeing that some people are sorry that she came back.

What do you think?

Btw, I’d like to apologise for it taking so long to get these posted. I have been sick. I am still not 100% well but am trying to get caught up. Please have patience and I will get them on here the best that I can :-)

Biggest Loser Season 14 Debuts January 6th 2013

January 7th, 2013

A much anticipated, and long overdue, Biggest Loser Season 14 debuts this Sunday and Monday nights (Jan. 6 and 7). The Biggest Loser producers have completely revamped the show.

This season we will see the return of Jillian, Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince are back too.

Three trainers, three teams AND three teens.

Lindsay Bravo is 13, Noah ‘Bingo’ Gray is 13 and Sanjana ‘Sunny’ Chandrasekar is 16 years old.

Lindsay began gaining weight after her parents’ divorce.

Bingo began to put on weight when his family moved to a different state after his father accepted a new job.

Sunny was born inIndiaand has moved multiple times in her young life. “I was always ‘the new kid’ and I would be really lonely a lot of the time and would turn to food” she says.

These three teens are a good representation of the average teens and how they turn to food for comfort just the same as many adults do.

As The Biggest Loser has helped so many adults over the years ( and will continue to do so for many, many more) we hope that this season will inspire many teens and kids (as well as adults) to get up off the couch, get more active and eat healthier.

Now, I’d like to say something here on more of a personal note. The beginning of December 2012 someone that we have known for years was at the doctor’s office and she had a heart attack. They didn’t have a defibrillator. She died. She has been overweight for years, had a high stress job as a nurse and didn’t eat healthy.

She was 45 years old. Her oldest kids, twins, just turned 18 only weeks before she died and her youngest was looking forward to his 9th birthday and Christmas. She left behind 5 kids and a husband. All are devastated by her loss and what gets me is that it didn’t have to happen.

This is the very real reality for so many people these days

So people please listen when I say that you need to take care of yourself. If you don’t do it no one else will. And if you don’t take care of yourself you can’t be here for those that love you.

I am not saying that you all need to drop everything and workout for 8 hours a day. Simply cutting out some junk food and replacing it with some healthier food choices and making some effort to move around more each day can help many of you.

Small steps are easier to make a life habit that you can stick with. Then just keep adding more changes. Walk a little more, ride your bike, eat more vegetables, etc.

Maybe some of you need more intense changes than this but a thousand mile journey starts with a single step. Every little change you make will take you that much closer to your fitness goals but if you don’t do anything then your life won’t change and the only thing that will happen is that you will have less and less time to spend with your loved ones.

As for Biggest Loser Season 14 we will be seeing it on Monday nights at8pminstead of the usual Biggest Loser Tuesdays that we are used to.

We are hoping that this is just temporary and that we will be seeing The Biggest Loser going back to it’s usual spot Tuesday nights before Parenthood.

It seems like this season will be a shorter than usual season too as the Season 14 Finale is slated to be on March 18th 2013

In a Biggest Loser video, Jillian says that ‘for the first time kids have a lower life expectancy than their parents’ which is really sad when you think about it. As parents we all want better for our kids and yet so many kids will die before their parents.

So this is why Jillian has decided to come back to the Biggest Loser for Season 14 (and hopefully will stay on for upcoming seasons. Being a new mom she wants to help these three teens, and other kids, to learn to live healthier lives.

So this season looks to be a great one and we are looking forward to it

Biggest Loser Renewed Season 14 BUT…

May 15th, 2012

Yes, Biggest Loser has been renewed for season 14 but in looking at NBC’s fall schedule I am not seeing it listed in it’s Tuesday night slot or anywhere else for that matter.

It might be that after the debacle of last season they are picking their contestants more carefully and seeing how some people didn’t like Dolvett I wonder if he will return for season 14?

Not saying either way, just saying I am wondering.

In the meantime to try to keep Biggest Loser in the 2 hour time format that we love, and to keep it on Tuesday nights, I have posted on NBC’S FB page and the Biggest Loser letting them know this is what we want.

I would suggest that you all do the same as we all know what happens to tv shows once they start moving them around. Viewers drop off (who the heck knows where it is this week?) and then the show gets cancelled for not having enough people watching them.

So, contact NBC, Biggest Loser and their FB pages too and let them know to keep Biggest Loser on Tusdays and for 2 hours.

Biggest Loser Season 13 Finale

May 5th, 2012

As I am sure that you have figured out by now- I love the Biggest Loser. But, I will say that the season 13 finale of Biggest Loser being only 1 hour was somewhat of a disappointment.

Biggest loser being only 1 hour was far too little time for the finale. The whole show just seemed so rushed. I felt like we couldn’t even have a moment to celebrate in the wonderful weight loss goals met by so many of the contestants.

Trying to jot down notes and everyone’s weight, weight loss and percentage lost was nearly impossible as we skipped from one contestant to another with barely enough time to take a breath

And, Sam and Stephanie Poueu were there in the audience. It would have been nice to have heard a few words from them or about them, to find out how Sam is doing after his accident that left him in the hospital and rehab for months

Anyway, some people have been calling Season 13 of the Biggest Loser the ‘most controversial season yet’ with all of the drama that went on.

Well, with Tuesday night’s Biggest Loser finale (May 1,2012) we saw the last of the season 13 drama and can now look forward to season 14 and a brand new batch of Biggest Loser contestants.

While Conda and Kim made a terrible impression at the beginning of the season we did see Kim withdraw from the Conda drama, make changes and become a better person. I cannot remember exactly when the transformation took place. I believe that it was shortly after Daphne left the ranch.

Eventually we did see some changes in Conda but at that point no one was sure if it was her changing or just the fact that the Biggest Loser producers had the rest of the season re-edited to get rid of some of the drama due to so many of the fans being upset to the point of not watching if it was going to continue down the same road that it had been.

Jeremy tended to get a bad rap because of being Conda’s brother. But I have recently discovered that Jeremy really is as he was portrayed on the Biggest Loser. He is a genuinely nice guy with a great sense of humor.

Even though many tend to think he is like his sister Conda, and have posted some pretty nasty things about him, Jeremy keeps his sense of humor about it all.

One time someone asked him what he and Conda do for fun-kick old people?

Jeremy said that the comment was actually pretty funny and he got a chuckle over it.

So, knowing what a nice guy Jeremy is I have to say that I feel good that he was the one that won the title of Biggest Loser and took home the $250,000 prize.

Another example of Jeremy’s niceness is that the first thing he plans to do with is new money is to pay up a debt he thinks that he owes Buddy. Jeremy Britt said that Buddy talked all the time about how desperately his family needs a van. Buddy talked about how he hoped that here would be a competition to win a new vehicle like he knew Biggest Loser has done in previous years.

Obviously this was off camera as we didn’t see this on any of the Biggest Loser episodes.

“I told him that if I win I’d buy him a van,” Jeremy said. “So that’s the first thing I will do.”

But as season 13 was coming to a close we saw that Conda did indeed seem to have done some growing, maturing and (dare we say …) improving on her behavior and personality?

Ok, here are the weight loss results:

Ben 396-139=257                                           35.41%

Mike 358-160=198                                         44.69%

Lauren 246-89=157                                         36.18%

Gail 322-87=235                                             27.02%

Nancy217-56=161                                         25.81%

Adrian370-108                                               29.19%

Roy306-88=218                                              28.76%

Daphne 271-88=183                                        32.47%

Chism 361-103=258                                        28.53%

Caasandra 239-92=147                                    38.49%

Emily 264-102= 162                                         38.64%

Kimmy 219-71=148                                         32.42%

Megan 259-76= 183                                          29.34%

Chris 240-77=163                                             32.08%

Mike took home the $100,000 “At Home” prize for losing the most weight out of the eliminated contestants. He sure deserved it with the huge amount of eight that he lost and his whole personality is so improved. He is not the same Mike that we first met at the beginning of Biggest Loser season 13. Congrats Mike on your win and how far you have come J

Because Mark and Buddy walked off the Biggest Loser Ranch, and quit, they were not allowed to participate in the finale.

Here are the results for the Final 3:

Kim 252-118=134                                             46.83%

Jeremy 389-199                                                 51.16%

Conda 294-115=179                                          39.12%

Kim won the $30,000 gym for her community in her hometown ofRoswell,Georgia. Even though Kim had high hopes of winning and being the Biggest Loser she still did very well.

Her and the other contestants won food for their local food banks back a while ago. She won the gym equipment for her hometown and she won a new vehicle recently.

BTW, if Buddy had fulfilled his contract and stuck it out on the Biggest Loser Ranch for that last week or two then he would have had the opportunity to win that vehicle and Jeremy wouldn’t be spending a chuck of his prize money getting a van for the Shu family.

Maybe some won’t agree with that but I am just saying that as a minister and man of honor that he (and Mark) should have stuck it out. Why should Jeremy have to buy Buddy a van hen he could have won a new vehicle himself? I think it was the same day that Mark and Buddy walked off the Biggest Loser that they had the contest for the new vehicle.

Ok, enough on that. I just want to congratulate Jeremy and Mike for their winning and everyone else that may not have won money but won their life and their health back. You all did a great job!

Now, just because the Biggest Loser is done for season 13 does not mean that we are done talking about it. We will still be posting more about season 13 and updates about Biggest Loser and former contestants, etc.

Biggest Loser has yet to be renewed for season 14 but many shows are yet to be renewed as it is still kind of early but we will let you know as soon as we find out. We have high hopes of Biggest Loser being renewed for season 14 as it has, even with lower ratings since Jillian Michaels left, been doing well in the rankings coming in at numbers 2-6 usually and this is out of 14 reality shows. Biggest Loser also has around 7 million viewers each week so we expect it to be renewed.

After all, it survived Vicky so it should survive Conda JLOL

Take care and have a great Summer! J

Biggest Loser Season 13 Finale Tonight

May 1st, 2012

The Biggest Loser Season 13 live finale will air tonight ( May 1st 2012) This is the shortest Spring season Biggest Loser has had since season five.

The Three finalists, if you don’t already know it, are Kim, Jeremy and Conda.

Here are their stats:

Contestant

Name

Start

 BMI

Recent

BMI

Start

Weight

Recent

Weight

Percentage

Kim

Neilson

39.5 23.0 252 147 105 41.7%

Conda

Britt

48.9 32.4 294 195 99 33.7%

Looking at this chart Kim is far ahead percentage wise with Jeremy in the middle between Kim and Conda.

Now Kim has lost the most so far percentage wise but looking at her numbers it doesn’t look like she really has any more to go and so I wonder how good her numbers will stack up at the finale tonight compared with Jeremy who is in a fairly close second but still has enough weight to lose that he could manage to pull off a win tonight.

Conda on the other hand has the lowest percentage but still has a good amount left to lose.

My thoughts on this though are that Conda has spent a good amount of her time on the Biggest Loser Ranch focused so much on game play that I wonder if she could pull it off. Certainly it would be the upset of Biggest Loser history considering how many people have been (and many still are) against Conda Britt.

I think that tonight’s results could be close and I am seeing that many are hoping for Kim to win it.

As for the eliminated contestants?

Here is a list for you:

Biggest Loser Season 13 Sound Off About Walk Off

April 28th, 2012

Ok, so we all saw the big  ‘Walk Off’ and now people are pissed off and are sounding off.

Even former contestants are upset about Buddy and Mark walking off like that and most agree that after signing the contract that they should have kept their word and fulfilled their obligations as stated in the contract.

Here I am going to tell you  a lot of the comments and talk about Mark and Buddy walking off the Biggest Loser Ranch that I have been seeing and hearing:

Here are some FACTS right from the contestants mouths…
Mark: “I’ m done with the twists and turns. I’ ve got to stand for what is right!”

Buddy: ” I’m following my heart right now, and I’ m doing what I feel is the right thing to do! I just dont like one of the games rules, and for that I wont play that weeks game! I feel real strong like I have to take a stand for this thing that I just feel like shouldn’ t be! I dont feel like a quitter, though I’m quitting the show”!

Like one former contestant said “They should have read the contract!!!”

And for any of them to say that they had NEVER seen this kind of twist before in the game??? Pleeeeeease! They have brought back eliminated contestants before in the past. How can they claim they are surprised by this???

I was NOT happy with any of them! I find it pretty selfish too!

And here is one of my favorites:

And for Mark to claim on his facebook page that it was the Godly thing to do? Um, my God is a God of His word, don’t know who you’re following Mark!

WRONG IS WRONG!

There aren’t enough “CAPS or !!!” in the WORLD to stress how much that episode AGGRAVATED me!!!

They should have to apologize to the other thousands that wanted spot and wanted to complete this….i think it was a stupid…and i mean a stupid decision to leave…geez. they worked so hard and then just gave up and now have no opportunity for the financial prize!

i think conda was the mastermind behind the whole walking out t.hing

I don’t get why everyone acted like it was such a matter of principal when they signed the contracts & it was spelled out for them. They had a huge opportunity that any of us at home people would have loved to have had

I was not sad to see those guys quit! I hope they aren’t eligible to come back to the finale…others worked just as hard as they did and wanted to stay….that’s what made me mad !!

They are all old enough to realize that life isn’t fair, there are loopholes and challenges and struggles to overcome, ya thought they figured that one out already then to turn around and be a quitter. No one that has 2 weeks away from graduating from college can look back and say “I did that for myself I worked hard but it was the right thing to do”. It’s basically the same thing.

How sad that “adults” throw tantrums when they don’t get their way and walk off! Hello…a contract was signed! It makes me wonder if they have regrets after going home. I can see where it would be easy to be that mad about it but after a cooling off time, regret would set in. It’s the way that the game works and if one doesn’t like it, they shouldn’t audition for the show or sign a contract.

I wish they had stuck it out. Mark is at his goal weight but Buddy is not. Because they dropped out we are going to be denied seeing how much Buddy finally lost. He still had some to go to get in the healthy BMI range. We will not get to see the final product at the finale. I think they could have gritted their teeth and lasted a couple of weeks. Shoot if they were so unhappy being there they could have water loaded or binged to guarantee that they would fall below the red or yellow line and be eliminated.

What a bunch of drama queens…yes, Mark and you Buddy are nothing but drama, but seriously to act like you did and just walk off?

DO THESE PEOPLE NOT READ WHAT THEY SIGN? That’s common sense 101 people. I have nothing but disgust for both Buddy and Mark after the foolish decision that was made.

All of the pathetic whining that went on Tuesday night…my goodness…have they never watched the show? The final 5, or the Bully Bunch as I call them once again showed they are ungrateful for this life changing opportunity they were given.

They do not deserve anything but shame. They have dishonored their families, their home towns and for Mark his church.

Now if you would like to read Mark’s FB letter and see for yourself if you agree with what he is saying or, like many, you still think that he made the wrong decision.

Read his letter here

For those of you that didn’t realize it, both Buddy and Mark are pastors. Do you think that as pastors they set a good example or a bad one?
