Michael Jackson Memorial

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

As most of you probably already know,Michael Jackson’s memorial was today.

People all over  the world united in their grief to say goodby to Michael Jackson.

I must say that I missed the first part of the Michael Jackson memorial but what I did see was an emotional. beautiful tribute to the King of Pop.

All over the internet the buzz was about Michael. There were news reports, twitter updates and even a live video broadcast of the memorial for Michael.

Sadly, I  missed Brooke Shield’s speech. From what I heard it was a heart flet speech which caused the tears to flow- even Brooke’s.

I wonder if the video from her speech will be on youtube for those of us that missed it?

Personally I cried when Michael’s brother Marlon came up to the mike. His voice broke as he aqueaked out “I hurt” I know the feeling of that pain, a loss so deep so soul ahattering that you don’t know how you can live through it

I laughed when Marlon told about seeing the old man at the music store. When he asked the old man “What are you doing here Michael?” and Michael wondered how he had recognized him I could picture the whole scene in my mind.

The story was funny and yet sad too as it depicted how with the famethat Michael had he was no longer able to enjoy a normal life. Simply going out to a music store to buy some cd’s was an ordeal of putting on a disguiseand hoping not to be discovered.

The simple mundane things that we do every day without giving them a second thought were not available to huge stars like Michael Jackson and Elvis presley.

I am sure that Michael is now in Heaven looking down and he is happy to see how he affected the world. Songs that he recorded years ago are still being enjoyed by young and old, male, female, black, white and every other color in God’s rainbow of human beings here on Earth.

I have been trying to leave a message on Michael’s facebook page but I don’t know if it is because of how busy it is or if it is my computer. I havem’been able to leave it there so I will leave it here:

Michael sang songs that made us think and made us feel. The world seems a dimmer place without his shining star to brighten it. We will miss you Michael

Loss of an Angel & a King

Friday, June 26th, 2009

This has been a day of mourning for the world with the loss of an Angel and of a King.

Who would have thought when they woke up this morning that it was to be the end of an era.

As someone who grew up watching Charlie’s Angels & singing Michael Jackson songs.

The loss of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson leaves a huge hole not only in the entertainment field but also in the hearts of many throughout the world.

At 9:28 this morning Farrah Fawcett lost her long and courageous battle with anal cancer.

At approximately 2:30 this afternoon Michael Jackson died. There is speculation that he died of a heart attack but the true reason behind his death will not be known until the results of his autopsy come in.

Farrah is most known for her short role of one year on the hit tv show Charlie’s Angles. She is also remembered for her parts in movies such as Logan’s Run, The Burning Bed & Small Sacrifices to name just a few.

In The Burning Bed, which was based on a true story, Farrah played the part of an abused wife who kills her abusive husband by setting the bed on fire upon which he lay passed out.

Michael Jackson became famous when he was a small boy as the youngest member of the group the Jackson 5.

The baby of the group went on to become the most famous and, sadly, the first of the siblings to die.

Both Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson will be sadly missed by those closest to them and by the fans who have watched them for years and who now have a hole in their heart by the loss of

an Angel and the King of Pop

I will write more on this tomorrow but the weather here today has been stormy which has made it hard for me to be on here to write this. It is late now and I have work tomorrow so I must stop for now but I will have much more to write about the loss of these shining stars that died far too soon.

I also plan on having an area where I will start to list famous people and when they died. Just this year we have lost some very famous people. The list may surprise you.

If you have memories of Farrah Fawcett or Michael Jackson then please share them here in the comments. I will try to get the community area up and running soon so that we can all mourn their loss and celebrate their lives together.

Later :0)
